Two times now my RTTS pitcher has been selected to the All Star game (AA and AAA) and it asks me if I want to stop simming. I click yes but how do I actually get to play the game? Both times I have selected to sim to next appearance and I am at my next regular start.

I would assume the manager did not put you in the game. I have played in the AS game.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
this happened to me heres what you do.
after you get the notification that you have made the allstar team, stop simming. now put your highlight on the day off BEFORE the all star game and sim to next appearance, it should sim to your appearance in the game. Im almost positive thats how I did it.Comment

That is what I did but it still simmed past the game. So maybe I didn't get in the game. I thought that with the AA All Star game, but didn't really think I wouldn't get in the game two years in a row.this happened to me heres what you do.

Also has the RTTS bug been fixed? I don't see anyone posting about it.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
ok try this, after it tells you that you made the allstar team put the highlight on the last game you played and sim to date, after that sim to next appearance, if that dont work its possible you didnt get in the game. I just remember the first time I did it it simmed past the game and I had to back out and try it again.Comment

You should have kept playing and have skipped that batting session instead of resetting. I ran into this one and it only affected two batting sessions, but corrected itself later.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Finished my 1st year yesterday in AA Brewers organization. And thank goodness, I was hitting .290 a week before the All Star game when I hit my first homerun. After that, everything went pearshaped for me and my team. We were leading up untill that point, ended the season dead last and my slump got so worse it was pathetic. I ended up hitting .245. I was in such a bad slump even my batting practice sessions was patheticly dysmal crap.
To my surprise one of the CF fielders in the organization retired in offseason, and I started my second season in AAA. So far so good, as I'm hitting .444 with 3 SB, 4 RBI's after about 5 games as a utility player for the "Sound".San Francisco 49ers

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Just got screwed in 5th season of RTTS. After my 3rd and 4th season consisted of a combination of AAA and MLB and pretty good success, I was named starter at beginning of 5th season. Was doing awesome through June. At the end of the June I was hitting 370, near the top of the league in BA, also had 17 HR's and 57 RBI's. I was, however, on rookie difficulty and simmed some games. I also was completing most of my advancement goals. At the beginning of July I was optioned to AAA, because of a player returning from the DL. Pretty unfortunate considering the success I was having that season. Anyone else see anything like this?Comment

your stats doesn't have an influence whether you will start or where you rank in the organization, your attributes and advancement goal completion rate determines if you will be picked for MLB, AAA or AA.Just got screwed in 5th season of RTTS. R9NALD9 is correct. Your stats have 0 bearing on whether you advance or not. Anyone who tells you otherwise is incorrect. It is solely based on your attributes (heavily based on Overall) and whether you achieve the advancement goals. Achieving be goals won't necessarily help you advance, but failing them is an easy way to get demoted.Comment

I wish they would make the goals better - I mean, I'm in my 3rd season with a SS and I would say at least 3/4 of my goals have been fielding related. I usually get 1 a season it seems related to hitting which is kind of unrealistic.R9NALD9 is correct. Your stats have 0 bearing on whether you advance or not. I put my SS on hold because I don't want to encounter the crash bug when I make the major and started a SP (in the Jays organization) and all of my goals have been fielding and bunting which makes it hard to allocate points into my pitches.
Anyway, I hope for next year they make advancement at least partially based on quality of play and that they make the monthly goals more varied.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm so excited! In my third season, I was called up to The Show as a utility player for the Yankees. One month into the season, I've been named starting CF! I managed to hit my first home run during a home game against the Twins (off Liriano).Comment
