Re: What are you working on thread
Hahaha, having just done it...I can't really disagree. I'm super task oriented, so once I committed to it, I was all in and just grinded at every opportunity. I don't blame you for wanting to do it bit by bit.End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: What are you working on thread
If you're smart about it, you don't play that many consequential games on Hall of Fame or Legend. By far the most important thing is to win as many of your steal fans games as possible, preferably on Hall of Fame or Legend. However, I dropped two Hall of Fame steal fans games in my first 6 turns and still finished with some room to spare. If you win most of those games and don't sim at all, you'll make it. It just takes so much time, and playing 100+ games, mostly on low difficulties, is hardly what most people would call "fun"End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

So until someone finds a way to do the whole thing on Veteran... I'm out.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Needed 9 innings to complete the seattle pitching stats to unlock Jay Buhner, got to 2 out in the 9th and got the connection error and the stats didn't count. Crap like this just makes me lose interest in the game. Will finish it later but once I'm done with the seattle epic I'm calling it quits on grinding for missions, the grind just kills any enjoyment factor after awhile and becomes a chore.Comment

What are you working on thread
Almost done with the first manifest destiny and this alone makes me not want to touch conquest extreme with a ten-foot pole
Drives me crazy when I do 1/2 things for the mission
I just did so much more work to find out I get to keep grinding for players I probably won't even play, maybe Cole hamels
My ten pack's best card was a Mike Moustakas
I just did all this work for Mike moustakasLast edited by ph33; 05-09-2018, 05:13 AM.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Decided to start playing ranked season's for the first time in '18, played 3 games and lost all three. I've read somewhere on these boards that people use a specific camera for hitting that makes it much easier to determine balls and strikes , is this true ? Because the three guys i played had ridiculous eyes at the plate. It's possible they were just really good but something didn't feel right about it, even the best Show players occasionally swing at stuff that's a borderline strike.
I'm also guessing that everyone i will come up against is going to have the highest power rating guys in every position and just spam power hit all game ? Can't really blame them the way the game has been made this year but it's going to get tired fast.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Everyone uses strike zone camera, which in my opinion makes the game way too easy and has completely ruined online play. No one swings at balls anymore because of that camera. I played a handful of games with that camera last year and put up at least 12 runs in every game. Its a joke. I know no one will agree but i hate what that camera has done to the game.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Yeah I tried it once and just hated it. Takes all the fun out of the game. And there’s a definite difference since it’s appearance. They neutered created players this year finally so hopefully they ban that camera from ranked play next year.

Re: What are you working on thread
lol, I didn’t realize that camera was EZ mode and that it was that popular. Don’t think any of my friends use it. Always liked it because it gave you more of the batter’s POV instead of being right behind the batter.
I highly doubt they’ll ever ban it though; It wouldn’t bother me if everyone was on an even field with a camera that doesn’t suck but I can see a big uproar if they ban it.
these are my personal gripes that are legacy issues:
1. People who just give you zero time between pitches, especially if you have a pitcher coming up in a pinch hit situation. I played this dude who would just go so fast, that when my pitcher came to bat, I was mashing pause and he STILL selected a pitch and threw it before the game let me pause. The game can detect when you should pinch hit while playing offline, they should have that notification online as well so jerks don't quick pitch you the moment they see a pitcher come up. They're just getting a cheap strike.
2. People who lead off before EVERY SINGLE PITCH if they got someone on base. If you hit leadoff twice, then the game forces the runner to manually retreat if the pitcher looks/throws over. It should be the same thing if you lead off once. The game automatically gets the runner to retreat if you lead off just once and that's crap to me, because my next point is....
3. Base running and stealing still too stupid easy for fast guys. Look, I get that dee Gordon is fast. But I played someone who didn't lead off with him, yet my slide step+pitch out STILL couldn't throw him out. WTF am I supposed to do there? And it's not like I have some scrub at catcher.

I hardly play online anymore but it got to the point last year that if people took an extra lead on every pitch, I wouldnt pitch the ball. I would just step off every single time until they stopped. Then I would get messages cursing me out. The whole baserunning/stealing in this game is awful. The pickoffs are terrible, youre way more likely to throw the ball into the stands than you are to pick a guy off.Comment
