What game mode did the bug happen in?
SportsConnect online menus


How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
When I browse through the various online menus (Game rooms, leagues, etc), the game will randomly crash to the PS3 menu.

It does not seem to crash when I am not actively browsing (no crashes while sitting in the chat room, for example).


How often can the bug be reproduced?
It can be reproduced every time I browse the menus, though the time until crash varies (sometimes instantly, sometimes after 30 seconds).

Game tied 6-6, no outs, man on second. My goal was to move the runner up. I hit a shot over the 2nd baseman's head for a single. Runner rounds third, gets thrown out at home. I fail, and lose 10 points. Not my fault ... I moved him up.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Doesn't seem right to me, unless that means I am supposed to bunt.

Doesn't seem right to me, unless that means I am supposed to bunt.

If he ends up out, you get hit with a fail. Same in Hit & Runs if the runner gets nailed at 3rd/home.

Well, I think it is wrong and should be changed (SCEA can make the discussion whether they agree with me or not). I did my job, I should not be penalized for bad base running.

I dont know if this is a bug but figured I would report it and see if anyone else has had this happen...

I was in the middle of a game, went into the box score screen, turned off the tv and ran outside to do something for 15 minutes, came back and the game has suddenly booted me all the way back to the XMB and I had lost all progress in that current game.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Not sure since this is the first time its happened but also the first time Ive done what I did which caused it.

When I want to start the 2009 regular season. I attempt to "Sim Spring" or "End Spring Training" and the game shuts off and I return to my PS3 home page.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
This has happened every time I tried to start my season. I cannot start my season through "End Spring Training" or "Sim Spring"--"Advance to Regular Season"

There's a double-switch bug I've run into twice.

The player taking the pitcher's spot in the order isn't given credit for his first AB in the game. Instead it goes to the pitcher whose spot he took.

The game log shows the right information, but the box score and stats credit the wrong player, even if that pitcher was removed in the previous half-inning.

The error was very apparent in the game announcing, too. It went like this:

Cardinals (the team I was managing) are the away team. Brendan Ryan had started the game at 2B hitting 8th.

In the home half of the inning, I double-switched, inserting Skip Schumaker at 2B hitting 9th, and bringing a reliever in at the 8 spot.

Schumaker and the new pitcher play the home half of the inning.

Schumaker leads off the top half of the next inning. (Here's where inattention bites me... I didn't notice who was announced as batting.) He makes an out. It's AFTER he makes the out that Matt V. says "and now Schumaker is going to come in to play defense." Remember that he had already played half an inning on defense.

The game log shows him making the out, but the box score credits the out to the pitcher who had been out of the game for four outs at this point.

The next time Schumaker bats, it displays his season numbers as though he hadn't batted yet, which according to the box score, he hadn't.

I hope that's enough information to track down the bug, or at least figure out a workaround to prevent it.

It's far from a game-killer, but for someone like me who pays very close attention to stats, it's very annoying. It's actually made me scrap my Cardinals franchise and switch to the AL for now.

I went to record a replay during a game. I got some message about the recording failing and I was not able to exit the replay, I had to hold down the PS button and quit the game. It happens randomly.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
I've had it happen to me once but have read others with this problem.

I had this exact same problem.

Only it happens to me so far during exhibition games when I am actually winning .

I play two seasons of a franchise and after the off-season of the second season, when I try to progress, the game crashes and kicks me out to the PS3 home screen...I checked the line-ups and they only have two players in the lineup?? This may be why it happens...

I have started two franchises with this and it happens every time. I also saved the game the second franchise right before the start of spring training and each time I load it and try to progress it kicks me out.

I am really surprised that there are not more complaints about this - it essentially makes the franchise mode unplayable after anything more than 2 seasons...that is a pretty big flaw...

The bug happened by deactivating the guess pitch feature. It seems that the swing analysis feature (when batting one clicks the "L3" before the next pitch) does not work even though one sets it to "on" in the options unless the guess pitch feature is turned on too. If one turns the guess pitch feature to "off" in the options, the swing analysis is no longer an option.

I can recreate it by turning the guess pitch feature off. When I do this it will no longer be possible to click the L3 to get the swing analysis.

Everytime one turns the option to "off" in the "guess pitch" feature option.

RTTS season will not save automatically; Last auto-save that works is June 3, 2010. I play 2 weeks of games, quit, load and realize that I'm back to June 3.
I turn off auto-save, play one game, save manually, it works.

Another problem that seems to go hand in hand with the above is that when I tried to save manually (even overwrite my RTTS file) it says that I need about a 100MB in space to save.
I have 3GB in free HDD. I ended up deleting a bunch of save files just to make enough space to save my RTTS.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Every time I want to save.

edit - iirc, the save file messed up as soon as I got hit by the "invisible batter" in BP.

I have seen many times the tag attempts by the defense to be very inconsistent.
How often can the bug be reproduced? Many times.

In RTTS after a trade my power and speed attributes drop 10-15 points.

I've only seen this once and don't know if anybody else has seen it or not. It's not a huge problem. I did a double switch bringing in a reliever Yates and inserting a first baseman Laroche. The first baseman took the mound and threw one pitch, then the manager came out of the dugout and did the double switch and the pitcher took the mound.

Franchise, manage game mode.

i have a new replay glitch!

(and this was at the end of a game my player snapped out of a slump in by hitting his first GRAND SLAM in AAA and 2 SINGLES!)

i pressed L3, it said the replay was finished (but i hadn't started yet, i pushed L3 to START the recording) and then i pressed it again and it said there was an error

it wouldnt let me press start select or L3! WTF?!
