Well, after winning about 10 straight various Showdowns, I got my butt handed to me today over and over when playing. Lost NL Showdown twice, once to second boss and than next to first.

I also got embarrassed in Events games by guys who should never beat me. Just can’t hit today ( although I went to Conquest and won a Legend game 1-0...I.e. still couldn’t hit)...

Even checked my internet speed to see if it was laggy or having issues. NOPE, I just suck today.

LOL. That's funny because I often think that! I just don't have it today. Other days I think I'm pretty good. But....it's a video game! I often play a Conquest game first thing to gauge how I'm hitting before trying a Showdown or online.

Yeah, that’s a great warm up or litmus to say you don’t have it. I got home from my son’s baseball facility and decided to play another event game...Lined up with a WS player and figured this will be ugly.... I got several leads but knew he would come back. I had two outs in the bottom of the 6th with a 2 run lead and he homered to tie and I figured that was it, I couldn’t hold on any longer. Ended up winning in 8 innings 12-11. I hit 7 dingers , he hit 5 Total opposite of earlier. Who knows??.. ( the homer fest was pretty silly, he had picked Shipett of course)...

Are all stage 1 showdowns on veteran? Have they always been or is this new?

I beat al east in first shot and every mission including final boss was veteran.... I thought I remember al central having some all star stuff

According to SN they must have changed them unannounced because they said the same thing. They definitely weren't originally.

I've gotten better but this is great... Makes team affinity not seem like an impossible grind...

Can anyone match this Showdown epic fail? I'm not good at Showdowns, but this was awful.

NL Central, first showdown vs Castillo, down 0-2, 15 outs.

I got one hit, a solo homer. My only other baserunner was a BB that was immediately erased by a DP.

One of my wtf moments was an NL Stage 2 first mini boss in Reyes. Started the game off with a 2 run bomb to tie it at 2-2 since a guy starts on second base. I then get 12 straight outs and lose. Haha

Showdown is some bs

I was playing the cpu on legend to get Phillies innings with a pretty weak Phil's lineup and I scored 4 runs in 2 innings.

Stage 3 showdown west on "veteran" I can't get nothing going and the speed differential is like hof atleast. Had marichal down 15-7 or 15-9 and I think I lost 15-13 but I had no momentum.

I was taking to 2 strikes and he kept being in 0-2 counts. By the time I got to two outs he had 82 pitches and the energy wasn't even at the halfway point yet

After just owning the Stage 3 West showdown in my first attempt completing 11 of 12 moments, I've been able to do nothing in my next 3 attempts. I've lined out more times than I care to count and with only 3 to 6 outs in all the moments lining out 2 to 3 times per moment is pretty much game over. And the ridiculous diving defensive plays........arrghhh

This is as frustrated as I've been since the beginning with Stage 1 showdowns.

After just owning the Stage 3 West showdown in my first attempt completing 11 of 12 moments, I've been able to do nothing in my next 3 attempts. I've lined out more times than I care to count and with only 3 to 6 outs in all the moments lining out 2 to 3 times per moment is pretty much game over. And the ridiculous diving defensive plays........arrghhh

This is as frustrated as I've been since the beginning with Stage 1 showdowns.

Stage 3 with the diving plays has been crazy! At least 5 in a row against me.

Also, I usually go into final boss completing 9-11 moments. Stage 3 I go in with 4-6 runs.

I wish I could have the stats of good good hits versus late hits. I hit tons of good good outs. I get baseball can be random but stage 3 seems extra out of whack.

Its one of the reasons i stopped playing this year. Im tired of mediocre players that know one will remember in two or three years, playing like legends, making incredible diving catches against legends, who cant hit common pitchers. Its rage-ful at times .

To be fair in the new stage 3 you're facing all the new TA cards not commons on the mound and at the plate as well as some other previous released diamonds like Felix, Rob Nen, and Dustin May.

And if you haven't faced the new Hershiser yet, I swear he's throwing a frisbee with his cutter. Lol.

I used to feel really comfortable only have like 5-7 runs going into showdown final boss. Now? Yea no thanks I gotta play it all the way out because you're facing really good pitchers.

Orel, Leiter, Lodolo, Burnett, Wood...this sucks lol

You happen to "roll" the Brewers yet? I just started dabbling with these and was curious. I'm going to guess it's Rollie....
