Just so there's no confusion from my camera choice and other UI settings, here's another screenshot from Broadcast cam that shows how far you can take the UI down while still being able to see the catcher's calls (it's a sinker here):

Note the absence of the confidence bars for each pitch type compared to the other screen.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

No problem. Putting it out there as much for the people who are fence-riding as well as those who have already bought and are looking for a solution now. Since there's a large clean screen community here I want them to be aware of this before purchasing.

I'm a clean screen guy, and I could rationalize this as this is a visual representation of the electronic usage of the pitch communicater. I wonder if there is some way to convey the signal audibly as opposed to visually.

I've personally decided to call my own game. Kyle Hendrick does this IRL. There doesn't seem to be a detriment to that, like potentially crossing up the catcher because he doesn't know what pitch you're throwing like it would be IRL. Calling my own pitches gives a little bit more strategy for myself. I always rationalized that the catcher pitch calls were based on the same scouting report that results in the hot and cold zones for each hitter. I have nothing to prove that I just always felt was something under the hood.

Can sinkers/2seamers reach over 100 mph with guys like Jordan hicks?

Are cap pitchers change ups still locked at 84mph?

Basically any changes to the pitch selection velocity

Thankyou sir, for laying that out. I'm a clean screen guy myself, though I suppose the buttons only appear momentarily until you choose your pitch, so I guess it's not the end of the world...

It might have a better chance of getting patched back in or made an option than I originally thought.
The hand signals are still in the game, in Storylines! It would be one thing if they removed them completely, but if the code is still there....

I hope to see it patched back in. I prefer clean screen and getting hand signals from the catcher.

Not the end of the world but it is annoying to me, seeing the same hand movement from the catcher on each pitch.

Or like someone mentioned. If the used the speaker on the controller I’d be cool with that too

Can you still choose both teams uniforms in franchise? I had read that some modes you can’t.

LR - slotted pitchers' innings are still very high. Part of this is due to many starting pitchers being in those slots, who have a lot of games started from either spot starts or having been demoted from the rotation. There are a few cases of actual relief pitchers in the long slots getting consistently high IP too though - Touki Toussaint is one of those.

I will say, from a balance standpoint, that if those innings are being accumulated from the 6th inning or before I don't have as much of an issue with it, even if the season numbers look high. I have manager hook maxed already in an effort to lower complete games by starters, and that also has the effect of getting those long relief guys out of the game if they start getting hit hard or tired. The only way to see how the CPU is managing its late game pen is by playing through games (looking at box scores can tell you who pitched and when, but it won't tell you what the situations were), and that's what I'm doing right now.

Can someone please answer this question about the number glitch… meaning if I place Tom Glavine on the Braves from the legends pool does it automatically change his number to #48?

How do you guys like the gameplay in general? Much better than last year? A little better? About the same? Worse?
