How people enjoy these events is beyond me. Everyone has the same exact team. 3 innings is not baseball at all. Completely eliminates the most important part of actual baseball, starting pitching. All you do is face submariners and knuckleballers and pitch to Joey Gallos. When youre winning and its still not fun, you know something is wrong.

My issue with Events and Battle Royal are 2 losses and your done. This would be fine but there are still too many unresolved issues that cost you a game. Fielders not fielding balls, balls passing through players, Fielders walking to balls, Fielders soft tossing throws, Floating PVI, etc...all things out of your control. These get exasperated in a 3 or 6 inning game. The minute I lose a game to one of those things I lose interest....and yeah everyone’s team tends to be identical.

Definitely agree with how much one mistake can ruin a run.

My two losses that were close games:

#1 - Guy brings in Niekro in the 2nd inning. Game plays out to the 6th and I have like 2 hits with several solid pieces but nothing finds a gap or makes it over the fence. Bottom of the 6th, I'm throwing a no-hitter combined with my staff and Niekro is up to hit with 2 outs. It was literally the 18th batter of the game. Slow grounder up the middle, SS fields it and the throw short hops 1B and it's dropped. It gets scored as a base hit. Next guy up I make a mistake finally and he squares it up: ball game.

#2 - For my 3 innings I'm hitting lasers everywhere but nothing falls. Had one guy on 3rd but fail to convert. Bottom of 3 this guy is not even close to hitting me...2 outs 0-2 pitch I 100% blow the pitch and leave it over the middle and he hits the walk off HR.

Grinded all morning and finished the Peralta program (Indians squad), Sipp program (may feed into a future career arc for Wagner/Hoffman) and the Robles program (may go towards the career arc for Griffey), plus completed the Rangers team epic by finishing the Napoli stats.

I also finished the Memorial Day stats and pulled the camo bat, so I got 4,000 stubs out of that. Decided that since there's no way I'm getting that Rookie Lofton autograph collection reward, I'd blow some stubs on packs. Bought a 20 box, pulled the camo bat again and pulled a total of 2 silver players (outside of the 3 toppers). This is your daily reminder: packs are trash.

Heads up for anyone doing the event right now, with Inside Edge, Matt Davidson from the White Sox has a huge power vs R bump today. He's won me a couple games already.

This a million times! Baseball is random. Poor game play is not.

I play a ton of video games...probably an unhealthy amount....there are too many issues in this game that have been going on for years. I love baseball...I love this game...but it drives me mad at times!

IRL I've gone back to the dugout 100's of time wondering how on Earth I just missed that ball when I put a good swing on it.

I guess I'm a bit more forgiving. The fielding animations and all that though...yea no excuse for that.

7 innings away from finishing the Jack Morris program which is my primary focus right now and the game refuses to select him, up to 30 attempts to get him and it has given me every other guy in the rotation every time. When i was focusing on other pitching programs other than his diamond card he was the only guy i got. The whole random pitcher thing is ok but maybe they can modify it so that whilst it's random it selects all your starters once through the rotation so we don't get the same bloody starter every game. Makes grinding for starters unbearable.

You can pitch hit him for your pitcher and he'll at least get the innings. Getting K's though is tough.

Actually had a 12 win event and the reward was...Verlander. My heart really wants Bryce Harper!

You guys are much better at this game than I am. I can never string more than 3-4 wins in a row together. I simply don’t hit enough to overcome the games when bad fielding animations, balls passing through players, walking fielders, etc, etc...take place...so playing in Events or Battle Royal is out for me. It’s a struggle to advance in Ranked Season. I’m patient at the plate and I get good timed swings in with good PCI often but simply ground out, fly out, or line out. Maybe it’s a bit of bad luck too.

Finally got Morris done, now all career arcs are done and I've done as much as i can on immortals barring Griffey (still stuck on his IV card) and the exhchange missions which I'll wait to do when i decide which one i really want.

After finishing Morris i realised i knocked out over 100 innings with Detroit pitchers and ive knocked out the majority of their hitting stats so i may as well finish their epic as well. Went from only wanting to do the Reds and Indians only but now working on my 7th epic lol
