Homerun came from pitcher/outfield pitching view...no camera cut...just watching the hitter..then cut to ball flight

One thing that is cool in MLB2k8 is Fan Cam. At random times they show the fans on the Jumbo Tron.

This happens at real games all the time and needs to be in MLB 09 The Show! How cool would it be to see a team Mascot playing with the fans on the Jumbo Tron

And for night games there needs to be more flash to the parks. Maybe lights from buildings in the backround. Show all kinds of cool things on the Jumbo Tron.

Also I know this has been talked about before but you really need to give MLB the show better TV broadcast style presentation. When a game is launching we should see and hear something like what 2k sports does. Pre game show with the hosts getting us ready for the game and also have a camera flyby showing the fans coming into the ball park starting from out in the parking lot You get the idea.

          Also fix the Flag animations.

MLB the show Flag animations look like they have frame rate issues or something. And they should blow the way the winds is blowing.

2K8 Baseball has much better Flag animations!

I absolutely hate the 2k8 intro and would skip it if I could. The presentation in The Show is wonderful. Can they add some new stuff, sure, but I'm not getting this.

Man, if they had an intro where they'd show a player warming up hours before the game...Talking about him.

That would be awesome! Make it a loading screen!

I never said I like MLB2k8. But it does have a few little things that Sony could borrow from!

Well, Mike, that's your opinion. I would think there are a ton of people and reviewers that disagree with you, but again it's an opinion.

was over on the other board and was shocked and awed by this post... this is exactly waht im looking for in athsmophere in a game... this was by Jerm21 andi borrowed it...

"-I want the crowd to go nutsss after a late inning/extra innings go ahead/walk off home run or hit or after a big strike out in pitching jams or ending the game.
-I want there to be a "Yankees Suck" chant at Fenway
-I want there to be standing ovations after a pitcher is taken out of the game or with 2 outs in the 9th inning, waiting for the last out.
-I want Opening Day to be new, with players running onto the field getting introduced, and whoever wins the world series the year before gets their rings. (for example; Philadelphia)
-I want more cut scenes, with player, fan, coach reactions after a call is made or a after a big hit/stolen base.
-I want fan attendence to be involved, like for the last place teams, there will be a lot of empty seats; when in BOS or NY it will most likely be a full house every game..
-More detail with the coaches, i think there was a post already put up about that.
-I want there to be standing ovations for a pitcher once he is taken out by the manager, or after getting a no hitter broken up.
-I want there to be those fans that are at a ballpark rooting for another team, giving high fives after their team puts a run on the board.
-I want the All Star Game to be more detailed. With player introduction running out onto the field from the dugout like opening day..and i want the all star game uniforms to be like they are now (team uniforms and hats. i think?) no NL or AL uniforms.
-I want a cut scene when you want to warm up a pitcher, and show him warming up in the bullpen.
-I want the POSTSEASON to be a complete change from the regular season. some stadiums have towels, Tampa Bay has cowbells, I want the fans to be louddd and crazyy after everything little happens (like a run scored, a strike out of a batter)
-I want there to be little press conferences from coach or player
-After winning a series CELEBRATIONS NEED TO BE BETTER AND LONGER. yeah after the divisional series, a lot of high fives, hugs, jumping up and down on the pitchers mound.
League championship, mobbing the field, some champagne "we're going to the world seriesssss!"
After winning the world series, I want the last out to be a cut scene, like position yourself to make a catch, or to make a ground ball then the game takes it from there, so that right when the out is made the player can react with his arms in the air, everyone jumps over the dugout fence, and mobs the mound. I want signs that say "We Believed" and then it cuts to the locker room with players jumping with champagne WITH championship hats and t shirts, spraying the drinks into the camera..some interviews with players that say "I'm so proud of all of these guys around me". going out on the field and spraying it onto the fans. then the mvp trophy and world series trophy.
-I want the post season fans to be the loudest you're audio could make it.
-This cut scene should be about 5 minutes long. I mean comeon we've played 162 games, it would be nice to sit back and watch all your hard work paying off with some celebration!

Now my all time wish for this baseball game would have to be..after winning a world series. i want there to be a celebration parade that goes throughout the city. Comeon, how sick would that be!"

isnt this what we are all looking for in our games???

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I'm really late to the party. I haven't read every single post so forgive me if one or all have been already mentioned.

-Add balks; If the pitcher doesn’t at least pause & set before throwing the ball. The USER can be very susceptible to this.
-Ability to pick jerseys in Franchise.
-Catcher tossing his mask aside when fielding/catching a ball.
-Shadows move across the field as the game goes on. Games that start in the evening turn to night, etc.
-Eliminate announcers knowing where the ball will land before you actually see it. For example, on close to the line foul balls, Vasgersian will immediately call that the ball will hook foul before it actually does, taking away from the suspense/uncertainty of the play.
-More replays of earlier plays in the game that include base hits, defensive plays, and edited strikeouts that run in succession. More angles when showing earlier home runs.
-Fix some Umpire lag when retrieving balls from his pouch.
-Better Umpire characteristics. More consistent. Currently, the umpires are all over the place and you just don't get a clear definition of his strike zone. The umpire for the most part, should have his own consistent zone throughout the game.
-Sometimes a pitcher’s stats won’t show up in the box score.
-When the ball deflects off of a player’s glove, it comes to a complete stop instead of rolling.
-Some camera angles follow a player as if the camera is on a track (like Hollywood). Camera views should be stationary and swivel.
-The tag-up indicator doesn’t stay up long enough.
-Inning ending force-outs take too long to develop and most times end up being too late to get the runner.
-Use real equipment from companies like Nike, Easton, Under Armor, etc.
                            - Longer home run cut-scenes. Show more shots of the crowd/ballpark, players running around the bases, players getting high-fives in the dugouts, etc.
-More in-depth comments about earlier plays in the game, players last at-bats, even about what players did the last game or the last time the current batter faced the current pitcher, etc.
-Include the people that sit on folding chairs that grab foul ground balls hit towards the stands.
-Have the crowd acknowledge a traded “fan favorite” when they visit their old team. For example, if Matt Holliday and the Oakland A’s play at Coors Field, the Denver crowd should applaud Matt’s plate appearances, especially the first.
-Include expanded rosters for spring training and September call-ups. We should have to cut & trim the roster during spring training and end up with a 25-man roster before the start of the season.
-Unless the tying/winning run scores, a player safe at first base shouldn’t pump his fists with joy if he just forced someone else out.
-Cut down the number of times the CPU will rob you of a home run. This should happen once or twice in a full season. They’ve probably robbed me 20-plus times already in my Franchise season.
-Ability to ask for time and step out when in the batter’s box.
-Add more promotional giveaway items and the ability to change & set the quantity faster in Franchise.
-Solution for when I want my infielder to dive for a grounder but instead the controls switch to my outfielder too quickly and he ends up diving which usually results into extra bases for the CPU.
-Better distinction for close plays when the ball hits the outfield wall or when the outfielder catches it. Sometimes I don’t know if the ball hit the wall first and advance my runners or if he caught it and to tag up.
-Ability to set custom music to play at certain times. Home runs, batter walk-ups, pitchers entering, etc.

                            Thanx!

I hope they fix the fatigue issue in MLB 09 The Show!

I start season with the Phillies and by the fifth game or so of the season, they recommend you sit Jimmy Rollins. This is crazy!
