Aside from working (slowly) on the Live Collection missions, I am going thru Conquest Destiny. It's a fun diversion, but holy smokes is that Diamond Robin Yount a waste of a card. Sure, he can play defense, but he's a popup machine at the plate for me.

Re: What are you working on thread
I really enjoyed grinding Conquest and Conquest Extreme, but after seeing the rewards that were leaked for Conquest Destiny, I couldn't justify playing a single game. All of these guys were obsolete when Destiny was announced, and will be even more so when you can actually get Eddie Murray. As for Murray, he's fine...but nothing special. Even though he played for the Indians and fits with my theme, I'd still rather have Edwin at first and that card has been out for months.End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: What are you working on thread
I think Immortals really hurt the game. I had several in my lineup and they killed motivation to keep playing the game. Every new card that came out wasn't going to overtake an Immortal...SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: What are you working on thread
Working on making it back to World Series. After only being able to play a couple games in the first ten days of the month, I won two out of three last night. Sitting in the 760s.
Also sitting on over 300K stubs with nowhere to put them. If I brought Trout back, he'd be on the bench so it doesn't make much sense. I think my lineup is basically finished for the year, o I looked to the pitching staff. I've struggled with CC, so I'm slightly breaking from the Indians and Immortals theme and adding a borderline Immortal...welcome back Vida Blue! When I had him earlier in the year, I threw a perfect game with him in his only RS game. I sold him to get Trout, but it's time to see if he's still a beast now that the Immortals are everywhere!End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: What are you working on thread
Welp, I made it! Got to World Series for the second straight month thanks to a Griffey walk off that just cleared the wall. At last check, fewer than 100 people are in WS at this point, so that Luis Gonzalez card may be more rare than I thought. It might actually be worth something!
Now I'm waiting for the Immortal announcement Friday, though unless I'm blown away I may be done for the year. I downloaded NBA 2K19 last night, so the end of MLB is near. I've done everything I wanted to in this game and more. I built the theme team I wanted with no money spent and made World Series twice even though I didn't think I was good enough. Couldn't really ask for more from a sports game experience for 60 bucks.
If I don't love what I see Friday, I may sell Tiant and do a 1,000,000 stub pack opening. I'll post results if I do!End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: What are you working on thread
Looks like the Future Stars cards were announced via the "Sony Partners" on social media last night. Apparently, no souvenir exchanges will be needed for these cards, and the Future Stars will play into obtaining the next batch of Immortals.
Here's one batch:
There's also a stream tomorrow that will shed more info on these, as well as the new Immortals.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 09-19-2018, 11:39 AM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: What are you working on thread
Literally came here to post that. Its so stupid, yet exactly like everything else theyve done. Plus I already have an immortal catcher in Piazza, should ahve given us an outfielder, or a pitcher, or at least one that was worth buyingComment

Re: What are you working on thread
I am wondering if they are going to release another Ticket Counter Immortal. Since Yogi was available at Diamond Level 0 for 12K tickets, perhaps they would release another one for Diamond Level 100 at 15K tickets?
Either way, I am still sticking around DD a bit, working on getting cards of players that I like (mostly Cubs, of course).
I completed the Frank Thomas career arc. I just got to the Fergie Jenkins diamond card, and will have his arc done after that. I am also working on getting to the 85% live collection Jake Arrieta and the 50% autograph collection Starlin Castro.
I did also complete the Play and Predict missions, which I though were quite fun. Orel Hershiser's diamond card as the final reward is pretty solid.
The biggest disappointment for me was that Immortal Ryne Sandberg was released as a Ranked Season reward, and I don't play online at all. I thought SDS had said early on that no immortals would require online play, but oh well...
The Finest Program info drops today on a live Twitch stream, so that could be of interest if a Javy Baez card is a part of that. But I think I am getting close to the end of acquiring all the cards I want.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: What are you working on thread
People seem to finally be realizing that they just blatantly dont give a **** about the community anymore.
This is a team I use to have a ton of respect for because they always stayed true to the community and included them in the development process, this year has been a clear as day "**** you, give us your money" though.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
This Finest Program is really...not good.
The cards in it are great, but the execution is just baffling. 30K for a pack that provides 4 cards, but only guarantees 1 gold player?
Oh well, at least they gave us a free pack today...mine included a common player, a bronze player, a silver player, and gold live series Salvador Perez. Woof. If I were to have paid 30K for that pack, i would have lost around 28,000 stubs on the purchase.
The only ways to play the game and earn guaranteed Finest cards are to win (not just play, win) 50 Battle Royale games, or beat every MLB team via vs. CPU missions. Great, can't wait to fight to earn these guaranteed Finest cards, and then maybe sell them to help get more stubs, right?
WRONG...you cannot sell those rewards.
Oh, and you need 3 Finest players to just get to 25% mission completion. So you have to buy at least one pack or player, if you didn't get a Finest player in your freebie, to get a quarter of the program done. And you need TWELVE Finest cards to complete the whole mission. There's no stats tied to these...it's all about collecting them via packs or buying in the market.
I do understand that these cards are valuable in game and should carry a hefty price tag, but when a Finest card was GUARANTEED in the Finest packs last year, this doesn't look great.
The best thing about this was that it crashed the market on live series players, and helped me complete a bit more of my collection.
Sorry for the rant, but this was an unexpected heel turn by SDS in my opinion. They made some "interesting" decisions when it came to content releases earlier this year, but to make this kind of release, at this point in the game's life cycle, it just stinks.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 03-12-2019, 03:41 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment
