Same thing happened to me, but I played the September 14th game and it crashes siming past the 15th 2009. What a crock. I just have this feeling they may fix it, but we will have to start over our Rtts player. Such frustration, to put in time and effort for it to be wiped away with a stupid bug.

I've had RTTS freeze on me a few times but nothing major. Plus, we're playing with preliminary rosters anyway. I knew when I started that as soon as opening day rosters came out, I'd be starting over...

so after the different remarks i still dont understand whether the game crashed by playing the 14. or by simming it.

should we play the 13 and the 14 or play the 13. and the sim to 15. or one week or what.

Going by memory, I'm about 90% sure that the 14th was played and it shuts down when trying to simulate the rest of the games on the 14th through to the 15th. There is no hesitation though, it's an instant black screen and the PS restarts.

I'm in 2012 with no problems right now. I had problems loading the game the other day but I was able to get it working just fine. No problems with RTTS though.

Are you using the default roster or did you download the one from SCEA? I'm just curious as to why this is happening to some of us, but not others.

The lack of responses by some that are pass this point in there RTTS careers makes me think we downloaded something and that's screwing everythin up? I don't know what else it could be.

I can't remember the date mine did it, but I tried everything to get through it. Everytime I tried to get past that game, it would reset immediately. Sucks.

The same thing happend to me but i had a few files saved and loaded a differant one and got by that year but it did it again the next year around the same date in sept and did the same thing again have net had problems year after yet

I have at RTTS career that keeps crashing. I was in AA, then a September call up of the Angels. I was used as a pinch hitter on September 23, 2009. Upon trying to sim to my next appearance the game crashes, and the PS3 restarts. There is no game scheduled for 9/24. I have tried simming past the date and simming the rest of the season, but the crash occurs at all attempts.

I double-checked and it is on the 14th that the game crashes.

Hey all, signed up just to post about this after reading this thread. I am using a first edition 60 gig ps3 and was on the AA Cubs, and was in my 2nd year, so I tried simming ahead past the 14th of September. During this time I was traded to the Pirates, then subsequently traded to the AAA Indians team.

I'm pretty sure that because of these trades, my player did not have a game on the 14th, and it continued to sim just fine. I even went into August to make sure, and it still worked fine.

What teams/ps3 version are people using that are having the problem, and does your player have a game on September 14th?

Another thing that I did that I will recommend to everyone just in case. Back up your save files onto an external drive, so that if the one on your system gets corrupted, you have another!!! I can't imagine the rage I would feel if I lost all the hard work I'd put into my player. Hope any of this was helpful, and hope you're all able to get around this terrible glitch.

There were no trades when mine happened. It's simple what happens: You click "sim to next experience" and the screen goes pitch black and your PS3 restarts. There is no simming ahead. You can't get past that date no matter what. It will simply restart. It sucks.

The fact that it's only happening to a couple of us is what baffles me. A number of people have made it past the second year if you look at the RTTS thread. I'd really like to know before I go through all the work to create a new RTTS guy.

I simmed all the way through the first season and I'm working through season 2 at AAA. I didn't make the 40 man roster so I'll have to work my can off to even get a shot at the majors (although it is Pittsburgh ).

I attempted the sim option all the way through but the player's attributes were dropping off the face of the earth.

Well, you could sim it and not save just to see if you make it past that date
