Yep, wait until 3/3 when you get the real thing. Everybody is going to have to relearn the game all over again. That's why I only played the demo a few times.

Then it was smart of me to do that same thing.

Graphics are slightly more polished!

if you were satisfied with the gameplay last year....yes it could seem like ti was just a roster update....

but if you really really pay attention to the game's details, it's a BIGGER upgrade this year from 08 then it was 08 from 07.

since a dev already outlined the features, I will add one more for you...

the HITTING engine:

it is the best ever.

1) Opp field HRs are much tougher this year compared to pull HRs

2) with legend difficulty, contact, solid hits and timing at 0, you have a pure and true zone hitting where if you miss the pitch's location, you whiff. You miss a lot of it, foul ball...you get the idea. ( people hbated the fact that hitting was too easy, you will pull your hair out this year with adjusted sliders on legend against the santanas and hamels)

3) extra base hits down the line due to the new hit engine ( increased bat speed) and better OF routes

The hitting engine ALONE would have been enough for me personally to get this game.

Anyone have the problem if you have a guy on third base, he just auto steals home?? I think the guess pitch option might the reason.

You sure you are not hitting the "advance all" trigger by accident before you hit the "guess pitch" button?

I don't think so all I do is hit R2 then the analog stick to guess location.

08 was great, so why shouldn't 09 feel similar? Why fix what isn't broken? That's always a lame criticism, in my opinion. To completely rework the game just so that it feels *different* than 08 would be idiotic, and would completely reverse the very strong foundation they've built. There are alot of things "new" this year, as so many others have pointed out. If you can't see them for yourself, then I can't convince you of anything.

Those are my points I am making ..... Of course you don't change something completely just cuz it is the latest one .... BUT you do have to justify why you (DEVELOPERS) are asking for FULL PRICE!

They have to justify to you why the game is full price?!?? I don't think you will get what you're asking for...

Most likely they charge the price that they do because they feel the work they put into the game is worth it. If you want personal justification, you're going to have to get a copy of the game (rent it if you don't want to pay full price) and find that justification for yourself (or not). Enjoyment and "worth" of a product like a game is so subjective and personal that judging for yourself is the only way you'll get what you're asking for...

Besides, it's the best way to live up to your professed creedo.

Speaking of my "professed creedo" if you look at the vids you will notice I can form "UN-Biased" opinions even if I don't agree!
But yes I will try it for sure.

Heres the thing in the nut shell...... Picture this :

Let's say I bought a BMW last year (MLB 08) and it was red w/ black "FABRIC" interior sitting on say 18's and I paid 30,000 for it!

Then the following year I see the "SAME" model BMW (MLB 09) this one is "BLUE" w/ "Leather interior" sitting on 18's and it too is selling for 30,000, but both cars essentially PERFORM the same.

NOW.... My question to you is:

If you bought the "red" beemer (mlb 08) .... should you buy the the "blue" beemer (mlb 09) this year for the same price (30K)... if both are the essentially the same car?

09 is so much different than 08! That is all there is to say. They are like night and day from each other. If you can't see that then just stick with 08
