Re: What are you working on thread

Got Diamond Griffey and I've completed that program as far as it can be. Now it's time to cheese conquest games to knock out the Wagner and Hoffman programs as far as they can go. I wasn't going to do Hoffman, but his Diamond looks nasty if fastballs remain almost unusable online. I'm also doing a few tasks in the Ripken, Piazza and Chipper programs just for the stubs and tickets. I don't really have any other players or tasks in mind after that, so it'll finally be time to shift my focus to online play. The team I'm going to battle with is going to look something like this (No money spent. Everyone is Diamond unless otherwise noted.)

    C Victor Martinez
    1B Edwin Encarnacion
    2B Jose Ramirez
    SS Omar Vizquel
    3B Francisco Lindor
    LF Larry Doby
    CF Ken Griffey, Jr.
    RF Matt Kemp

    Bench
    C Yadier Molina
    2B Brian Dozier
    3B Pedro Alvarez (Silver)
    OF Jim Edmonds (Gold)
    OF Billy Hamilton (Silver)

    SP Bob Feller
    SP Corey Kluber
    SP Carlos Carrasco
    SP Orel Hershiser
    SP Danny Salazar (Gold)

    RP Brad Hand (Gold)
    RP Pedro Strop (Gold)
    RP Chris Sale (Silver)
    RP Nolan Ryan (Gold)
    RP Billy Wagner
    RP Lee Smith
    RP Andrew Miller

Re: What are you working on thread

Ive already become extremely frustrated with conquest extreme. Trying to take out NL central in 4 turns or whatever. I keep losing must win games, the first because my outfielder doesnt recognize that the ball is coming and just rolls through him. Then because the computer hit 4 straight bloopers that all landed within like 2 feet of one another down the right field line.

I hardly play online anymore but it got to the point last year that if people took an extra lead on every pitch, I wouldnt pitch the ball. I would just step off every single time until they stopped. Then I would get messages cursing me out. The whole baserunning/stealing in this game is awful. The pickoffs are terrible, youre way more likely to throw the ball into the stands than you are to pick a guy off.

Lol, my about me section says "I'll stop stepping off if you stop leading off" and it works decently. Once went back and forth with someone for a while until they paused for about a minute. I assume they checked my profile to send a message before realizing hey can't because I don't allow that from people not on my list.

Been sitting at 14/15 doubles with Joe Torre for 4 days now. This game just does not want me to have diamond Chipper.

3 Doubles shy with IV Ripken to get HW Ripken. It'll be a blast playing another 950 games to get them

Did they tweak the difficulty for rookie in the last update ? Trying to grind through pitching missons quickly and finding the cpu is hitting and pitching 20x better than what rookie has been previously.

Sometimes you just need to exit out and restart. That's what I do. Really annoying when you play on Rookie for a reason and the computer actually wants to fight you that time.

I've only had the game for 2 weeks so I've been getting my feet wet here and there. Most of the team epic rewards look very meh so I don't feel like bothering with them. But I figured the Marlins reward of Dee Gordon was a decent one, and I'm a Marlins fan so I felt kind of obligated to do it...

Until I saw 500 plate appearances with Marlins players and 200 IP with Marlins pitchers.

I love my team (Not nowadays. *@&$ Jeter) but wow...playing 20+ games with crappy Marlins players just for All-Star Dee Gordon?

hell naw. to the naw naw.

Re: What are you working on thread

At the risk of being hated by those who have struggled with the doubles missions for various players, I went on a really good run the last few days and got all the doubles for Piazza and the hitting stats for Chipper (which includes 15 or 20 doubles, I forget). I'm also at 13/25 doubles for Ripken in about 75 at bats. Not sure how or why, but I've been finding the gaps consistently with those guys, especially playing in Cincy and Colorado. I feel like there are some players whose stances/swings lend themselves to certain kinds of hits for me, and for those guys I'm able to hit liners towards the gaps.

New content dropped and it's not too hard to acquire the new cards.

No immortals can be unlocked but you can get some nice diamond cards now through career arcs. Looking forward to Hoffman and Gary Carter joining the squad soon.

Doing Hoffman ASAP. I just got to 60% in the program today. Also, I want the Diamond Mejia right meow! I'm not home right now...can anyone post his stats or a screenshot of the Mejia card?

Anybody here go for those created player missions? I expect quite the grind to get it to at least an 82 so I was wondering if anyone's experienced the grind yet.

Kinda considering making a CAP at catcher, 2B, or one of the outfield spots.

Decent at everything, not great at anything. 70/80 contact, 50/60's power. 70's fielder but with mid 80's arm and decent speed for a catcher

I finished shortstop and am almost at diamond for catcher. Catcher has been much easier than shortstop. At one point I needed like 80 assists with 4 specific short stops, two of which are diamonds that I couldnt afford so that was awful. They really wanted assists on like every other short stop level though, was obnoxious. Other than that fairly easy though, catcher hasnt been bad at all.
