Played mediocre in the event this morning. Can't seem to get the swing down for Jeter or chipper and I have them batting 1 and 3

Dont think I'm even gonna try team affinity 3 just get what I get organically. Plan to play events and ranked (prob co-op) atleast until season 3

The motivation is waning for me, too, only because I have all 6 of the bosses (via XP and Collection). I'm approaching 300 collected cards, so it would be nice to layer in some packs or more 99s to make the next 3 weeks less of a drag.

The only card I really want is Gibson, or maybe the increasingly expensive Adley card that I would wildcard. Might Mauer / Gibson is a great platoon.

I'm still running posada as a wild card on both my God squad and switch hitting team

I was playing the event for fun... Like I don't care about ta3 at all and same with collections. There really aren't any new cards I care much about except Bernie and I'm not going out of my way to get him.

I'm actually fairly happy just working on parallels in this event with cards I like.

But yeah when I play nhl 24 franchise it's just fun and it's not any type of work... I feel like the show feels like work 9 times out of 10.

Oddly enough I joined a nhl 24 Facebook group and most of them all seem to hate their diamond dynasty equivalent this year too. I'm no good at nhl so I haven't even looked at the online stuff, I'd probably get annihilated

A shame this **** restarts again in a couple weeks

I really don't know how it's possible that they abandon seasons this current game cycle and then invent some way to keep us playing.

All this ta3 stuff including packs is essentially 99s we've gotten before that hardly anyone uses. I feel like I'm just waiting on finest.

I try to brainstorm a course correction they could take and I can't even think of one so it's rough position those sds people are in

The verbiage in their content article really hammered home how Ernie Banks is a Core card. They could give us more Wild Cards but they rarely truly pivot from their strategy. It'll be interesting to see.

I feel like I'll end up on 2K after this season ends.

But if they let us keep all our cards and continue giving us Matt cain and Ethan Salas... Then what's the point of playing cause nothing improves the team.

The s2 99s Def seem more juiced than the s1 99s. They'll be making s3 99s like 125 everythjng lol

Its just the layout of this year it's going to be hard for them to not make us feel cheated out of the work we've already done by starting over yet again but also giving us incentive to still play and improve our teams.

I really hope they go back to something closer to the 9 inning program next year.

I think it's telling, and somewhat damning of the program design, that we're all talking about our fears for the season that starts in 2-3 weeks rather than the great content they put out recently. It shows the real design flaw, and also the ups and downs of the experience that we're all 100+ hours into.

The power creep in the 99s from season to season seems in line with last year. Those WBC 99s were way underpowered compared to the Finest 99s that came out at the end. I think Chipper was the only S1 that was end game level.

It’s like people are fixated on the number on the front of the card, but the general progression of the 99s over time still seemed present in 23.

Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to settle on my offline God Squad, mostly for the Career Achievement MS. The position players seem pretty consistent, anyway. Pitching is very different from the studly action figures like Max and Oswalt, plus I’m still using CC from S1. Those listed below are HOF series unless otherwise indicated.

OF - Griffey Jr, Mays, ASG Soto
IF - Chipper, Rollins, SA Lindor, Helton
C - Awards Rutchman
DH - Awards Albies

I hate picking between Ruth or Soto in RF as a Red Sox fan, but I just mash with Soto. Rutchman is also just amazing for me, it’s not an anti-NYY thing for me to skip Posada. And that leaves DH as my controversial pick - there’s no objectively correct reason to use Albies here. However, I suck with tall hitters like Frank Thomas and Judge, and a midget switch-hitting MIF is pretty awesome. I suspect playing in full MLB size parks will eventually push me back to Lightning Mookie or maybe Babe Ruth instead, but in the MS away parks (Lima, Whales Park, or Seoul) or my Costco HQ home park, Albies is a stud. I also want to use HOF Beltre after the HOF series mission in the Career Achievement MS, because that no doubt HR animation is easily my favorite.

I don’t get super excited about the SPs or RPs, because aside from LHP RP, there’s a giant pile of roughly equivalent options between S1 and S2 at this point. Gossage and Milestone Wagner are the top two, and ASG Scott as the second LHP in the pen are the main constants.

Well i finally finished the XP path and TA3 along with all th other programs so I'm hoping this program tomorrow has some good cards but without being able to get online and play i really have no reason to keep playing as much . i need them to fix the issue with T-mobile internet badly.

I'm trying to get him to P5 but either hitters overmatch him or people just seen him alot now.

I'm playing pretty bad today, kind've annoying but haven't been playing regular so I'll say that's it

Pitching good with loup, Suarez, ottavino, and the braves lefty from s1 but randy getting lit up

What are you doing offline to keep going etc?

Going back and forth between the Career Achievement MS and grinding out the RTTS archetypes when there aren’t any program items to complete.

I really, REALLY dig the Career MS due to the combination of S1 and S2 cards I can use for the various missions, and then for my top squad once missions are completed.

And now…I think this Troy Percival moment is going to break me. I want Yordan, but you can’t complete the Moments of Glory program without finishing every moment, and this one is truly brutal. He just paints against me, and his speed differential is truly impressive, Gagne-style.
