I really hope they dont roll the immortals out one at a time. Thatll just jack prices up a ton one at a time. And if they only release one at a time then everyone is going to be working toward that one and getting him and well slowly start to see everyone with the same teams.

Don't think they should, and I also don't think they will

I just hope they release some immortals I have been working on. I'll be so annoyed if it's all the ones I haven't bothered with

Also just sitting on spare souvenirs cause who knows which of these I'll need and which ones will become insanely overpriced (Like gold Phillies jerseys right now???)

And yeah I was wondering what yall saving your 5% exchange for? I figured I'd do it on Dodgers jerseys or hats. That's going to be crazy when it can be completed
The LAD stuff is crazy expensive for Robinson. With the JR day 5% plus team epic 5% you could get 0 uniforms or jerseys

I'll still probably put him in my lineup just because it's Griffey.

Let's all hope they give us a new player arc on Friday so we can start knocking out an immortal. I'm assuming they'll slow roll them out so we'll get 1-2 career arcs at a time. I'm guessing Piazza and Seaver will be the first two immortals to have their missing career arcs posted. SDS will try to keep market price as high as they can on cards to encourage stub buying, IMO. Putting out immortals could essentially kill stub buying. But if the souvenir prices take off then you could see a stub increase.

I guess it could go either way.
I'm almvst positive that when they release the next player arcs, they'll be missing a player mission or two so you cannot complete them yet (like with Hoffman and Utley from the start). They are going to hold the immortals back for as long as possible. We'll to get another obscenely expensive PoTM program at least to go with the obscenely expensive camo/mothersday/fathersday etc etc programs they keep rolling out.

There was a mission on Jackie Robinson day that if you hit the offensive goals you got 5% towards JR.

Oh man did you miss that!?

I didn't get the game till first week of May because I was convinced I wasn't going to do the grind again this year. and I was upset with the lack of online franchise. Let's just say I got this game in order for other things to happen.

                And here I am again

New to the mode, grinding conquest right now. Was able to get all the missions finished in a couple days got really lucky and got Brett, JD and Green all done in same game. Was so pumped had the single and steal, double down to start game them a 3 run hr. Got 2 on second go of order, took until inning 10 to get green but happy to have them.

I've completed the diamond positional programs not sure what to tackle next so much content. I really don't want to do the conquest extreme after finishing conquest, ill probably work on some team missions and grind for my cap, such is the best idea ever, too bad not in other games.
                  Go Lions, Wings and Wolverines!

Man, I just don’t know how you are supposed to complete any immortal missions without spending a ton of money or a massive amount of time. Wish this kind of mode was out 10 or so years ago when I had time. Been staying up too late and getting 4 hours of sleep just to get some time in.

I completed my final task in Diamond Dynasty before shutting down all DD interest/attention.

By selling off all my extra players/stadiums/souvenirs/etc., I was able to get the 68,000 stubs or so to buy Kris Bryant and complete my Cubs Live player collection. This got me 88-overall diamond Bruce Sutter.

And with that, I have all Cubs players I care to get - without spending an extra dime on DD, and am now 100% focused on Franchise Mode.

Not trying to be a dick, but what is the point of that exactly? Why even bother if youre not going to play the mode ever again?

                          No offense taken!

Honestly, it's just for the baseball card-collection nostalgia of getting all the players from my favorite team into my collection.

I had fun with DD for a while, but the programs and things got too daunting for me, with all the time and/or potential real money required to get everything completed. So I just focused on getting all Cubs players and then calling it a day.

Gotcha. I got to that point this year because of the same reasons too but I just find franchise mode extremely stale this year as well.

The card collecting stuff is awesome and so addicting, but this year its just not nearly rewarding enough for the amount of work and stubs required. But I am an idiot and baseball is life so I keep playing and hating myself for it haha.

Its bad that the most enjoyable part of sports games for me now a days seems to be simming seasons and (re)building teams.

I hear you there...as you can imagine, I am playing as the Cubs in Franchise. After the 2018 season, I signed Bryce Harper, making the team even more stacked than before.

What might become an unintended consequence of this, is that I may have to blow the whole thing up in a year or two, as I will have a lot of young, expensive talent to sign (Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, Happ, Russell, Contreras, etc.) and most of my money tied up in one guy (I am paying Harper $31M/year for 10 years!).

Plus, my Cubs have a pretty weak farm system, and an older, expensive pitching staff. Could set up for a rebuild in the not-so-distant future if I can't keep up with signing the young guys.

But anyway, enough about Franchise in a DD thread!

This was the first year I put significant time into DD, and I can totally see the appeal. The excitement for me just didn't hang around all that long, and that feeling of resigning myself to the fact that I wouldn't get many of the better rewards crept in quickly. All I was doing was playing the CPU to get thru some low-level programs, and I started to lose interest. I figured if I were gonna be playing the CPU, at least it could be with my team and I could be doing GM tasks along with it.

Its unfortunate that a lot of you guys seem to be kinda newish this year but this is the worst year for gameplay and the DD mode in a few years. The sheer amount of content is at an all time high this year, but a lot of it has been useless since like 2 weeks into the game and a lot of it buried behind a paywall of souvenirs.
