Actually, another power hitter with mediocre defense sounds like a PERFECT conquest reward in August. I think you nailed it.

Strangely....do we have a single Reggie Jackson card in the game? I don't think so. He may not even be in the game, since usually he would have a rookie or vet card by now, but Ted Williams doesn't have one either so who knows.

I think I have his IV card, maybe from the TC? Pretty sure I remember getting it just because it's Reggie. That flashback Grandy from CQ last year hasn't made an appearance yet either has it? Maybe they are going to go full troll and just offer last years basic conquest rewards?

Realized I never did the walk and a double with VI Griffey. Thats been real fun. I hit a double with him to lead off game. Then the computer just refuses to walk me. I sat there in a 3-2 count swinging as late as possible. Fouled off like 5 straight strikes and then there it is, ball 4. Just kidding, a pinch off the plate and not touching the zone gets called a strike and im out.

So FUN.

Update, I decided to give up the runs I needed to keep it going and 2 at bats for Griffey later I get my walk.

I gave up on trying to obtain Griffey. When I tried that Double Walk mission I also doubled in my first at bat. In my last at bat of the game I had 3-0 count and I thought “I got this” but then the pitcher beaned him and I threw my controller and never went back to Griffey lol

Damn it, we got this update this week and next week before seasons reward comes out

I guess we got two more weeks before the mega pack suicide

lost a BR game last night and continued it this morning, maybe my 12 win is a trout
but my 9 win is a Seager .... so we probably are not trending that way

got to 9. 12 win is Arenado. Not bad.

Only loss is when I was up 1-0 when I had 2 wins, and the guy tied it up with some bull****. went 7 or 8 innings and I couldn't score.

After getting up to 844 in RS with some really satisfying victories, I apparently suck now or the game just hates me. I've lost 4 in a row, and several of those were in hilarious fashion. All the way down to the 750s now, so World Series is almost definitely out of reach. Gotta love when you strike out 13 with Tiant against a World Series player, giving up just 5 hits in 8 innings, but somehow three of them come on three straight pitches so he scores 2 runs and I lose. Makes total sense he was just flailing like an idiot the whole game but magically got good for 45 seconds. To make it even better, Griffey got called out on a check swing appeal with 2 outs and the potential tying run on 3rd in the bottom of the 8th. Yes, the Immortal Griffey with 119 discipline in the game where check swings get called strikes approximately 1% of the time. **** off.

I get called for check swings about 95% of the time online. Its all connection based.

That happens. It happened to me last month when I kept sinking and then I just found a magical one or two days where everything clicks.

Jesus, conquest destiny looks even lazier and more terrible than I possibly imagined. It's just conquest extreme again? And the ultimate reward is a card that is obviously useless because immortals exist. At least the 74% player is a "Breakout tiger with 106 Contact v Lefties", because that's what we want, along with "Royalty with 100 clutch". It's like they are trolling us

Wow, didn't even realist they haven't even released all the missions yet so we won't be able to get that unremarkable Eddie Murray card until about a month from now. Fail, upon fail, upon fail.

At least they nerfed Ellsbury so he's utterly useless, a great new reward along with a platoon 1B for the new event. Seriously, are they drunk?

Hahaha, I appreciate it. I went on tilt when I posted that. As everyone knows, this game can be extremely frustrating and sometimes nonsensical. I'm gonna keep trying and hopefully I go on a run. I've already got a free Diamond coming for this month. I think September will be it for me. Then I'm moving on to 2K and Red Dead Redemption 2.

As for Conquest Destiny, what a joke. I'm actually kind of relieved they botched this. If it had been a 98 Gaylord Perry reward or a Diamond Lofton reward, I probably would have risked death by boredom and grinded it out. As it stands, none of the cards that have been revealed are worth using, and certainly not worth grinding for. What a joke.

I'm just going to keep playing the pack lottery and build up my stubs until I actually need them for something. Also sitting on 16K tickets. Time to drop an Immortal in the Ticket Counter!

The leaked rewards for Destiny are that terrible Yount card you can see, Sergio Romo (eww), PS Salv Perez (eww), PS Whitey Ford (make it stop), then Al Kaline (seriously). Then at the end you get a slightly better version of that A Justin Smoak card that costs about 4k.

It would have been a great card at the beginning of the game, no idea how they didn't realise that it's moronic to release it now. It does amaze me how no one at SDS seems to have any common sense, which was made abundantly obvious by the delayed release of the awful and grindy Team Epics, but has been continually on display ever since
