Re: What are you working on thread
I checked my at bats for them so you get at least an idea of how long it takes. 30 at bats with bronze, 50 with first silver, 60 with second, 70 with gold and im just about done. Last one I needed innings which was the longest part obviously. Single game stats havent been bad either.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
I have no idea since once you finish something they dont let you see what it was. I can tell you tally stats V is 33 hits, 6 hr, 12 rbi and 4 runs.

I'm learning right now that the assists are the most annoying thing to get. At bats and stats will be easy but I had to put him at second so he'd get a ground ball, and only one went his way all game. I'm a 70 going to 72 soon and that was for the two hit one assist missionComment

Re: What are you working on thread
I have my second basemen up to an 85 Diamond. I like the second basemen because you can set him up for incredible speed and the batting contact is high. The power is good also. However besides the stat grind which is not hard you need to trade in cards and equipment as you go which is kind of a slap in the nads.Comment

What are you working on thread
........what
I'm so screwed lol
I only went with catcher because I feel like the ceiling is low when it comes to cards you can get from grinding/buying with stubs. I'm pretty happy right now with my rotating cast of infielders, and my outfielders are just alright but I know they'll have way more of those down the line.
right now I have Perez/Contreras (Who just dropped in ratings) and my upgrades would be Posey, grinding, or Gary Sanchez's crappy defense (And he should drop too) I hope it's not too long before this CAP catcher can surpass what I've already got
I figure some form of Mauer is on the horizon and maybe other cards, but I pledged that this year I would grind as little as possible and that I would just focus on playing games against people, which I hate myself for sometimes, but playing the CPU on rookie got old for me really fast last year. But I guess it's also a nice place to grind while watching TV...Last edited by ph33; 05-12-2018, 09:22 AM.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
I decided to go with a CP and it's currently a 78. All I need is the stat requirements for the 78 and I'll jump to the 82. I think I have 21/60 IP.
The ability to finish all the career arcs has rejuvenated my "grind" ability. Still rocking a no money spent squad and I'm seeing my team fill out rather nicely. I should be able to finish the Utley/Carter/Hoffman arcs which will give my the 90 Utley, 92 Carter, 89 Hoffman, and 88 Piazza. I'm not too far from the 85 Bob Gibson...I think about 40 K's away.
Projected rotation:
Diamond Saberhagen
Diamond Sutton
Diamon Hamels
Diamond Severino (post game pull as a gold)
Diamond Gibson
*Gold Paxton and Manaea
Bullpen:
Diamond Lee Smith
Diamond Wagner
Gold Axford
Diamond Hoffman
Gold CAP RHP
Gold F. Vasquez (Rivero)
Lineup:
C - Diamond Gary Carter
1B - Diamond Mike Piazza
2B - Diamond Chase Utley
SS - Diamond Hanley Ramirez
OF - Gold Vlad
OF - Diamond Doby
OF - Gold Ohtani
I have some decent bench pop with the new Bour, Gallo, DeJong, Gyorko and a couple others with speed like Gold Dee Gordon.
Card I'm most excited for: that 89 Hoffman. His 77 is crazy with that circle change...can't wait to add an even better version!
To add I'm currently 8-0 in my ranked seasons career and like 450 rating.Last edited by NDAlum; 05-12-2018, 11:43 AM.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

What are you working on thread
Jake/MikeQ, got a ballpark estimate on how many players and whatever I have to trade in for this future catcher of mine?
I exchanged/sold a lot of players and I have some extra souvenirs. Sitting on about 20k in stubs and I could sell some extra golds/high silvers if I felt like it. I also haven't bought a pack bundle in a long time. I think yall know where I'm going with this.
Also, I noticed attributes in the squad menu don't change when you put on equipment. I assume and hope this changes when you get into a game?

Re: What are you working on thread
I haven't done any Created Player stuff, and most likely will not.
I finished a bunch of stuff today. Mejia done, Carter done, Diamond Piazza acquired. Molitor done, Gold Pujols acquired, and the single game mission of his done. I forgot to complete Torre, so I did that, got the Diamond Chipper, got his mission done. Finally finished Axford (I do NOT like that card. Didn't like it in the previous games, don't like it now). Finished Dyson yesterday, so got Diamond Hoffman now. I need just 4 hits with Kendrick (and finished Kingery), but still need to do Jersey/Hats for Utley, and that will depend on the jersey prices coming down, so not in a giant rush. Also finished off Arizona's pitching stats so got Diamond Finley, and almost have him done, which will be my 5th completed Epic (Brewers, Reds, Indians, Rays).
I'm chipping away at Detroit's stats. Mainly need PA's, IP and saves. Won't be much longer before that's done. The Career Arcs that I have not finished yet are Williams, Utley, Hanley and Hoffman. Hoffman obviously will get completed. The others, I'm not keen on forking over all them stubs over for Jerseys, so who knows if/when they'll ever get done. I'm looking at possibly doing an Immortal or two. Figure I'll do one for sure as I'll have atleast 5 epics completed and can substitute that 5% for probably jerseys. Chipper is enticing, as is Seaver (especially considering I have both down to the exchanges). Ruth and Griffey will probably not be possible due to various reasons. The closers, Nolan and Jackie are blah to me. Piazza and Pujols are possibles also. We shall see.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Of course the final mission for the Utley program is a doubles mission (2 doubles 3 rbis in one game). First game went 4 for 5 3 hr 10 rbi, second game 3 doubles 0 rbi.....this will be fun lol
Third game went 6 for 7 with him with 3 doubles and 2 rbis , this is rookie Chipper all over again lol. Although it will be less frustrating because Utley isn't leaving 2nd base for the rest of the year and I'm not fussed about Robinson l.
Happy to finally have Carter and now diamond Piazza. Need four more hots with Bour to unlock the final Molitor so hopefully the first Pujols card will be unlocked by tonight.Last edited by beardedaussie; 05-13-2018, 03:37 AM.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Let's see I think I need 9 saves with my CAP to get to the 82...then 8 saves with Axford...then 8 saves with Hoffman's silver card.
So damn I need to play at least 25 more games to just knock these out! OuchSOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
