My degrom has got murdered in events so I don't believe in him for ranked. I've only seen nolan ryan once so far this year and it was BR...I hit him pretty well and I always get murdered by him so maybe he's not as nasty this year as normal
I saw Nolan once in BR and the weirdo who drafted him pulled him after 3 batters. I hit a lead off homer where I just locked into a spot and hit the fastball, so he would have probably wrecked me for a couple innings if I didn’t get lucky.

Pulled 2 chase packs today. Both were low diamonds. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but a comet pull would have finish live series for me. Now I’m sure I won’t see another chase pack again.

So maybe I don't know baseball like I used to but I was trying to do the James Outman moment for April POTM, which was hit 1 extra base hit. I had two runners on first and second, I hit a ball into the gap in left field and scored 1 run, while the other runner made it to third. I got myself a double. However the game didn't count that as an extra base hit but as a single. Is this glitched or did the rules change? This actually been happening a lot on XBH moments.

After 6 tries finally got the moment done by hitting a home run.

It's a scoring decision. If you advanced to 2nd on the throw to 3rd (or to the plate), that is scored as a single.

It's impossible to judge without a video of the specific instance. All I can say is that I have not seen an instance where I felt that I was credited for a single when it should have been a double.

Up to 17-0 in ranked... Pitched with Pedro and Nolan ryan

My ryan opponent didn't seem great but there was Def lag. Didn't feel very confident pitching with Ryan since he doesn't have any horizontal pitch. I only threw him 5 but he did have a shutout thru 5. Was able to use kimbrel and he wasn't bad.

Only won 1-0 and he used relievers the whole game. I had 3 perfects and a couple mashed balls that didn't get results so I feel I should have been up 5-0 or something.

Pedro I think was dominant but ryan I bought for 170k...dont think he's worth that. I was tired of waiting so I paid abiut 10k more than what he was going for

            Rotation right now

            Ryan
            May
            Sasaki
            Pedro
            Gibson

Will prob replace may with Verlander when I get him and not far from randy... I'll prob sell ryan when I get randy I guess. Maybe I'll try pitching with Ryan one more time but it's scary

Anyone around that wants to try and get some ranked co-op in today? I can play for a few hours today and warming up on some CPU legend games right now.

Yeah the throw went to 3rd. It makes sense, it a scoring decision. Just frustrating.

Re: What Are You Working On? - MLB The Show 23 Edition

                  Finally new content tomorrow, lol.

Got the non sellable World Series pack, took Stan The Man! No Nolan for me because of how I pitch. I stink, I use analog, and guys like Nolan's control on analog is brutal. My pitchers have to have over 100 BB/9 and over 90 control, when they have those combined I spot pitchers wherever I want "most" of the time. It gives the analog pitching a "tightness" and able to go down and back up perfectly for my old thumbs.

Also, Stan The Man goes perfect with my "Vision" team. Gary Carter and Chipper lowest on team at 105 and 111. Everyone else 118 to 125. This has helped my grind up the Ranked ladder (29-5) to get to a 763 rating. I want to take a serious run at the World Series, but games taking 50 mins to an hour are brutal.

                  Lineup below!

Pitchers I use (forgot a pic). I mix and match with these guys, but Maddox, Gibson, Blackburn, and Doc have been work horses. I also have Randy, Roki, Seaver and Kershaw, but not a fan of how they feel for how I pitch bc of their attributes.

                  Gibson p5
                  Fergie p2
                  Blackburn p5
                  Webb p2
                  Wainwright p2
                  Lee p1
                  Maddox p5
                  Pedro p4
                  Doc p5

Finished BR for the 20 packs today. Went pretty smooth. My last BR card I needed for PXP was that bronze Kinsler, which was the worst card I’ve ever played with. I was under .100 with him. I resorted to trying to bunt cheese with him if nobody was on and I faced a RHP.

Didn’t really get anything of use in my packs. I sold Harper a few days ago because his price just seemed too high to pass up. Also cleaned my binder out a bit. I’m about 125K away from completing live series and I think there’s still some inflation there from the stub sale. Might try to flip a bit tonight but I just haven’t found it as easy as last year.

I really need to focus on TA a bit. I think that’s going to be my offline grind until BR resets. Events continue to be terrible so I don’t think I’m going to touch them.

I hit good with Kinsler... I find that so weird that some people are good with cards and not with others.

I give up a hr to jram or lindor like everytime... Seager too... Every year. And every year I hit like 100 wiht all three.

Every single Escobar or Polanco card I hit like 600 with and attributes don't even matter

Put a buy order in for Stan musial. I'll prob use him as dh and Ortiz to the bench

Bt buying Stan and Nolan ryan I'm down to 3k stubs lol but that's fine

Team will look much different when set 3 starts as many of my main pieces are set 1

Judge being the potm likely won't make my team so I'll prob go back to conquest mini season team affinity grind after I get Verlander.... Need like 3 points or something.

Will try to multi-task Lal these offline missions but now that my online hitting is good again it'll prob butcher that

I'm still enjoying the game but the "newness" is starting to wear off a bit as it's just a lot of stuff to grind... Alot of the times I feel like im working more than playing

Maybe there’s going to be a few more elite Set 2 cards, but it seems like most of the best cards are Set 1 still. I guess we still have another batch of ranked and BR rewards. Also should be a new chase pack. Going to be hard to top Mantle. I’ve used him a bunch in BR, and he’s probably my favorite card because I value CF defense more than anything.

Sold some more stuff, grinding a few more programs and I’m now 37k away from completing live series at todays market prices. Hoping the stub sale ending gets me to the finish line.

For me that's part of what makes this so cool. There's different configurations with different players that fit pretty much any budget (money or time) that any player could have.

It's different having so many usable versions of cards but it's like a weird cool different.

I'm sure we'll get another Chipper/Pedro/Babe and others at some point so that they can be used during each rotation. It really does feel like Magic the Gathering and building decks with new cards that come out
