That’s awesome and blows my mind? I am almost gold, but can’t imagine how much time must go into hitting the diamond level. What ranking are you in RS? Have to assume 800 or so?

Both have a RHP on the mound so load up your lineup with guys who hit RHP well. It just comes down to patience and the ability to put the PCI on the baseball. There's no secret. I failed one yesterday where almost every ball I squared up was an out. It happens you just can't let it get you mentally out of it.

I've played an insane amount...and I'm actually a person who still works 40+ hours/week and not from home. Showdown, to me, gives the best bang for buck XP wise if you're able to defeat the bosses consistently.

I went 32-6 and hit 900 in the first season. I haven't played a game in the new ranked season due to the fielding issues.

They are a GRIND for sure but as I said above, I'm not into H2H much right now due to the fielding issues. I actually having fun knocking out showdowns.

The bolded is all that matters.

It doesn't matter what cards you have, what level you are or what you play...if you're having fun...that's all that matters.

Yea thankfully I'm in an industry and area that hasn't been hit too bad and still working 40+. You're definitely maximizing your time with the game better than me and I thought I was playing a ton. Lol. Just hit level 30 silver.

I've just got to not get so flustered when I miss a pitch or when the CPU makes some miraculous defensive play in showdowns. I've beaten them just not at the rate I'd like.

I did beat the AL East today finally. Sale can be tough since it’s on All Star and you only get 10 outs. I went in 11-15 to Cole so it wasn’t terrible.

Do you start your PCI in the middle and adjust or do you have another method that works?

That's my problem is just getting so annoyed. The last one I did it felt like every hard hit ball was at someone. Good timing with good placement on fastballs up in the zone somehow turning into double plays. Whether it's just mental or not it's hard for me to enjoy it when it FEELS like I literally can't do anything. That's with taking a ton of pitches too.

I didn't get mad at DeGrom painting corners even when fatigued and low confidence - I expect that from him. It annoyed me when Kopech was painting after excessive pitches and no confidence. But I beat Kopech and lost to DeGrom by a run.

Little things like that bother me..which is my problem. But this game also specializes in raising blood pressure so it is what it is.

I assume I'm going to have to start grinding showdowns more anyway. I'm not overly excited by the new TA stuff but I'm guessing that eventually we will get some really good legend flashbacks in the next stage so might as well start hitting them. Especially since fielding still sucks. I was about to say **** it and drop some money to finish collections but lol not now.

I'm still curious if the new SD will be any different in design or if it's just the same format.

I tend to bump the stick to the left 123.....123 until the pitcher begins his motion and then I move it up just a hair so im keeping tension on the stick. I only use the inner pci with the center fading out. Never have the outer on.

That's what has worked for me so far.

One thing I thought about that would help ease the frustration is maybe getting 1 voucher for each mini boss or get 1 for defeating them both. That way you're at least getting something. I know you're getting stubs and xp but that's not really why I'm playing the mode.

Yeah just from what I've been watching they look insanely easy. This is something they got right instead of making us slog through the same format and even possibly making it harder just because. With the cards being universally panned, this is the best case scenario for earning the new ones and assuming they don't further nerf XP then you can level up even faster.

The whole Stage 2 run is on Veteran* and your "filler" starter cards are silvers. That's why it's easier.

I doubt they're going to change either of those things.

Edit *At least it was for me in the NL one, plus I've seen the same reported on Twitter. Chase says he had one All-Star mini-showdown in the AL one.

Even the moments and bosses are easier and quicker. It's glorious

Example: objective to score 3 runs in 2 innings...but you get bases loaded to start
