I don't know if this a storyline bug or not, but getting a sound bug where Boog calls a flyout in the outfield a groundball base hit to the outfield

In road to the show guess pitch is only about 80% accurate.
Also playing a game went 1st to 3rd on a base hit by the next batter. He was safe at first. After the next batter animation, the runner at 1st was gone.

Anyone else noticing low-resolution stadium ads? Sometimes it's just a few, other times half of them are low-res. Not sure if it's random or if it depends on the stadium or just the specific ads

I created Barry Bonds and put him on the Giants and his jersey # is 28 instead of 25.

They've blocked us from being able to use retired numbers altogether, even with the players that match the name its retired with.

Just another feature needlessly removed for no reason to destroy the game further than its already been destroyed.

Awful additions to MLB The Show 25:

1. The HR Camera on every no doubter, even in local 2 player game
2. Can't do a practice swing anymore on a local 2 player game
3. Can't use retired numbers, which means I can't create old rosters, which is what I did with my time 99% of the time.

They just don't want me as a customer at all.

As far as the number options go....I just tried the below and it still works on 2025. Credit to sportsgamingguy2023 & doncropper

In 24 all you had to do was ensure he had his real number and export the player. That would make the number stick. I don't know if that still works for 25. Again, only for Created players (not legends as you can't export them).

If memory serves me right --- You ONLY had to "Select" a player for Export to have his retired # saved & used ...... You didn't even have to finish the Export !

1. Assign the created player the retired number
2. Save & close player editor
3. Back out of Edit Player screen
4. Roster Control -> Select the Team -> Manage Roster / Import Player
5. Select the player -> Export Player (doncropper is correct, you can just back out immediately and the player will have the number you assigned even if it's retired)

When I try placing a pitch on the outside corner to a left-handed batter/inside corner to a right-handed batter, the ball cursor goes crazy and moves all over the zone, even if I'm holding the stick perfectly still. It happens on pulse; I haven't checked yet to see if it's on any other pitching settings.

You have to zoom in to really see it but the mountains in the back are super low resolution at Dodger Stadium. It looks like they haven’t completely loaded in.

Holy crap in a bucket!! That worked!

Not only did that work... I didn't realize you can do it with anyone, even players that didn't wear the number.

In previous years, as long as they had the name of the retired # player spelled correctly, you could import and didn't have to do the export back-out thing.

Now for '25, it's limited to being forced to do that back-out thing... but it works just as well and even better in fact.

Citi Field is missing retired numbers in their stadium. The team retired #16 for Dwight Gooden last April and #18 for Darryl Strawberry last July and added them in LF above the stadium with the other retired numbers, but they aren't there in this game. Would be nice to add them.

For that matter 2024 wasn't added to their WC banner but I actually don't really know what that banner will look like when they add another year to it, and since you can win titles or pennants in franchise but will never see new banners I don't really mind.

Royals franchise - I have hit two homers with Bobby Witt Jr.

As Witt is supposed to be rounding 3rd base, it actually shows the 3rd base coach rounding 3rd base, and Bobby Witt is the 3rd base coach. Witt gives the 3rd base coach a congratulatory high five as he's rounding for home.

3rd base coach looks like a boss, as he's headed for home plate, acting like he just mashed the ball, and Bobby Witt looks at him proudly.

I know it's been mentioned a few times, but as they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, the headfirst slide into first has to be addressed. I have it happen to me three or four times a game on any groundball single, whether the ball makes into to the outfield or not, or even if there is a throw to first base or not.

I hit with the "Analog Stride" setting, which I believe contributes to the problem, because if I don't immediately release the right stick after I've made contact, the game automatically thinks I'm controlling the batter/runner and interprets the right stick, which is still in the forward position, as a call for a headfirst slide.

I've used this batting setting forever and have never had this issue in previous games.

Not sure if mentioned. While playing a franchise game, I went into my bullpen to warm up a pitcher while on offense. I started warming up two pitchers but then I was unable to get back to the game. Had to shut off the PS5, but then lost all progress of the game. This was an in-game save file.
