Wonder if the HS and college mentions means we get new props and some actual meat to stadium creator this year.

Three major features I think should make it a real deal :

- change the template to have real MLB bullpens location. Maybe a 2-3 different options

- wall stickers for ads, dimensions and maybe some dirt and textures to make it less dull

- more real life assets and less Apocalyptic or Jurassic Park ones.


I know a nice to have would be dome and artificial turf options but I can live with the first 3 for this year. Combined with the immense talent of some users, we would have terrific stadiums.

I've spent a lot of time in Stadium Creator. I think the Devs definitely are aware of the current issues

There's a ton of awesome creators out there that have to work around the bullpen locations being in foul territory. Maybe there should be 2-4 templates with different bullpen locations to start from

Full relocation is in the game. The lack of legitimate future MLB players in the draft can't staff the rosters of the current 30 teams. They need to fix that before they put expansion in the game.

Regarding stadium creator having lobbied for years to get the feature I'm very happy with what we have. My stadium is Country Mile Field. There is some room for improvement but my stadium is fantastic. Given a choice I'd prefer more developer resources devoted to franchise.

All of the drafted players can be edited to be legitimate future players tho.

They also have plenty of MLB ready prospects that come up, you just need to play far enough into your Franchise to see them come up. Usually takes 3-6 years for them to make it up to the MLB level. I’ve had full squads of drafted players in both my 23 and 24 Franchise after I got a couple of years in (closer to 10) and didn’t edit a thing.

My only issue with Franchise is the SP stamina and velocity since you can’t “progress” either attribute. So you have young prospects always losing stamina and can’t stretch guys out so you have to edit them if you want to change that.

I think it's more you risk people sort of mostly ignoring this feature or it becoming a true footnote. I don't think they would remove it.

If foul territory remains unchanged (and massive), and walls in the OF and Foul Territory remain plain and paper thin, it's a mode I won't engage with anymore. If I can't make a stadium that resembles an actual baseball stadium, what is the point?

Stadium creator is in its infancy. It's a good starting point, but if they ignore the issues that have been reported such as bullpens in foul territory, too much real estate in foul ground, etc then you know it is not really going to be upgraded in the coming iterations.

I know it comes down to priorities and budget for the art department. Hopefully, they see this as a real value add that will bring folks both to the game and back for more.

Now, if they could just simplify the rebranding functionality!!

Someone discovered a cheat where you could duplicate the backdrops, drag them around and place them where you wanted. It really enabled more “props” and there were some very good alternative looks. So….someone decided to void that and all these were removed from your final product. It was totally unnecessary.

Dozens and dozens of unusable props, complete lack of new signs (which, imho, should be a priority), but ignored in updates. So there was a staleness. Only so far you could go with it until it became very repetitive.

I feel it is a very important year since for the Show's Stadium Creator especially with the A's and Rays playing in minor league/spring training stadiums this year and as a result SDS possibly not being able to include these stadiums at launch (especially the Rays). Stadium creators in the community will provide an important service to address this potential gap, so giving them a full array of customization options is most necessary. Add in the high school and college incorporation this year and it becomes all the more relevant.

Having created historic stadiums from around 1900, I would like to see stadium creator include:

1. Wooden stands similar to what one finds around 1900. These stands did not have concourses. I have had to patch together pieces of the small stands to try and duplicate the look of the old Cleveland Spiders League Park.

2. I love the look of the Negro League stands with the fans wearing the hats of the era. Can we have this for an option in stadium creator?

3. Stadium creator gives one no chance to increase the foul areas in the stadium. That also is a handicap in creating historical stadiums.

4. Being able to add signs to stadium walls. (This has been mentioned by others many times)

5. Road sections with trolley tracks.

These are my ideas.
