80 GB original roster patched version. Simmed up too 2012 no issues, but I cant make it to the 40 man roster simming, so my seasons end on sept 7.

has anyone found a way to get around the issue of your road to the show not locking you out, but simply not advancing past a certain date? I'm in my first season in the middle of May. i finished a game and attemped to sim through to my next appearance, and the game doesn't respond. i can back out with Circle, but no amount of tinkering lets me through to the next game. I can run all of the 'Interactions' with my manager, and still nothing. Not sure what to do other than use a previous save. any ideas?

Looks like a lot of game saves are going to be needed for RTTS. Oh well, got in the habit of numerous saves with fallout 3.

Ok I have this bug as well...and it is pissing me off....................

I am the Ace SP for the Pirates and have not simmed any games. I have played them all and gotten a no-hitter (which took me forever). I have read that several people have been having issues with the date Sept. 14, 2010......My crash to the xmb screen occurs on Sept. 16, 2011. The game on that date actually sims (since im not pitching) and then immediately the game crashes. I have tried all sorts of stuff but nothing seems to work. WE NEED A PATCH FOR THIS!!!!!!! I am so demoralized by this glitch that I don't even want to play the game anymore. I won't be playing it again until a patch for this is addressed. I played too many games to go back and start a new rtts. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! time to play NHL 09

Joined this forum for exactly this problem.

Mine crashed on September 18 in the 2013 season.

I never got the September call up like others so that wasnt the reason, nor did I download the rosters. RTTS is really the only mode I play on because the games and seasons go by so quickly it keeps me interested.

I really hope they fixed this because I just dont have the motivation to start over just to have it happen to me again.

I don't have this problem yet, but I am really concerned because I imported the game (I live in Germany) and I really love the RTTS Mode. An idea that comes to my mind are the minor league playoffs which should be at the middle of september, aren't they?
Did you guys try to sim them instead of simming in the mlb schedule screen? Just an idea...

Maybe you guys should look for similarities in your RTTS Modes in order to locate the problem?
I mean there must be a reason that some (in my opinion very few) Players have this problem and some just keep on playing without a problem.
If we can track down the problem, it is more likely that Sony will find a solution for this.

Here are a couple of questions that come to my mind:
1. What position do you play?
2. Which teams are you on?
3. What is the exact date of the crash and would you have a game on this day (most of you already mentioned that)
4. Are you in AA/AAA/MLB
5. Which PS3 version do you have
6. Which roster are you using?
7. Did you download the 1.01 update for the game?
8. What did you try to get past that date (sim to next appearence, sim to date, sim season) and how many times did you try it? (Some guy mentioned that he got past it on the fourth try I think)

Maybe we should start with analysing these things and look for something that you have in common.

I just created a RTTS player and simmed through two seasons and everything was fine. This was just one instance that probably won't help much to narrow things down but...

- in '09 my AA team made the playoffs
- in '10 my AA team (possibly AAA) didn't make the playoffs
- never got called up to the the big club
- I created the RTTS AFTER the 1.01 update (possibly important)
--- maybe the update fixes the problem but not if you started you RTTS before the update
--- maybe the update causes the problem to RTTSs created before the update
- I used the March 9 online roster
- I have the 80gig BC PS3

Key questions:
- Has anyone encountered this problem with a RTTS post update with a RTTS created before the update? I'm pretty sure this is a big YES but the next 2 questions are key to finding out if the update affects RTTS
-- Has anyone encountered this problem before the update?
-- Has anyone encountered this problem with a RTTS post update with a RTTS that was created after the update?

This is a big issue, I was reading thru the posts hoping to find that someone from SCEA has posted something about this issue. I am planing on getting a PS3 and the show this week because I cant stand 2k9. One of the reasons is RTTS. I would be spending 400+ dollars just for 1 game so it better be worth it. If they have then I must have missed it. Lets keep this at the top and get some kind of explaination.

3. What is the exact date of the crash and would you have a game on this day (most of you already mentioned that) Sept 14, 2010
4. Are you in AA/AAA/MLB? Was in AAA but got called up to Majors a few days prior to the crash.
5. Which PS3 version do you have? 40 GB
6. Which roster are you using? March 3
7. Did you download the 1.01 update for the game? Yes
8. What did you try to get past that date (sim to next appearence, sim to date, sim season) and how many times did you try it? (Some guy mentioned that he got past it on the fourth try I think)? I tried all the above numerous times and no luck.

10. Did you start RTTS before the 1.01 patch? Yes

2. Which teams are you on? - Detroit Tigers Organization (I was in AAA Toledo when it happened)
3. What is the exact date of the crash and would you have a game on this day (most of you already mentioned that) - Not sure, but it was prior to September. I want to say it happened around August 20, 2010 or so.
4. Are you in AA/AAA/MLB - AAA at the time.
5. Which PS3 version do you have - 40 GB
6. Which roster are you using? - March 3
7. Did you download the 1.01 update for the game? - I did, but mine crashed before this came out.
8. What did you try to get past that date (sim to next appearence, sim to date, sim season) and how many times did you try it? (Some guy mentioned that he got past it on the fourth try I think), - I tried all three about 10 times total. F'n nightmare.

I haven't experienced this yet, but like previously stated, I simmed three seasons with my pitcher and one season with my Shortstop but could never reach the 40 man simming or make the minor playoffs. Still thought it might be helpful to complete the below list.

2. Which teams are you on? -KC Royals AAA/AA: Twins AA
3. What is the exact date of the crash and would you have a game on this day (most of you already mentioned that). N/A
4. Are you in AA/AAA/MLB - see #2

6. Which roster are you using? - Default or the one that still has Manny in Free Agency
7. Did you download the 1.01 update for the game? yes
8. What did you try to get past that date? N/A

I hadn't played this game before, but got unbelievably addicted to RTTS mode in the 08 version of this game. I was contemplating upgrading to 09, but this thread had paused me from doing so. I really appreciate you guys talking through all this...please keep doing so, for the sake of the rest of us if nothing else - hah.

3. What is the exact date of the crash and would you have a game on this day (most of you already mentioned that). April 18, 2009 - bullpen, so unsure if would play - that day's game never even starts
4. Are you in AA/AAA/MLB - AA
5. Which PS3 version do you have - 80 GB
6. Which roster are you using? - March 8th online
7. Did you download the 1.01 update for the game? yes - automatically
8. What did you do to try to get past that date? Sim to next appearance, sim season, restart/reset/retry, curse, throw controller, pray. All equally ineffective.
9. Were you on the 40-man roster? NO
10. Did you start RTTS before the 1.01 patch? No - fresh system and game purchase just 3 days ago. Patched fully (system and game) before starting/saving anything.
