So i've been searching the forums and can't find an answer. I accidentaly fed some players from a few completed collections to my dd created player, and it looks like i've lost the 5% bonus i got from them when doing the dp and tp challenges. Ive gone from upwards of 400xp a play to around 260. Am i wrong? Is it based on just having the legend from the completion? Or the full stable of cards? Anyone that actually knows that could enlighten me would be greatly appreciated.

ya i am to i think the challenges are done :/ which sucks cause it was really helpful. i probably wont ever get my Trout now though

They had time to yank the challenge but not do the update. I'm sure they saw a serious dip in people buying stubs and decided to pull the plug. The fact is more people would play the game if the rewards were better. I always thought if you could beat legend mode the rewards should be much higher.

I'm not a rich man , I have three teenage kids so like many others cant afford to spend extra cash on a game, so these challenges helped to "level the playing field" for guys like me so if they did do away with them its a low move by Sony ! I have purchased every MLB the show since they started making the game so I consider myself a loyal customer but if this game is going into freemium territory It may be my last year buying this game.


Everyone that purchases this game deserves to enjoy all modes and you cant enjoy DD without player

Absolutely agree with you. This community seems to put the developers on a pedestal. They think because they happen to post here every once in a while and make a good game, albeit one that hasn't changed in many years, that they're the best in the world and for the people. Granted they're better than most developers in that they do occasionally reply, but when was the last time they actually listened to what fans wanted? The only thing I can think of is year to year saves. Issues that have been around for years have gone untouched(commentary, player models, rtts etc). Then they flat out lie and say they're doing a roster update on every player similar to the off-season one, and lo and behold that doesn't happen. It's annoying. Then they get rid of community challenges? Why? The game is going to seriously die down in a few months, why do this now after it's been out for 4 months? And they can't take a few minutes to update players who deserve it? They need to get their priorities straight.

You can also earn stubs via marketplace pretty easily without spending a dime. After that 704 stub promotion I was able to increase my stub amount tenfold.

I know the marketplace can be a bit of a chore but so can these monotonous Community Challenges.

People were getting a bunch of free stubs, including me from doing the dpc tpc.
Im sure thats not what they had in mind when doing community challenges and they finally decided to take it down. If you didnt get enough stubs and cards from that by now too bad on you.

So...I just got the game a little over a week ago. Some people don't buy the game right when it comes because it doesn't improve enough from the last version, don't have the money, etc.

Wow, they're gone now? So glad I did a few this morning and finally scored a diamond (sponsorship) to get that trophy done. I was wondering if killing this mode was what they meant by a big update was coming.
