Coaches are "linked": When I try to hire a better coach/manager to improve my franchise, another coach (with worse attributes) is often hired instead. I fire this coach and try to hire the guy I originally wanted, by the same (worse) coach is hired again

I can't re-create this bug can someone tell me exactly how its happening to them.

sometimes the ball will pass through the barrel of my bat when Im swinging, usually on a 2 strike pitch causing me to strike out.

random, but if you swing alot you will see it.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
Announcers said that if my team won, they'd be back at .500, despite being about 12 games under .500. The other team had the exact same record as mine.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Only happened the one time that I know of, though I have heard the announcers also give incorrect stats especially with relief pitchers.

I went to record a replay during a game. I got some message about the recording failing and I was not able to exit the replay, I had to hold down the PS button and quit the game. It happens randomly.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
I've had it happen to me once but have read others with this problem.

I am unable to move forward in my RTTS season. I can not 'Sim to next appearance' nor 'sim to date' in the future.

I believe it is relative to the savefile somehow. I am certain I did not 'interrupt' a save to cause this. Willing to provide the file on request if it would help.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Every time from the save file in question. Doing a manager action such as reporting poor team chemistry and then saving a new file does not solve the problem.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? In spring training games, I use the Houston Astros and when I am on the road and pinch hit for my pitcher, the pinch hitter is forced to face a batter before I can bring in a relief pitcher. It does not happen when I am the home team and yes, I can recreate it. Very aggrivating because in ST I pinch hit alot and use many pitchers while trying to evaluate everyone.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
It can be reproduced every road game in spring training.

I co-sign to this for the PS2 as well. Its happening in franchise mode for me.

On two separate occasions, in the same game, I hit deep balls to right center and left center field at Fenway that were heading towards the fence, but it was in question if they would stay in the park. The OF tracked down the ball, and on the 1st one, ran through the wall and into the bullpen area--totally off of the playing field, catching what should have been a HR for an out. The 2nd time, the fielder caught the ball right at the same time the ball should have been bouncing off the wall, but ran through the wall, catching it for an out also.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
I've only seen it in that one game, but it did happen twice in that game. It's hard to recreate the hit and conditions necessary for this to occur.

I second this glitch. has actually happened in all parks that I've hit the ball deep to* either right field wall or left field wall, including ST games. Never happens between leftcenter and rightcenter though.

*I haven't played in ALL PARKS just most of the spring training ones and a few MLB parks.

Probably, yes. What happened was I hit a ground ball that was overthrown and I safely made it, which should result in reaching on an error. Though I tried to round to second base, got caught in a pickle, and got tagged out. Instead of it being an error, it was a ground out.

(note the ground out at the end of the 4th that has all of the numbers before the put-out... that can't happen from a ground ball force out)

Probably every time you are unsuccessful in reaching another base after reaching on an error. I do believe that singles you try and stretch into doubles are credited as singles and not ground outs, so as far as I'm concerned this is only with the overthrows (maybe bobbled errors as well).

At AT&T Park, there is the Willie Mays 24 foot brick wall out in right field, where at the very top it sticks out just a bit more than the rest of the wall. In this game, it's some blue-filled logo or advertisement, to be more specific. When a fly ball hits it, the batter is credited with a home run. In real life, this ball is still live and in play.

Yes I can recreate it, but not intentionally.

As often as it hits off the wall. I have only seen it done twice, but they were both in the same game. I have seen another report of this on this site as well.

My pitcher was injured in the middle of an inning and I had to replace him with someone in the bullpen, who was not given any time to warm up prior to coming into the game. As a result, he is coming in cold, even though in real life they are allowed as much time as possible to warm up (and the CPU's pitcher comes in warm in this situation as well).

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Any time you injure a pitcher in the middle of an inning and you don't have anyone warming up in the bullpen.

Announcer sometimes says wrong names of batters at the plate. Seems to be new, generated players in AA and AAA leagues. Cannot recreate it.

I was playing a game between the Cubs & Dodgers when this happened. I was the Dodgers, the score was 3-2 in the top of the 9th, no outs, 1-2 count when Cotts threw a slider outside which i took for a ball. It looked like maybe it was a pitch that might have went past the catcher but since i couldn't see the catcher i couldn't tell if he caught it or not. But all the sudden nothing would happen. I couldn't swing with Manny, couldn't get the guess pitch thing up, couldn't get the menu to pinch hit, nothing, and Cotts was still standing where he ended throwing the pitch. I figured in about 5 seconds or so, things would go back to normal but nope. So i paused the game, switched controls to the Cubs to see if that would work but when i did the catcher had the ball and was standing near the wall. I was able to throw the ball to Lee at first, Miles at second & Ramirez at third and could run around with them, dive & jump but nothing would get the game to work again.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
no idea since this was the first time it ever happened to me

This has to be the biggest bug in the game IMHO.

When I attempt to hit & run, my batter will not swing at the ball. Sometimes, the animation of the swing will happen, but the ball will never be hit. If the pitch is a strike, the announcer will say that is was a called strike, and the slo-mo replay will show that the bat never left my shoulders. This is true even if I power swing (meaning it wasn't just a check swing).

This makes it impossible to hit & run, and very dangerous to steal with two strikes, as I won't be able to swing should the pitch come flying through the zone.
I have had many instances where I swung at ball four, but found myself trotting down to first base. Also, as I was trying to swing at a pitch while stealing, only to miss even though it was right down the middle, I would have to hear Matt say that it was a "called strike three".

When I use a created player and go to batting practice, the batter never steps into the batter's box. All the controls work fine (pause, etc.) and I can exit the game mode without any issues. I can recreate it as it seems to happen everytime I use a created player; however, I've never had the issue with a "real" player.

Whenever I want to use a created player in practice mode, batting practice.

I was playing with Fast Mode turned on, so no cut scenes, but when a player got injured or someone tried to argue a call the game froze. The game freezes, controller freezes, PS3 freezes.

Every single cut scene when Fast mode is turned on. Happened twice last night, and once before.

I have had this happen numerous times in my season mode. The announcer says, with a win, my team will be back to .500, even though my team's record was over .500 at the time...I heard this at least 2-3 times...
