Doesn't anyone else find Nelson Cruz to be absolute garbage in al central?

Moncada, grandal, abreu, encarnacion, Jimenez, and Donaldson I get almost every time... All find. I'm 0 for 272 with Nelson Cruz

Heck no! Even if you miss it slightly with him it still can get out. Same with Sano.

Meanwhile I hit hrs with single during every single run

Cruz, groundball to shortstop double play every time... I in large part have gotten over hitting into double plays but they pitch him outside alot and I keep rolling over... Guess I need to adjust. When he comes up now I assume it's an out, I don't feel tjsy with anyone else in al central

I'm also utterly terrible with jd Martinez against lhp or rhp

Sorry about that but I am glad that I was not the only one that it happened to. It is ridiculous that it is even an option to happen.

When there are no more pitching moments stop offering me only pitchers as rewards!

You have to to lay off the stuff low and away. The CPU is going to bait you with those pitches in double play situations almost every time. I just make sure to look for a ball up. It's better to strike out than hit into a double play

I WON MY FIRST SHOWDOWN!!!

OK, many of you are saying "So? What's the big deal? I've won hundreds of them."

Just indulge me, because I haven't won any....until now, so I'm gonna gloat! NL - Stage 2, went in 8-15 vs Adonis Medina. I didn't have a hit until my #8 hitter came up, even though I was being patient and hitting good pitches. They just all were going at somebody, like usual. I thought "here we go again". But I stayed patient, thinking my luck may turn around.

Won on a Sandberg 3-run walk-off with 8 outs remaining! Go me!

So that's what a Team Affinity Voucher looks like!

Ugh, I blew my latest 4th inning Showdown in the most unimaginable way possible...I scraped together 5 runs to tie it with 10 outs remaining. I had a nice run all the way through, I got the Smoltz SP as my second diamond in the initial draft. I pitch really well with him and he got me through those pitching sequences pretty nicely. Of course...it was all for naught....

After tying the game, I remember saying to myself, "Josh, stand up and walk away...take a break.". Did I? No...of course not....11 or 12 batters later....we were done....I just lost all composure...I just could not get good wood on the ball. Felix has the kind of pitch mix that gives me fits...

But I have figured out one thing....I cannot hit with Torre. I hated his card last year...and this year is more the same. I'll probably do my next run on this Showdown with Ellsbury (unless I get a really good random diamond for my high diamond).

I beat 4th inning showdown 1st time, beat al central twice

Now I've tried al stage 2 three times and totally failed. They have lefty Pitchers all the time and I feel like I'm not picking them up. All moments are veteran.

Played an event game before and scored 11 runs

Still sticking with my approach for Showdowns.
- Clean Screen
- Directional/Classic
- No "perks"

Knocked out the 4th inning Showdown last night; Successfully completing all but two of the missions. Man...Felix is a tough SOB to face; he's definitely going to be my choice at 300 stars.

He was pretty wild when I faced him. Walked the bases loaded then walked in a run then walk off GS. He'll still be my choice though.

Attempted the NL Central for first time last night. That was the easiest of all the stage 1's I've done. Nice to be completing the stage 1's at a pretty good clip now. Patience at the plate and hitting has finally turned a corner for me.

I'm declaring myself the King of Showdowns! I have sucked at Showdowns, but I just completed the 4th Inning Showdown for my 2nd showdown win in a row and my 2nd in the history of showdowns!

Went into the Final 11-15 and won with 7 outs remaining with a Splendid Splinter walk-off single. King Felix is tough. I followed advice from others and tried to be patient and wait for strikes above the bottom of the zone. In my experience with this showdown, he doesn't throw many strikes low in the zone. I laid off low pitches and almost all of them fell below the zone.

EDIT: Since this winning Showdown thing is a new experience...there's no point in repeating the Inning Showdowns, right? You can only earn the 70 program points one time, right?

Just beat the 4th Inning Showdown thanks to a walk-off bomb by Carlos Santana.

Wow, that was so less taxing and annoying than the 3rd Inning one! ... lol.

Well, after winning about 10 straight various Showdowns, I got my butt handed to me today over and over when playing. Lost NL Showdown twice, once to second boss and than next to first.

I also got embarrassed in Events games by guys who should never beat me. Just can’t hit today ( although I went to Conquest and won a Legend game 1-0...I.e. still couldn’t hit)...

Even checked my internet speed to see if it was laggy or having issues. NOPE, I just suck today.
