Need. CG SO win with 8 Ks. I play the Tigers on rookie and have 12 K”s and a no hitter going into the top of the ninth and I’m 2 outs away when my 1st basemen boots an easy grounder to put a guy on first but the next batter hits into what should be an easy double play to end it but my SS, despite being mere feet from second base, throws the ball into the outfield. Runner comes around to score; Mission Failed

I get Corbin to pitch again and play the Tigers once more on rookie. Now my fielders won’t pick up routine balls....not errors but just pick the ball up and drop it for some reason....7 Times so far throughout the game but I manage to keep the shutout going until......top 9 nobody out. My pitcher has only thrown 87 pitches...but 4 perfect metered pitches in a row go inexplicably way out of the zone to walk the leadoff hitter. Next batter hits it to third and make it 8 balls now picked up and dropped by my team....no double play both runners safe. I strike out the next batter for Out #1 but the next batter hits a ground ball To shallow LF and guess what? My fielder cannot pick up the ball cleanly and the runner from second comes home; Mission Failed.

That was a controller throw folks...right across the room....9 balls picked up and dropped by various fielders in the same game....can they please patch this idiocy. No player would be in the majors if they picked up and dropped balls as often as happens in this game. So mad right now at both games and I refuse to believe it’s bad luck.....
Talking with others on the board I am convinced this is a server/internet issue. People who play the offline modes don't see this happening. I had 5 games in a row last night with non stop nonsense. Players not even trying to field balls and crap like that.

I did just learn something though....up 6-2 over the reds in the 8th....gave up a couple runs...had a guy on 1st....slow chopper towards 1st...grab it run in to the fielder...and nothing..****nner is on first...I guess running in to him and moving him with the ball wasn't good enough. Next batter 3 run jack...First bit of nonsense I have had today....taking a break though...lol

Hall of Fame and Legend is easier to hit as long as your patient. Its the Joey Gallo/Schimpf effect. The smaller the PCI in this game, the more solid contact youll make. Its a damn shame what they turned this hitting engine into.

Finished the Piazza doubles finally, just need to wait for the Carter program to be finished so i can get the 88 Piazza.

Also fnished the IV Ripken stats, not sure if i want to finish the other stat mission of 50 hits and 25 doubles. Have 20 hits and 2 doubles so it's still a long grind ahead. With Machado and diamond Hanley i don't really need Ripkin anyway.

Unlocked IV Seaver and finished the first stat mission. The 5 complete games is easy enough but that only gets me to 40% so I'll put him on the shelf for now whilst i finish pitching stats for the epics.

Finished both D'Backs and Mariners hitting stats and only have 90 IP left for each team to go to finish both their epics. I think once I've done those two I'll take a break from the grind and start playing online until the Carter, Utley amd Molitor arcs are ready to finish.

Need a season/postseason like mode for us offline users , would make the grind more enjoyable. A squad battles mode like what fifa ultimate team has dine this year would be great too.

You should be able to get the 88 Piazza just by competing what is already available for the Carter one. I did. Take a look again.

I think it's just the exchange missions I'd have to do unless I've missed something. I've only exchanged 1000 points on both hats and jersey's and don't really want to waste stubs on those or the live series exhange.

I played on Hall of Fame for the very first time ever and beat the Cubs 3-2 in Conquest Extreme. The pitching is insanely difficult and challenging. I loved every second of it. I don't know how I did it the next game, maybe it was the fact that it's Coor's Field and the Rockies pitching is suspect but I beat them on Hall of Fame 8-0. I love the hitting, because it was nice to actually walk 3 times in one game and have to actually wait for your pitch.

Just had to brag for a second, since my girlfriend doesn't care about this stuff! Lol

I am still working on the Ryan Hanigan quest. I have now played about 80 games with him and I still have not been able to get a double and 2 RBIs in the same game. He has 1 HR, 3 2B in about 200 ABs although his batting over .300. He's also batting 3rd in my lineup after my two fastest hitters to try and get him more RBI opportunities.

Any ideas on what to do with him? I use directional hitting and have played plenty of rookie games in Colorado.

Re: What are you working on thread

Still working on my created player closing pitcher, and I have a question for anyone that is ahead of me. I have got him to a 85, and I chose the break decision with the eventual plan to go balanced for the control and the more even H/9|K/9 with the idea of using gear to push both up to 99.

When I chose break, my pitch repertoire went from 4SFB, SL, CH to 2SFB, CHG, KNCV. Now I am afraid if I grind up to 88 and go for balanced or break I am going to end up with a garbage pitch repertoire. I can neither find a way to view the repertoires for the various choices in game, nor can I locate the information using Google.

Anyone have any idea what the breakdown is for pitch repertoire for the various choices for created player starting pitchers and closing pitchers?

If Coors isn't working, try out Comerica Park or Kauffman. I've personally had better success hitting doubles on those stadiums over Coors. If you have Griffith Stadium I'd recommend that over any other stadium for doubles.

If directional hitting isn't working try out zone or analog and see of that helps in any way.

Really want that Didi card...hope it’s worth it. Fortunately pulled Albie in the special pack along with Corbin. Had to spend 74,000 on Hader but picked up Ohentani and Lowerie cheap. Pretty much depleted all my stub surplus so I sold my Dykstra....I kept popping out with him anyway.

                      Finished the stat missions
                      Finished Lowery easy
                      Finished Ohetani easy
                      Finished Hader easy
Finished Corbin after a few frustrating games
Finished Manea easy (get him in ticket counter)

Still working on Albie went 7 straight ganes hitless with him but finally only 2 hits away.

Unlocked Villanueva and I can’t hit with him. He’s going to hold me up. 2 Hits 1Hr 3 RBI same game.

I just finished the insane grind that is Conquest Extreme. If you're talking about starting from scratch, that estimate sounds like it's in the ballpark. If you're just talking about the craziness of getting from 60% to 100%, I'd estimate it takes about 125 games at 12-15 minutes each. That's around 25-30 hours alone if you're not simming any games, and I wouldn't until the last few turns, and even then only if you're in really good shape with reinforcements. It's a major commitment, but one I recommend for budget players since the player and stub rewards are really good. Plus you can grind out some of the program missions while you're at it.

Been grinding like a madman over the last week or so and made some big additions to the squad. I complete Conquest Extreme and finished the Lee Smith career arc. In all, I've added the following in the last week:

                                Diamond Lee Smith
                                Diamond Brian Dozier
                                Diamond Yadier Molina
                                Diamond Matt Kemp
                                Diamond Billy Wagner

Right now I'm grinding towards the Diamond Griffey (about 80% finished with counting stats mission that will get me that card) and finishing everything that can be finished in the Wagner program. I'm also knocking out the random player missions from career arcs and Immortals that are somewhat easily attained and have stub/ticket rewards, even though I'm not trying to complete any of those programs.

I'll be fielding an all Indians starting lineup and rotation, with the exception of Matt Kemp and Griffey. The bench and relievers are from a variety of teams until I can fill them in with more high-end Indians cards. Very much looking forward to the Albert Belle program and any of Thome/Lofton/Ramirez.
