I haven't touched sliders, nor do I intend to, unless its the injury slider. I've played quite a few games and I have to tell you this game is extremely balanced in my opinion.

I think the issue is that people go into a game expecting to see x amount of walks, x amount of doubles, x amount of x, y, z. I'm not saying this is wrong, but just how it is seemingly.

I think you just have to play the game and let things happen.

That's how I was at the beginning, but then when I tweaked one little thing, something else needed to be tweaked.

For instance, the first thing I wanted was to tweak pitches so I could determine balls from strikes a little better (and 3 seems to be realistic in terms of time it takes to get to the plate). But in doing so, I was making a little too much contact, so I lowered the contact slider. But then I noticed I wasn't getting enough decent hits off the corners of the plate, so I raised solid hits. Then I realized there were too many hits too early in the count, so I raised the foul ball slider and lowered the strike frequency slider. I noticed my shots in the gap were getting cut off too quickly, so I did a combination of slider changes with run speed, reaction time, and throwing velocity. And so on and so forth.

Eventually, I came out with having to change a lot of things. That's just the way it seems to happen with me.

Last night in my next to last game before I beleive I'll be starting my franchise I was up 5-1 vs the Diamonbacks (I was NYY).
Webb vs Burnett.
Webb was pulled after 5+ and Burnett lasted 6+
In the top of the 7th Arizona plated 3 to make the score 6-4 NY.
NY didn't respond and in the top of the 8th Arizona struck for 2 more to take a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the 8th.
I was thoroughly PO'ed that I held them in check most of the game and in 2 innings all that work (Yeah on legend it's fun but you have to concentrate for 9 innings) was thrown out the window.
So in the bottom of the 8th I knew we had to respond somehow for my own peace of mind about the sudden crash of our effort.
Well we responded by plating 5 in the bottom of the 8th and easing my mind a bit.
(After taking a 7-6 lead I got Rivera up)

Rivera came in for the 9th and went 1-2-3 and we won. This was th first game so far where both teams were able to put up some higher numbers as most have been 2-1 or 4-2 type ball games. After a tad more playing I think I'll be starting my Franchise...

Gotta second, third, and fourth the opinion on Legend Mode. I am not usually the guy who plays at the hardest level, but this is quite a challenge that makes me concentrate. I starting my Yankees franchise and am 1-1. First game, CC vs. Guthrie...pitcher's duel. I win 1-0 on a Brett Gardner solo homerun that hit the top of the scoreboard and bounced out.

Second game--Wang vs. Hill...I get blown out 11-3. Wang was awful--I do have trouble with his pauses in his motion--walks, gave up 2 jacks...then the bullpen gave up another 3.

I was a bit underwhelmed last year, but this game is definitely the only game for me. I may even skip football season this year.

Option years are in! If you send down a young kid during a season it asks you it you want to burn an option year. You can't even sound down veterans! Great news!
