Re: Showdown Thread
That's how the first ones were but these are easier because the moments are significantly dulled down to earn more runs for the showdown. I mean even in the one I did last night the Rockies kid was painting like Maddux so I'm sure those sliders are still in effect. But on veteran they throw more fastballs down the middle so just be a little more patient.Read my OS articles: https://www.operationsports.com/author/corydell/Comment

Re: Showdown Thread
Add our boy (I’m a Braves fan) Kyle Wright to a potential final boss. Had him today. I’ve done it four times now and still no Graterol.Comment

I know these are supposed to be on veteran, but pitch speeds absolutely feel faster than veteran.Comment

Re: Showdown Thread
Haven't played a lot the last couple days but gave the NL showdown a try. Really easy but my second mini-boss was Maddux and he got me to ground out the whole time and I lost 2-2.
On the second try, I got Glavine as the 2nd mini-boss and beat him easily. Got Graterol as the final boss and easily beat him. If you take the long way and keep beating the moments, your lineup and perks setup at the end are insane. Super fun and way less frustration than the original set of showdowns.

Re: Showdown Thread
He wasn't hard to hit at all. I think he has a slow curve so just sit middle up. His delivery is easy to pick up too.Read my OS articles: https://www.operationsports.com/author/corydell/Comment

Re: Showdown Thread
I had Zach Britton as the 2nd and then Clark Schmidt as the final boss. Britton is horrible as he throws 102 mph sinkers, but the run requirement for the second boss is so low it doesn't really matter. Schmidt was weird, he didn't give up a single hit to my right handers, but didn't get a single out against my lefties. Only needed 5 runs so he didn't last longComment

Re: Showdown Thread
I got off to a bad start vs. Rolison, and I'm taking a break! I was hitting him pretty well, but hit into a couple of early DPs and a couple of bad strikeouts, which is aggravating. I also didn't help myself by only collecting 6 runs going in, plus for some reason I thought he was a righty and loaded my lineup to go against a righty.
But for anyone unfamiliar with the prospects I definitely recommend googling them first as soon as you see the logo in the bottom left so you can plan your drafts.Read my OS articles: https://www.operationsports.com/author/corydell/Comment

Re: Showdown Thread
Yeah the DPs are killer. Mood and momentum killer for sure. With these prospects I've faced I've googled them as soon as I knew the boss to know what handedness they are. I ended up stacked on lefties too when I faced him but I only needed 4 runs so it worked out.

EDIT: I lost....again....I suck! These final showdowns are getting in my head!Last edited by buziii; 04-26-2020, 12:43 PM.Comment
