THIS. Im hitting less than .200 w him. And he basically walks to first on a ground ball.

Same with Robin Yount. But at least he has some speed and has gotten some SBs for me.

I grew up when these guys were in their prime. I didnt realize that Rookie Yount and Vet Boggs were essentially useless at those respective times. LMAO.

I just need 10 hits with him to do Phase 2 of the Rays Team Epic. Only have 2 hits so far. Guy is an automatic out.

I got through with him. With Wade Patience is a virtue. I used to get a lot of weak grounders until I basically forced myself to get into deep counts with him. As for the Rays Epic, If you're like me, you'll get frustrated with Melvin. He's a real Moonshot-or-popout type guy. I've managed, but it was a serious adjustment

It took a while for me to get past Boggs too. Had a fair number of 0-4 games to start out and then in back to back games he went 3-4. Took me 6 more games to grind out his last 4 hits.

This is funny because Boggs was brutal to try and get 10 hits with for me too. Just weak hit after weak hit, even on grooved pitches down the middle. The Omar 10 runs mission was tough for me too because I couldn't get on base with him and he felt slow.

I finally got my 100 Ks with Tillman, dear God what a grind. Lost probably 4 extra games just because I was walking every leadoff hitter to get the stretch windup and I left him in games as long as possible so he was giving up taters left and right. I both hate and love DD so much.

anyone have any tips for getting the HR with the rookie Jim Edmonds? I've had him hitting 3rd in my lineup for 3 weeks now, and hit well with him, but literally CAN NOT get it over the fence. plenty of double and triples, but nothing even close to hard enough for a HR.

also for the people struggling with walks, believe it or not, playing on harder difficulty levels actually gives me more walks, try a few PLAY VS CPU games on legendary or hall of fame and take the first pitch, and never swing with more balls than strikes

field selection helps, I focus on playing at yankee stadium if I need homers. Check the wind too.

Play on rookie and just guess fastball low until you get it. When you do, power swing with good timing and you'll hit a homerun at least 75% of the time.

FINALLY finished my Chris Tillman starter mission. A 91 Eric Karros was my reward. Eh, we'll see how I play with him.

Can't get a double in conquest mode with Kinsler or Infante to save my life to unlock the epic Kinsler mission. In ranked online doubles with Kinsler are frequent.

Maybe try out different ballparks. I had similar problem with Stargell, then played conquest @Rockies and hit two in the same game. I use Kinsler also, because I have a mission to hit 23 doubles with 2B, and am almost finished by playing there and at Progressive firld.
