But yes I will try it for sure.

Heres the thing in the nut shell...... Picture this :

Let's say I bought a BMW last year (MLB 08) and it was red w/ black "FABRIC" interior sitting on say 18's and I paid 30,000 for it!

Then the following year I see the "SAME" model BMW (MLB 09) this one is "BLUE" w/ "Leather interior" sitting on 18's and it too is selling for 30,000, but both cars essentially PERFORM the same.

NOW.... My question to you is:

If you bought the "red" beemer (mlb 08) .... should you buy the the "blue" beemer (mlb 09) this year for the same price (30K)... if both are the essentially the same car?

    Y / N and why? (optional)

It'd be more like the blue one handles better, looks better and has less problems than the red one. And the blue one comes with red stitching in the leather.

All things relative , I would buy the red one.

this thread is becoming a "hey look at me, give me attention" thread more with every post by the OP.

Either its worth your money or it isn't. No devs justifying their price, just you determining if its worth your dollar. And yes, its really that simple.

Also, comparing a 50,000 car other another 50,000 car is a BIG STRETCH! Videos game usually get better the next year. Not all, but most. At least the sports games have. Also, it is only 60.00 not 50,000.

Well given his analogy, right now he's comparing a car model of '08 to the '09 version thats on the assembly line. (full version compared to demo)

Well, your asking me a question based on a premise/assumption that you have not proven and I personally don't agree with...

So, I guess my answer would be in the form of a few questions:

How do you know they are the same? Are you a BMW engineer, or are you basing this opinion on some ads you've seen?

I'm sure there are other threads you can be "wasting your time on" (is the assumption with your comment tone).

Remember, YOU CHOOSE to post repeatedly, I or anybody else are making you "GIVE ME ATTENTION" as you put it!

I never asked you to agree to anything!

And for the record most people are basing their decision that this WILL be a different game (just because it will bare the "09" text on the game) on the same information that I have too!
                  i.e.
                  Demo
                  Video/trailers
                  Previews
the post for the SCEA devs
                  etc.etc

So this is what I am basing "my opinions" on!

So the point is we shall see if it indeed this will ... Be worth $65 ($59.99 + tax CA, USA) when the full version comes out.

Oh, OK. Then based on the demo and the feature list for 09, my answer to your question is:

Yes, I believe the new features alone (not to mention bug fixes, AI improvements, and new rosters) justify spending $65.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

i can almost see this guy who originally posted this sitting up in a tree with a PETA shirt on, but he thats just me.. anyone who can't see the difference between 08 & 09 is just downright ridiculous.. Russell listed all the changes.. Before you post on here, do your research and you'll see that there was a community event where people from our community went and played the whole version of the game and posted their impressions. And let me quote Jim so he doesnt have to say it for the 10,000th time... "The final version is alot different than the demo" Thanks for listening guys, 6 more days...and we'll be in Show Heaven..haha sounds like a cult..get ur punch, black robes and adidas's ready......

Yes. The Red BMW (MLB08) has some flaws that might not affect everybody, but can be game breaking for others. The lack of hitting variety (The radio is only able to play 2 stations of country music and rap music), the lack of 40 man rosters (Poor handling so if you drive on ice you have to be VERY careful), the lack of playoff atmosphere (no air conditioning, so you have to "imagine" it being cooler), poor lineup decisions by computer managers (like having brakes that work 75% of the time while in 6th gear. May not affect everyone, but for those it does it can be very serious), progression of light and shadows during games not being there (having your high beams not work), batting stances/pitching motions being wrong (8 gallon gas tank), no short throws to second base for the final out (making right hand turns at greater than 10 mph is not possible), etc. etc.

While for some this may not be a "big deal" because of how they drive, MLB09 (The blue BMW) has corrected these faults thereby making the car much better. We know of this because we've had the creators and designers of the car (SCEA Devs) give us the specifics and we've had our own crowd here test drive the car for us (Community Day).

So yes, I will go and buy the Blue BMW this year.
