    Re: PSP Version Impressions

I'm so glad to hear that Legend mode is challenging for hitting.

Still begs the question, why is "Legend" mode the fair level. Shouldn't all games have an easy level, a normal level, a hard level, and a super hard level. You shouldn't have to play on the hardest level just to get a fair game. After that then, there's no challenge.

I just don't know why they don't make the "hard" level from last year the easy level, make legend the moderate level, and add an even harder level.

But then again, I'm just speculating. Maybe they jacked up the difficulty on the hard level (the one below legend) this year too?

I only played a few games so far so I will have some more thoughts later.

Sucks though there is still no franchise or Fantasy Draft, but they improved season mode.

BTW I wish the payroll was a little more balanced. I simed a season as the Mets and had so much money to spend I got like Webb and another frontline starter. Plus had money to spare.

Also does anyone know why teams show great players available on the trading block? example: Redsox had Lester available.

And I also didn't like how no teams went after to pick up any FA during the season. example: Manny was avalailbe the entire year.
I always thought you could play 10 seasons.

Well had a chance to fool around with it today at work...
AWESOME! the sounds worked great, the editor once use to is easy(wish scrolling was a tad smoother to make the marks)
smooth, stadiums look better than I thought they would.
On and on...can't wait to get Knight rosters fill up the league with sounds and chants/cheers/jeers, make my own 30 team HR sounds. etc

Love it!, Thanks so much SECA DEVS.

Could someone with the PSP version please do me a favor?

Check to see if you get the "ping" sound effect when you guess correctly the type of pitch on the default guess pitch setting. I'm not getting any feedback, even when I guess correctly. Weird.

I know I've posted this before but haven't yet gotten any response....

          Thanks,

I don't think there is a noise. But it will light up red when you guess correctly.

Does anyone know if you can sign players on your team to a longer contract (like last years version) if their final contract year is not up yet?

I had a guy with a 2 year deal and couldn't figure out how to try and sign him to a new deal.

Can you share season mode and RTTS with the PS2 version?

I still play a ton of 08 on PSP and just got 09 for PS2. Not sure if I'll get 09 for PSP but if you can share season/RTTS, then it makes it a must-buy.

It lights up red when you guess location. There should be a "ping" when you guess the pitch type. Its always been there in previous versions and is still there in this year's PS3 version.

Where exactly is the option for custom chants/cheers/jeers cuz I Have NOT seen it anywhere... All I see are the options for walkup music, home run music , relief music and that's it..Don't see anything for chants and whatnot....

It matters because hearing the ping is the only way you know that you guessed the correct type of pitch. The screen only lights up red when you have guess the correct location...it has nothing to do with pitch type.

In other words, you could be using the guess pitch feature to only guess pitch type. Given that there is not a sound effect in the PSP version, you will NEVER get any sort of feedback indicating that you guessed correctly.

This has to be some sort of bug. Its worked fine in previous editions and works fine in the PS3 version. It seems we finally have a version where we can use guess pitch without the game becoming a "hit fest." As such, I wish the feature worked properly in the PSP version.

Not a big deal. I had to stop using the guess pitch feature last year anyways just to cut my hit total down to the 20 range. I got used to not having it on and I like it better that way.

Then again, if legend mode hitting is REALLY difficult, I may change my mind on guess pitch.

I don't remeber the ping thing in PSP ever being there but I do remember a tringle turning red when you gussed the location in last years game. I hope that is still there.
