We're not seeing the full game presentations yet. They're likely playing on fast play or pressing x to speed through moments.

You know, you might be spot on here talking about the lighting may be enhanced. The other thing that I noticed during this Feature Premiere were the shoes that the hitters were wearing. Unless I've just never paid attention before, the shoes were looking REALLY good. Like unbelievable good. Maybe lighting is having an effect on making everything just look REALLY sharp.

Also, the dirt raising from the ground as players dive/slide into a base looked really sharp. This is new for this year, but I think the lighting is making everything pop really nicely over all.

I cannot wait to get 25 on my 4K gaming monitor. I feel like I'm going to be very impressed with the visuals. I mean, I've dumped 559 hours into MLBTS24, so I think I'm going to notice the difference in visual quality. I'm already noticing things from the YouTube streams/videos even despite the horrible compression.

      So excited!

        Also nice:
        - GOAT Difficulty confirmed for pitching - I figured it was but saw a lot of people speculating that it was just for hitting since they didn't mention pitching in the video Tuesday
        - They confirmed SW in the pitch selection is a Sweeper, so nice to see that added as a pitch option since so many guys use it nowadays

I must have missed it, they confirmed GOAT for pitching?

Long jersey pants also had some movement to them as well. Looking at the pitchers, you can see the pants moving a bit in their wind up which is a nice touch. Not sure if it happened in previous games, but it’s a lot more noticable in these gameplay clips, probably due to the lighting.

I really hope ambush hitting will work using timing hitting. I'd like to try to it, but not if I have to use zone. Does the AI use ambush hitting? After a pitch it shows which half the player was sitting on. Really hope the AI uses it against me and I can play the cat and mouse game vs some great hitters. Just an added challenge to pitching that we always need each year.

Ya thanks I watched it now, they don’t mention any updates to the cpu batter behavior which makes me a bit cautious in how much harder it will be.

Did they really just change the name of guess pitch and call it a new feature lol. Wow the balls, sorry I’m not stupid that’s exactly what it is. Graphics and jerseys are nearly identical. Call me extremely unimpressed

Guess pitch and Ambush Hitting are two different features. They even showed that guess pitch is still in the game when they went through the options.

Guess Pitch = pick the pitch and the zone location you think the pitch is going to, which will have no impact if you guess incorrectly.

Ambush Hitting = you pick the side of the zone you think the pitch is coming in. If it’s on the side you pick, you get a slight boost (PCI that covers one difficulty down). If it’s not on the side you pick, you get a significant penalty (PCI two difficulties up).

Did they say that? I didn’t watch the entire video. I always thought there was a penalty for guessing wrong using guess pitch.

Reading the in-game strategy guide guess pitch page, it states 'guessing either or both wrong is treated as the same result and incurs a small contact and power penalty' and 'additional contact and power penalties apply if you swing when guessing wrong'.

The way Chris described Ambush hitting it sounds no different to 'Guess Pitch No Feedback'. Which hasn't worked properly since TS21 anyway (it still gives feedback).

Bronze fielders will have perfect jumps approximately 9% of the time and good jumps approx 25% of the time.

I think the infielder reaction times is going to make fielding attributes pretty important this year. I am most excited about that so far. Can't just put all bats in the lineup now.
