I had this problem once. What I did was go in an edit my player. I think it was the pants or something like that. Then it started working again.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
so im a SP in AA . im 3-0 with a 0.27 ERA.
for some reason when the batter gets a hit of me and the outfielders think they can field so the dive and it goes to the wall. a single becomes a triple and it recorded as a hit not an error. next,my infielders are just as bad my third baseman should dive at the balls coming to him instead he just leaves it alone when a dive could have been an out now its a double. Do your infielders and outfielders get better as you move to AAA and the the major leagues??? And lastly i have given up 2 hits in 7 2/3 in a game with 9 k and no runs ive only used around 65-80 pitches my stamina is a little under half. the next batter gets a hit and boom the manager comes in and says that's enough i mean i could have had a complete game or at least at VERY least let me get one more out. i tired to go to the manger interactions and tell him i think he should have put me in a little longer. but all he says is i stand behind my decision, or ull miss ur next start. is there anyway to stop this

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I need some help with my RTTS
I play 3B for the Astros, only played 5 games in AA then got promoted to AAA, stayed there for the rest of that season and have been starting at 3rd for the Astros since, currently in my third season.
I play on Veteran and am looking for realistic sliders, I currently play on contact 10, Power 10, solid Hits 10 and Timing 10. I've tried taking the contact down to 5 but all I do is pop out or hit into DP's.
My Current career numbers are something like 700+ ABs .309AVG 24Hrs 105 RBI, but now my contact is going up all I hit are hard singles and nothing else. I want sliders where I'm hitting .300+Avg 20+HRs and 100+RBI and 40+ walks
Any Help will be appreciated.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I got a quick question about my RTTS career. I am in my third year at the all star break and I just got my first call to the bigs because of an injury. While I was up I hit like .390 with 9 hr and 20 rbi and I was the starting SS. then I got sent back down to free up space on the roster. Three days later i was told I was moving back up. After a week they sent me back down again to free up space on the roster. When I moved up that time I was already the starting SS. Played a few more games at AAA and got called back up to be the starting SS for the MLB. Played a week at MLB still batting like .396 and get sent back down for the third time to make room on the roster. Anyone ever get sent up and down like this. I am the starting SS in AAA and MLB and have not been demoted for performance but to make room on the roster for other players. Its just getting a little old.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Just finished 2010 in AAA for the Astros. Didn't get called up but had a good year.
My stats for the year on veteran
317 AVG
140 H
47 R
23 2B
1 3B
12 HR
52 RBI
1 SB
18 BB
85 K
351 OBP
My AA stats were much better but i wasn't playing on veteran. If I get called up, I'll play on all star. If not I guess I'll make a decision later.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Good News, I just made the majors, I'm in the Show. I simmed spring training and I got 900 points, and now currently playing for the Astros. I'm right now playing the Brewers on Opening Day. The thing that surprised me is that they got rid of Berkman. My overall is a B and I hit for contact not power. I could get 150 hits but only have 10 homeruns. I guess they wanted to save money. This game rocks.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Update on this: I was on the verge of trading this game in, but before I did i went back and looked at some of my old saves, and I had one in the middle of the AAA playoffs. I played through them and then advanced to the offseason. I didn't get traded this time. I think the game made the decision to trade me after I advanced to the offseason since I SIMed about 10 times and got traded everysingle time to the same team. From now on I will have a standby save before key events, i.e. spring training, regular season, trade deadline, playoffs, offseason, that way if the game decides to trade me I can redo it. I hope I can get a no trade in my next contract, so I don't have to worry about it, but i'm not sure how that works. at any rate, hope the information is helpful to anyone wanting to play for thier favorite team, or for someone who got a bum trade.I posted about a week ago asking about if anyone knew how the trade system, more specifically how to work around it.
Here's the story:
I started playing RTTS a little while ago, and I made a starting pitcher. Instead of being drafted I selected my favorite team, the White Sox. I went through spring training, pitched well, and signed a minor league contract for 3 years with a club option. I went down to AA and pretty much dominated, sub 1 ERA 100+ strikeouts, lead the league in several catagories including WHIP and IP. Oddly enough i didn't get a spring training invite, but instead started the year in AAA. I did pretty well there, 1.50ish ERA, 150 stikeouts, and i still lead the league in things like WHIP and IP. So I figure I'm going up to the majors with the Sox next year. Wrong, traded to the Mariners (for a SP no less!). I was hoping this was just a bad SIM so I restarted my PS3, and low and behold I was traded again. I tried doing several different things, like selecting "Let the club know you'd like to stay" option in the interactions menu, but no matter what i did i kept getting traded to the Mariners. I played through the Mariners Spring Training, but I hated it. I don't know why its not fun if I'm not pitching for the Sox but its not. I was on the last year of a three year contract, so I figure I'll just SIM this final season and then sign back with the Sox at the end of the year. I tried this, but ended up going back to my last save cause the game gets pretty peaved if you ignore the advancement goals. Instead, i went through and SIMed to right before my advancement period came to an end, hit my tagets and repeated the process. This was ok, I ended the year 14 and 10 with a low 3 ERA, but i was barely getting enough points to hit my goals much less improve in the areas I wanted to improve on. I get offered a contract from the Mariners but I ignore it becuase I don't want to play for them. And of course they pick up the club option. Now I'm in a bind...I don't want to go through the SIM crap that i did the previous season. For one thing it doesn't give me the points i'll need to really max my pitcher out, and its just not fun. So i figure I'll play this season if there's a good shot that at the end of it I can sign with the Sox, but I don't really want to waste my time if they are just going to let me get a contract from the Mariners or some crap like that. If anyone knows how that process works, I'd appreciate the info. My options are to finish up this season, start over with a new pitcher, or just quit playing the game, the last of which i may do if there is no way to control what team I play for as i'm not interested in playing for different teams. It seems like there should be something that you can do, if not then why give you the chance to choose your team in the first place?Comment
