Noticed on the franchise gameplay video that someone posted that the Nationals were wearing a red cap with what looked like a blue bill, and it had the DC logo on it. Is that a throwback, spring training, or did they get a new alternate this year? I hadn’t seen it before.

This one? It’s their new BP hat. For whatever reason, it seems like we’ll only get BP hats and not ST hats since they still have the BP uniforms in and the ST uniforms are either just the regular alternate uniforms for most teams or the home/road for the Cards/Phillies since they got rid of the red ST uniform this year for both (sadly).

Yes that’s it. I’d be fine with whatever update to ST/Batting practice hats that we can get. The ones in 24 haven’t been used IRL for at least 5 years now.

Any new throwback uniforms?
We added 16 MLB throwback uniforms this year, from 1936 to 2016 for what amounts to 320+ MLB throwbacks in MLB The Show 25. All the new throwbacks will be available at launch.

Here are a few examples of the additions:
1937 Home and Road Atlanta “Boston” Braves
1969 Home and Road San Diego Padres
1987 Road Alt Texas Rangers
1994 Home and Road Mets
2001 Home and Road Pirates


EDIT: it used to be give and take. Adding new ones but retiring some others. But this time it sounds more like new additions on top of what we already have. Few more hours and we’ll know…

I'm so glad to see these added in. Hopefully, the revamped forest green jerseys from 2013-2021 get added too, but that might be asking for a bit too much

Hard agree. It’d be awesome to see any of the alts that got axed because of Nike’s dumb “4+1” rule brought back, along with uniforms that were lost due to redesigns

I forget if they were in last year but the 1994 “Cuba” Cubs Alternate and Road jerseys are in.

Also as I mentioned in the other thread, BP uniforms are out, but Home BP AND Spring Training hats are both in.

Unfortunately not. The Cards and Phillies got rid of the red uniforms anyway and just wear regular uniforms for ST now. But Tigers and Yankees don’t have the blue ST uniforms since they aren’t in the style guide. Wish they would get them in somehow.

Due to this new 4 + 1 rule that has been put in place the ST jerseys/alts do technically count in this. Disappointing SDS doesn't include them.
