Lol nevermind, lost my next game. Could tell from the first pitch I was gonna lose. Kid had 4 hits in first inning against me, all of them on pitches outside of the strike zone that he got good/good on. He couldnt hit anything in the strike zone though which just perfectly demonstrates one of the many broken aspects of this game because of how the pci works.

    Sounds all too familiar

Guess you can buy packs with what you earned!

Pretty much made 20k from selling Moustakas and Turner. Bought a 20, more hot garbage.

The delightful thing about Battle Royale is that if the game isn't screwing you, you're probably playing a jerk opponent who will screw you!

Yet I keep coming back to it!

I really just cant play this game. Youre exactly right. You either win or get ****ed. Those are the only two options. 2 outs in the last inning. Kid gets his second late/weak hit with ichiro(his only two hits of the game to that point, i know hes gonna to steal after the first strike. So i pitch out, but thats ok he just goes back. So I pitch out again, but that doesnt matter because he just goes back again. Then he pulls a slider low and away for a homer and I lose.

Game is legit worse than an EA game now.

Re: What are you working on thread

Had a nice weekend playing DD (as always, offline modes using classic/directional/auto-fielding to allow ratings to shine more). Knocked-out a lot of stuff:
            • Ryan Hanigan mission. Wasn't even trying to and managed to hit a gapper with runners on 2nd and 3rd. I immediately exited the game to avoid losing it from a disconnect, lol. He's an ex-Reds player so I can't really HATE him....but I am SO glad it is over....
            • Jarrod Saltamacchia mission. Came up an RBI short on Saturday. Two games after completing the Hanigan mission on Sunday, I managed to hit an opposite field wall-scraper HR to get my last RBI needed in the 9th inning (bases were empty too).
            • Saberhagen diamond mission. It took 140+ pitches after hitters fouled-off probably 20 pitches in the 8th inning. It took surviving a bases-loaded jam in the 9th inning as he was running on fumes. BUT....the CG shutout was completed after numerous aborted attempts.
            • Completed the gold/diamond CF stat mission for Duke Snider. To be honest, I had a lot of fun doing this (primarily with diamond McCutcheon, Dale Murphy, and diamond Larry Doby - with a sprinking of diamond Robles). That McCutcheon has been beyond money for me...I got him from the market a while ago for about 30k. If you need a relatively cheap multi-tool CF, he's such a good one.
            • Wrapped up all of the August stat missions....yeah....I played a lot
            • I also got SUPER lucky with the POTM packs. I managed to get 4 of the 5 players (only one I missed was Rodon...who is the most common one and was a cheap 2k stubs on the market). I REALLY want that Carpenter to really work on the Thomas 1B stat mission; working on those missions now to get him. Dickerson cost a lot of tickets, but I LOVE lefty mashers and he'll be a nice piece when I go to do the Belle LF missions.

Actively working on the following (working on stat accumulation for other positions without focusing on them):
            • complete Sutton diamond mission (SHO, 6k)
            • complete diamond/gold flashback SP mission for Sabathia (less than 40 Ks left)
            • CF silver/bronze/common mission for Snider....ugh, not sure who to use here
            • Snider bronze/gold missions (ok...be honest....is the bronze Snider mission going to suck?)
            • finish July POTM program
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Some guy just had just late/checked that turned into a 3 run double and he is bunt dancing before literally every.single.pitch.

Moments that slowly kill the game. Or i should say, quickly

He also hit a ball to center to get the guy from 1st to 3rd, except that griffey apparently had a stroke and wouldn't throw the ball, so he got a free run

The question now has to become....is this stuff done intentionally? It has come to light that many online games are now implementing a type of difficulty adjustment that will shift the game to ones favor....it will tend to benefit the weaker built team or weaker player. This would explain bizarre fielding, slow runners stealing easily, cheese bloops, and impossible homeruns off pitches way out of the zone. It also explains your perfectly aimed metered pitches going right down broadway and your well timed swings on fat pitches with immortals being weak outs.

In the EA hockey game this became evident to thousands and any thread, post, or mention of it was deleted. I was permanently banned from the EA forums for constantly posting threads asking EA to address it. In a private message with an EA representative we discussed the subject and he gave a very bizarre answer saying he “doesnt believe it exists” strange he couldn’t give a straight answer since he works for the company and represents that game. I told him i would give him the benefit of the doubt if he could answer 5 questions about specific things myself and many others were experiencing (such as much slower players magically being faster than your 99 speed guy) basically bizarre things like we experience with MLB online. He went dark and never responded.

It wouldn’t shock me if this type of thing is taking place. An EA memo on the subject discusses how they think it optimizes player engagement and makes people want to play more. Personally I think if they just did a good job with matchmaking and people have fun is what optimizes player engagement. This crap now is actually driving me away. Like it drove me from the hockey game.

Depending on your viewpoint, I just got really lucky or did something very stupid. I now have one of the 7 Luis Tiant cards proven to be in existence! I'd been getting outbid by someone else all day, and I put in another bid right before work and it got filled less than a minute later! For the low low price of 878K (lol), I've got the most OP pitcher in the game, who also happens to be an Indians legend. So pumped to try him in RS! After a two-day slump, I'm back on a winning streak and up in the 740s. Hopefully I draw Tiant early and often and somehow make WS!

Awesome!! Let me know how it is. I kinda gave up on pursuing him and filled my bullpen out with 1337 arms instead. And packs.

Will do! I'm addicted to packs now, too. Got 11K left after selling off some random stuff, and I'm gonna blow it on a 10-pack in hopes of hitting Diamond and getting my stubs back up. I have a problem! The good thing is I have every player I want, so until one of the handful of Indians guys I'm waiting for drops, not having stubs isn't a big deal.

Spent 90k and 2k on Ramos/Gagne. In their debut, the two of them helped each other blow a 3 run 9th inning lead -_-

Two games now where I had 3 run lead and lost it in the last two....I guess on the positive side I'm actually scoring runs.

Seriously? That's surprising. Gagne has been unbelievable for me. Arguably better than Immortal Wagner. I'm gonna chalk it up to small sample size. Keep running him out there. I promise you he's a beast.

Yeah, I think what I've learned in this game, is that if you play someone good, they'll eventually find a way to smoke you out especially in later innings. This person was good. Great discipline and chased nothing barely outside the zone (*cough* STRIKE ZONE CAM *cough*) This guy I played wouldn't hit ANYTHING but fastballs, and my breaking balls just wouldn't stay in the zone.

I'll stick with Gagne. Something about Ramos sucks though. He's got to go.

                              Ruins the game.

Sidenote, finally finished Mike Schmidt. I had left one exchange for Chipper left and used the team epics on the other. The jersey exchange would cost me something like 75-80k stubs to finish right now(slightly less if I put buy orders in and just waited). Thats such a joke. Instead Im going to have to buy 3423942 hats and exchange them for 30 each.

I ask because I have grown indifferent to Vida Blue (PS CC just as good for me) and I will have lots of stubs from selling him and I still have Syndergaard/Parker lying around. And the only pitcher I guess I really want is Tiant and .... yeah. I need a new player to buy this week or else....
