After finishing Morris i realised i knocked out over 100 innings with Detroit pitchers and ive knocked out the majority of their hitting stats so i may as well finish their epic as well. Went from only wanting to do the Reds and Indians only but now working on my 7th epic lol
Let me know if you like him. I am pretty much close to getting his card if I feel like it (Exchange$ are expen$ive...)

Welcome to the squad Gagne! Not selling him for 60k.

After I hit the 12 W event my desire to grind fell off the planet. Luckily made it through. I think I went 35-10 total
Once you get some games in online with him, would you drop a Gagne review in the player review thread? I made some big flips and splurged to get him, but won't be able to use him online for a few days. Curious to know what a better player than me thinks of him!

I am really pumped for Gagne. That 71 MPH curve...oh wow. I also remember all the sportscenter highlights of that nasty breaking ball making people look stupid.

I'll give some feedback when I use him

It's a really excellent feeling when you need Gibson strikeouts but the game somehow keeps selecting him for you

            Gagne is an absolute monster.

            He's faced 8 hitters in 2 1/3 innings for me...7 K and a single.

The mix of pitches and that curve...everything I thought it would be. Both opponents were rated in the low 700's for ranked seasons.

Pitching is solid IMO: my staff had 13 & 11 K's in those games.

Have you found his change up to be effective online? It seems to be a pretty straight change unlike, say, Trevor Hoffman's.

I use it but the overall quality of every pitch is just so good. That 4 seam has some good run as well. Quite frankly there really isn't another changeup that can compare to Hoffman's...so I don't really expect Gagne to match that. His signature was that very slow curve that threw guys off.

I feel like this card pitches pretty true to what I remember him pitching like.

I threw an inning against a very good player with Gagne and no K's but it was a shutout inning. Had a walk and gave up a single. The walk was a borderline pitch on 3-2 that could've been a K. I feel really good with his mechanics and spotting his pitches.

it truly amazes me when you're on rookie difficulty, one out away from a CG SO, and the other team's bottom of the lineup all suddenly gets the plate discipline of barry ****ing bonds, lays off literally every single edge pitch, gets 2 walks and a hit and then gets in a run

Yep...I can shut out the CPU on rookie 99% of the time unless I need the complete game shutout for a mission. Then it’s either a pinch hit HR or the nonsense you mentioned. Each CG SO I’ve needed takes 2-3 times to get.

Finished Utley Program and finished Rookie Ripken's Challenge. Still got Pujols, AS Jackie Robinson, AS Piazza to grind out. I will say that Victor Robles has been my favorite Leadoff hitter so far. Big Speed, Good contact, and surprising power

Just got my CAP 2B to silver (75). Does anyone know if the play vs. CPU missions keep increasing in difficulty?

It just took me 6 tries to beat the Nationals on All-Star, so if I have to play more games on HOF or Legend to get to the diamond, I'm just going to give up now.

I’ve unlocked the first Diamond CAP at 2B and I haven’t had to play any games vs anyone to move forward. It’s 2 stat based missions. One with my 2B and an other with either Altuve, Murphy, Pedroia, and Lemahiu. All the previous games I had to play were on All-Star. When you get the stat missions I mentioned above use Murphy at 3rd, your CAP 2B, at SS, and Pedroia at 2B. I’m not buying Altuve...Play on rookie and use a lot of sinker ballers to get grounders. Part of the stat based missions are 75 Assists with your CAP and 65 Assists with this players mentioned. I’m almost done with these missions so I will let you know what lies ahead.
