I really want new player models and more colors to chose from with batting gloves, gloves and cleats. This game would look so much better with those additions.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
This one still gets me with ASB2k5. Rain starts and the crack of thunder in the background.
Wanna see some storm clouds come in, wanna see dusk with the sun setting behind some low lying clouds.
(note: having played the game today, the view from behind the pitcher is really good. Great interaction with the ump, catcher, some great animations by the ump on strikeouts. Those squats don't help, but the game, I think, looks pretty good.)
Scott, I'm really expecting new player models for some reason. The faces are great, now next gen the bodies. I wanna see a really obese Dimitri Young.Comment

Re: ASB 2005 @ Knight
It's simply inexcusable with technology advancing at least ten-fold since ASB 2004/2005, why baseball sim developers cannot or will not include REAL weather issues....
I agree wholeheartedly.
I popped ASB2005 in yesterday. Besides being shocked at the graphics looking pretty bad(but when I first played that game...I thought they were amazing!)......the atmoshpere of certain aspects of the game STILL made me shake my head in amazment.
My pitcher got on on a bad throw .....and put his warmup jacket on.
I could see the players breath in the cold air.
The stadium had the red, white and blue bunting hung up for opening day.
I WAS PLAYING IN EBBETS FIELD!!!!(I did an expansion draft and started the Brooklyn Green Sox).
I went to send a player down....and got the message that he was out of options and must clear waivers.
The ticker popping up every couple of innings with scores and pitching lines/homeruns makes me want to play this game just for that. I know I'm a broken record on this one....but I still remember a franchise I had going when I was playing the game regularly and was down by one game to the Braves...on the last day of the season. They had the lead of their game and I was winning mine. I couldn't wait for the ticker to pop up to see if their opponent went ahead.....when they did...I was jumping around like the lunatic that I am!
I think I beat them in a one game playoff(or the game picked my team because of better head to head?)...I can't remember...I just remember making the playoffs.
Now to be fair.....playing again....the game was fairly horrible outside of MoM where you could forgive a lot of funky animations and gameplay......the editor was terrible because of it's limitations(you can't change a players handedness or position....at least SCEA got ONE of these right).....there was no way to move players around outside of franchise mode(SCEA did fix that one
)....but I still say that was one heck of a game....and other games could do well to implement certain aspects of it.

Jim,
I remember several months ago Kolbe mentioned that SCEA's artists were acing at the bit to get their new player models in the game, and they will be included in MLB 09'....

The option ASB had that I like was instant offers on trades. If you put someone on the block you got offers right away. I know it's not as realistic but it makes it nice if you are trying to trade a player.Comment

Wouldn't a BP or Warmup feature be cool? I don't know what it would give you, but im posting it on here so we can all think of ideas!Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
MLB 06 was the last version were the zone hitting felt right. The hitting system is kind of weird now, I dont even know that I would call it zone hitting anymore.Comment
