June 27, 2010 CF for Yankees organization. It kept crashing whenever I went to my next start. I was in AAA.

I was called up in Sept. 21, 2009 to play 75 games on the 40 man roster. In the beginning of 2010, I was put into AAA starting CF.

The thing was that if I try to play June 28 or June 29, it crashes. When I skipped to June 30th, it was ok again. I am going to make 3 backups per game week from now on.

is this happening to everyone playing RTTS? please tell me some people are getting through their first season. please tell me there is a patch in the works for this. it is kinda like knowing you are going to die. why go on unless there is a way to avert your own death.

I was simming a season on Franchise, and went to check my AA line-up. There was barely anyone on it, and I tried to change the batting order, resulting in the crash. So I'm thinking it's relating to the rosters being incomplete for the RTTS version of it.

Similar problems here. Created myself as a SP playing for the cardinals. Got through Spring Training and then the month of April in the Cardinals AA farm system. Everything was working fine and then:

May 2nd - No longer able to SIM date, SIM to next appearance or even SIM season. As far as I can tell there is currently no way to advance in RTTS.

This does not seem like a minor bug to me, this mode is completely broken. If I'm overlooking something please let me know.

Hey guys, I have only read bits and pieces of this thread so I'm not to sure if anybody has noticed this...

This year sometimes when I am simming thru the minors ( I lived the dream last year ) and I only have 1 day left for my goals I sim "judgement day" but it just gets "pushed back" a day.

Well whenever I see an angle I take it, so I just kept simming and if the "would you like to view your goals?" popped up I would exit out and try again. I was able to get 5 to 6 more days added to my goal period. Bad idea. I too became a crash and burn victim. I had no back up.

So onto my next career and same issue. You think I would have learned that if you touch the hot stove you get burned, no not me. Atleast this time I wore an oven mitt.

This one gave me the idea that this really could be a root to this problem. The first time I simmed judgement day and it didn't "register" I instantly saved the file as a new career (oven mitts ya'll). The very next day was a file crash and burn day. I deleted that file and used its "mother" file but I made sure I was judged on judgement day from there on out.

Now I bat in the 2 hole for the Dodgers.

Not necessarily in your first season, but at some point, it will crash. Some have it quick and some have it many years down the line. The mode is broken.

It will make sense if it is a thing with the rosters not being complete that will cause it to crash. And that will also explain why it crashes at different times throughout people's careers as the retirements signings etc won't be exactly the same for everyone's RTTS.

Unfortunately though, if it is a roster problem, I can't see a patch fixing our saved files and we will have to start over...ahhh I wish we could have some news regarding this, as I don't want to put in hours and hours just to have to start over. I hate having to do things over, if this is a case fo me having to restart my RTTS career, I think I'll rather go for franchise.

Since I used the default rosters, I've created 2 rtts players without this crash happening. In one, I made it all the way to 2016 with no crashes. I get bored so I usually start an new one after I go that long.

One was with the Cubs and one was with the Reds. The one that froze for me was with the Tigers, but I had made some roster edits (i.e., put Manny on Dodgers, changed some numbers, etc.)

That's why I thought it was a roster issue. I'm going to start a new one with the Tigers again to see if I can make through again on default rosters.

Just an update on the situation.

Russell from SCEA has been in contact with me and I am working with him to try and make some progress on this crash and burn issue. I'll keep all of you updated as I receive any information back from him.

I have been following this thread and I don't even have the game or a PS3, but I am almost there. Looking toward the next week or two and I will have the goods. So lets get this thing fixed.

It's unprecedented in regards to the communication that the game developers have with gamers of The Show.

I never doubted SCEA's commitment, but I am truly amazed at how they have reached out to try and amend this and other issues.

Like I mentioned before, I'll update everyone as soon as I hear back from Russell on my RTTS file. Hopefully they can knock this bug out in no time.

I'm hoping it's something small. I am about to get called up to the majors mid-season for my pitcher RTTS, and I don't want it to crash and have to start over or something.

Yeah Russell PM'd me asking me to email him the save that is crashing. Anybody who doubts these guys' commitment to the community needs to rethink themselves. I have ultimate faith that they will be able to resolve this.

Chalk me up as another to have a crash n' burn on my RTTS guy. September 18, 2011. In ML all season (year 3.) I'm bummed about it sure but I'm not mad. If it gets fixed it gets fixed, if not then not. If I have to start another RTTS then so be it. I wish I'd have known about this bug though before I ran right out and got a PS3 for the game though. Oh well live and learn
