Yeah also, the players are either red or blue. In the 80's were people red and blue?

Bases Loaded 2 was my favorite out of all the Bases Loaded for NES games. Simpler days.

i'm 32 as well and I am floored on how these games have come along. I played the LED handhelds and for the life of me I can't remember a baseball game on the Commodore 64. How far these games have come.... RBI baseball, the Hardball series I remember fondly.

Hardball I played alot in high school and college for both the Atari 800 XL (my first computer along with the Commodore 64) and then later the Sega Genesis. Yea, I don't remember what baseball game the 64 had. I think there was one Earl Weaver Baseball for it. I thought it had Hardball too? You could actually choose pitches and locations in Hardball which was one of the first to allow you to do this.

I was quite the computer guy back in my day (made my first Space Invader clone when I was 13 or 14 in basic with Player Missile Graphics, lol), but I can't say I remember the Tandy 1000. I remember the Vic 20, Texas Instruments computers, but not the Tandy. I will have to look that one up.

34 here. Baseball has always been my favorite video game sport. I just feel the most in control, less scripted than others (football specifically). Probably because of the batter pitcher interface. Never the less this game has reinvinted sports video gaming for me, I feel like I am twelve again, excited before each game...truly awesome, If the devs were here with me i would hug um..non gay style. Side note I even played the APBA dice baseball game...that is hardcore. Where double Sixes was a HR...lol that game was pretty tight.

                        Jim is not the oldest!!!!
I am a huge baseball fan, having played the game almost all my life, until retiring about 8 years ago after some 25 year old buck about took my head off with a line drive as I was playing in at third.
I play this game all the time and played with Knight's rosters all last year....best baseball game ever.
I will be 68 by the time this year's World Series is history and I can still kick *** on Veteran (acturally, I win about half of them).

My first Baseball video game was Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball for the NES. I used to play that game for hours at a time. My friends would get mad because i don't think i ever lost a game to a human opponent.

I don't want to rock anybody's boat but the best baseball game PRE-The Show, has to be LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES for the NES. Many a times I spent my youth playing that darn game. It had the hot soundtrack tune to go with some pretty good SFX at that time. Pre-Game bat toss to determine home/visitor. Tall skinny kid who was a power pitcher, chubby kid who was the power hitter, and the small short kid who was a speedster. in a tense situation u would see the batters knees start shaking the and its shows when the pitcher was tired or nervous. Also the HIT BY PITCH animation is hilarious. On top of that who couldn't love the Cheerleaders popping out of the crowd after every homerun. It had it all Gameplay/Graphics/Sound. Memories it brings me back...

Re: All you young guys should consider yourselves very, very lucky

I remember playing baseball on my Atari 2600, then moving to the baseball game on the 5200.

I will never forget seeing a picture of Hardball for the Commodore 64 in a magazine. I thought it looked amazing, and I played that game to death.

When I was a kid, my dad taught me how to play APBA, a baseball board game. It was awesome because it had classic teams and all-time teams as well.

I them graduated to another board game called Pursue the Pennant. That was amazing that game. I would play both teams. LOL..

After that, I bought a brand new computer just to play Tony LaRussa 2. That was a classic. It had the old stadiums, and I remember reprogramming all the rosters and stats so I could replay the 1950 season. It was great..
