Yep. However I believe "throw errors" are not only tied to that but ratings as well. I've thrown my share of balls away even when tapping the button. So I believe: Tap=Normal throw Hold= Harder throw and Errors are dictated mainly by ratings. (Probably calculated together with throw strength -Tap/hold)

yeah i dont know what the hell these guys are playing but all throws are not the same and im playing the throwing strength slider 4 clicks up.

i will say though that holding the button to power up ur throw takes to long to get anyone out except for Prince Fielder (lol). that little extra jump in the animation just kills it.

Yeah, I think if you display the meter you can really see how it works. Most people don't realize how responsive the throw buttons are... and that when you say "tap" it means "tap" as in a split-second press and release of the button. The pressure sensitivity actually works well. Also, (maybe good or bad depending on your intent) I like how you can actually make your throw "before" you field the ball. (unless I make a mistake and press a base while the ball is in the air, LOL.) I think that is realistic in terms of "if the ball is hit to me, what do I do?" - or as Matt V. says "when in doubt, talk it out" LOL

Like Skyboxer said, I think errors are partly dependent on rating, but attempting hard throws increases those chances as well.

Wonder if there'll be items/features for The Show '09 that some won't pick up on till March 2010?

The throwing with the meter was never "perfect." There were times where you'd tap it to do a soft toss and the player would rocket the ball over. The ANIMATION was slow but the actual throw speed was not consistent with the throwing motion.

Either way, we made out feelings known when we were there. I know I pulled some guys off to the side and spoke about it. If you're not happy with it in '09, at least they know how we feel about it.

The new Twins throwbacks look AMAZING. My favorite uni in the game. Easily. Twins got some major love this year. Even if it is the last year for their stadium...

There's plenty to be excited about. Every single one of us talked about going through withdrawals and how we can't go back to '08.

I won't touch upon too much because of the vast things the NDA covers. But as time goes on we'll be able to talk about different things.

The gameplay is what gets me so excited.. I'm more a between the lines kinda guy and the game certainly did not disappoint. At all.

One amazing play I had... 2 strikes in the close game that I lost in legend with first and third... still tried to force the bunt down b/c I needed to move the runners over with no outs. Down 3-2... pitch comes in and I make contact but the bunt runs down the first base line... barely goes over so Kotchman hits the ball with his bare hands, while it is foul, further into foul territory. It was incredible.
