Well, Trout's mine. For a low price of 400k stubs. I guess that's what a bit of luck and too much grinding got me. Pretty much just running Trout with a bunch of player epics now lol but it feels greeeeeat
No because think of how pissed youll be if you do that and actually pull Trout for 17 haha

Congrats! Hopefully he lives up to your expectations. That card looks incredible, especially after they boosted his speed

          Have yall ever played racquetball?

That is what hitting with Trout feels like

Currently finishing up acquiring Paul Molitor. I finished Sutton, Saberhagen, and Morris. I also finally got 89 OVR Nolan Ryan, so my pitching is insane now. Yet I still lose. Go figure.

The better my team gets the worse I play....it has zero to do with my opponents who more often than not have worse teams and swing at everything. My great players can only hit weak grounders, hard liners right at fielders, pop, or fly out. I usually get get beat 1-0 or 2-1 and usually because a bronze player on my opponents team hits a bomb off a pitch miles out of the strike zone, the magic string of infield squibs followed by a seeing eye single, or bizarre fielding out of my control.

Re: What are you working on thread

Yesterday I was absolutely BLASTED by a far inferior team, rating wise. I think it was a level 24 bronze user too. The final was 8-0 I believe and demoralizing to the point I put the controller down and stepped away from the ps4 for the remainder of the day.

Hats off to my opponent, he crushed 4-5 HR's and mixed it up on the mound. It was a classic "that's baseball" offensive performance on my part. I felt like I really moved the PCI well for most of the game and the number of good x weak outs was frustrating. Just couldn't get any big hits and a good number of really hard hit balls that never found a hole. I don't think I make up 8 runs at all...but I don't think I deserved to be shut out.

Also, I had another game I was down 4-2 and ended up getting DC'd where my game froze. Second time in two days...other game I was winning. In 150+ online games those are the first two instances I've had.

                Strange.

Your 8-0 game description sums up 50% of my Ranked Season game losses except I’m only giving up 1 or 2 runs a game. I just can’t hit the ball anywhere but at someone anymore even when I’m hitting it real hard. Very frustrating because I’m obviously pitching well so if I could just plate 2-3 runs it would make a big difference in my record.

Finally got my 25th double with Ripken, just to unlock the gold Ripken card and now I need 2 hits, 2 runs, 2 doubles and 2 rbi. Awesome. 5-5 in the first game but only one double. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This game has what I call mission Kyrptonite. It knows when a mission is on the line and crushes you. I know this sounds childish or sour grapes but I’ve seen too much......it knows.....it really does

I'm not normally one for the "game is out to get me" view, but I have consistently noticed that when I'm working on a SP mission, that pitcher is selected a comically small percentage of the time. In theory, each pitcher in your rotation should come up 20% of the time...but that percentage seems to shrink exponentially when working on a particular pitcher's missions.

Re: What are you working on thread

Let's see how much of a loser I am...

Player missions? There are three that I need to finish up: Trumbo/Sipp/Rosenthal
Career arcs? I just need like 75 more IP with Jack Morris

How's my progress on the Immortals?

Jackie Robinson: I have the 88 diamond and completed the mission. I don't think I'm going to rush for Robinson because the hats/jerseys are so expensive. He'll be one of the last Immortals I get.
Bob Gibson: I have his 85 diamond and it'll take a long time to get his mission completed. Not rushing for his program and the hat/jersey issue is evident. Too many stubs IMO
Mike Piazza: Definitely going to get Piazza's immortal. I have like 60% of his jerseys complete and I only need the 2nd career arc + 90% of the hats.
Albert Pujols: Just recently started Pujols and his 87 is pretty easy to get. I have the gold and am working on the 5% for 1B exchange. Haven't touched hats/jerseys yet. He'll be a 2nd tier immortal mission for me.
Cal Ripken: I have him at 80% and all I need to do is get working on his jerseys and whatever #2 career arc that comes.
Chipper Jones: He's a top priority for me and I'll be using the 5% team epic towards him to eliminate Jersey cost. I just need hats + the 2nd career arc.
Ken Griffey Jr.: Another top priority. I think I'm at 65% complete. I might just take the dive and knock out his jerseys and hats ASAP to get that 75% and 88 diamond.
Tom Seaver: I don't see myself finishing Morris any time soon so this one is going to wait.
Nolan Ryan: I still don't have the Diamond Ryan because I haven't invested in the hats/jerseys yet. I think I have a small % of each knocked out. Not in a rush for this.
Billy Wagner: I think I'm 80% done with Wagner, not sure if I need the hats or jerseys to wrap him up.
Goose Gossage: I only have 5/25 saves complete. Saves are tough this year because so many different players need saves.

First year with DD and really enjoy knocking out these missions...it's pretty rewarding.

The Jackie exchanges are going to be crazy. It's already way too expensive, and when they release the new programs/arcs that help complete it, it's only going to be worse.

I have 5 gold Phillies jerseys just chilling around that I'm keeping in case I need it, or if these things suddenly become 3k in stubs. I'm kind of surprised they're still so pricey --- Utley's been out for a while.

If I ever get 2 doubles of the 3 hits needed to finish Nava, I will be shocked. Been working on him since day 1 pretty much and hitting like .390 with him, but can't get 2 frikken doubles and another hit in the same game.
