Re: What are you working on thread

Really just debating on which cards I should grind out jersey/hat exchanges for. I might do Gibson because even though i don't need to, I just am incapable of getting K's with his Rookie Legend card. Might do Pooholes and Nolan Ryan to start. Maybe Ruth since I think it's needed to get his All-Star card.

This. This. This. Can we make a big ****ing banner that says this, get everyone at OS to sign it and send it to SDS.

The programs last year were fine. With tweaking they could have been perfect. Instead we get this nonsense.

Honestly, this should've been the case from the start for each of the immortal/career arcs. Make it so that you can get to the penultimate player card without a single exchange, then lock the final card behind the walls. It's not fun spending 40 minutes in menus exchanging and selling so I can buy after doing the math to see exactly how much I need so I can have an 83 overall Albert Pujols. I'll even say it's one thing to put them on a paywall ahead of diamonds, but even then the ultimate goal should be getting to the final reward, and the exchanges should be used to get there, rather than to the 88 Nolan Ryan

I’ve decided I want Bob Gibson. Sigh. Why do I do this to myself.

Ruth is a tough one as you can't get his Breakout card yet even if you do buy everything and most of his missions are tied to the Beakout card. You'll only be able to get that cad when the 2nd career arc mission for him comes out, which is also the time when you can unlock his immortal, so I can't see that happening any time soon. You can get his AS card if you pay the fortune for most of his exchanges, but it frankly isn't very good and only has one 5% mission attached to it, which I assume is one vf the naff single game waste of time missions

Yeah the Ruth is disappointing in that their isn’t a version of his card even worth using except his Immortal card. Whereas the Rookie Wagner car you get at 10% is a beast.

To be honest I think they are all missing a 75%, genuinely great card that you could just get for doing everything from the start. That would make it worthwhile but most of the ones available are just a bit crap. Like a version of them from one of their best seasons, a genuinely great card, just not the weird Frankenstein Immortal card that isn't unlockable yet.

This. It should be a Bronze/Silver starter card(Bronze at 0%, silver at 10-15%, a Gold card at 40%, and a 85-89 Diamond at 75%. Just enough that every possible active challenge, including exchanges. Though if that was done you'd probably see something along the lines of Team Bat exchanges as well, which would be hair pull inducing

Well, I finally finished the Cubs Team epic last night. I'm guessing that will be the only one I do...the team IP requirements are just too much. I don't play enough to get 200 IP with pitchers from each team.

Yeah, I did the Braves one for obvious reasons but collectively, its a nightmare. You can accidentally finish some of the hitting ones, or at least get close enough where if you just fill your lineup with that team for a game or two, youre good. But the IP requirement absolutely kills any shot of doing that with pitchers.

I cant decide if they are completely oblivious to how the game plays and that their requirements are ridiculous, or if they just dont give a **** about the consumer anymore.

It’s my observation that as micro transactions become bigger parts of gaming and their profits the overall game quality and common sense go out the window. It’s really evident in sports gaming where they don’t even try to innovate anymore they just slap a little lipstick on a roster update and all

Gotta finish the exchanges in order to finish the Hanley arc, I'm also grinding out Doby's All-Star stats with Matt Joyce and Richie Ashburn. (George Brett's conquest mission is all that stands between me and Jim Edmonds) I'm 1 CG SO away from Bret Saberhagen's career arc being done, 71 innings away from Lee Smith's career arc being done, and 13 plate appearances and 3 hits with Will Middlebrooks away from moving on in the Red Sox program.

Wooo finished the Hanley career arc last night. My first one. Only others I’m seriously working on is Williams(which I’ll never finish because I can’t hit a HR with him) and Lee Smith. Still just kinda waiting around for Frank Thomas to come out.

Trying my best not to drop $100 and keep the NMS train rolling but it's tough!

Down to like 4k stubs mainly due to impulse buying some pack bundles which didn't net me any big pulls. I could sell a ton of silver uniforms to get like 30-40k stubs probably.

When I take a moment and think of the value of $100 vs the value of my time it's when I start to waver.

Well that was crazy, won 17-1 and hit 5-HRs so that was nice! Thanks for the tip. I'm currently working on the AL batting stats now, any tips for that?
