ALL ONLINE MODE

- Game freezes frequently, in about 70% of online games . All played against the same opponent, a friend that I know is not disconnecting. We played 100 games of MLB 08 with ZERO Crashes. Unfortunetely in 09 its quite different. Game freezes almost always online. We cannot tell if anything particular sets it off. We dont think its anything specific that triggers this. This is very bad.

- Also when batters swing and miss the bat kinda hovers over their arms instead on in their hands. This is visually bad.

- Occasional moments when you get 4 outs in an inning.

- Swinging is somewhat choppy looking especially when swinging at a bad pitch and not nearly as smooth as in 08.

Fix these and the online Game will be great. Thanks.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?


1. Ground ball foul, first baseman picked it up in foul territory, dropped it. He was charged with an error, announcers acknowldeged the error, however batter and count remained the same.

2. Same inning CPU pitcher had two mound visits, but never pulled the pitcher.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Never saw either before, don't know how to reproduce them.

Redsox vs Angels in first game of playoffs. Playing Redsox, top of 6th, runner on 1st. Hit the ball, ball appeared to hit the pitcher and bounce back to the plate. Hit was called foul.

Nothing froze or hung, but the game did not progress. None of the opposition went to pick up the ball and I could control my runner on 1st. I waited a while and tried running to 2nd. This worked, so I brought the running round to home plate and the run was announced as a scored run.

However, the batter was still poised on the plate and none of the opposition had collected the ball and the game was just running. I could bring up the menu and look at stats etc. but cannot quit the game or force progression. Only solution to force quit and start again.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

Only happened the once.

bases loaded 2 out ground ball easy out to 1st inning over run scored.

I was on first base and the batter behind me doubled to the gap and I stopped at third base. The next batter (Dan Uggla) came up to bat and it would not move from the walkup screen. I tried hitting every button on the gamepad and it wouldn't change back to the live action. I just got a constant closeup of Uggla taking practice swings. I had to exit out of MLB The Show and restart the game, losing all of the stats I had accumulated for that game.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Never saw it before and havent been able to reproduce it.

I was on the way to second and got thrown out . when they showed the replay the throwing hand of the shortstop was 10 inches away from his body. I saw this on replays a couple times.

I've had my RttS player's left hand do that while he's on base sometimes. Rarely happens though.

Started noticing my lineups are all shaken up even though I have it on control CPU rosters in the option screen. I can even go back and set the roster the way I want it and it'll show correctly before the game. But once the game starts the lineup is totally different for the CPU team.

Example: Helton batting lead-off for the Rockies.

Can you recreate it? Yes. I tried starting season mode several times. Each time once I checked the lineups (inside the season), they were nothing like what I just set as the lineups for the file to be used for season mode. And I even tried different roster files hoping it was a bad file. Same result.

Here is the problem: The CPU will get a runner at third and will straight steal home...and the batter won't swing or even make an attempt to swing. Of course, this leads to an easy tag out for me. But, if there was a runner at second - he will steal third. Then, after watching his teammate just getting tagged out at home, he will then try his luck at stealing home without the batter swinging. And once again, it is an easy tag out for me. Has happened in about 45 of 50 Exhibition games that I have played.

I've only seen this once and don't know if anybody else has seen it or not. It's not a huge problem. I did a double switch bringing in a reliever Yates and inserting a first baseman Laroche. The first baseman took the mound and threw one pitch, then the manager came out of the dugout and did the double switch and the pitcher took the mound.

Franchise, manage game mode.

That bug has already been reported.

Clicked L3 to try and create a replay movie, a box popped up that said there was an error while trying to create my movie, I clicked OK but then could not exit replay mode. All other functionality of the replay worked (play, pause, ff, rewind, zoom, etc) but the start button didn't, I could not return to the game no matter what. I tried shutting off the controller and turning it back on but that didn't work. Eventually I had to give in and shut the PS3 off and lose my progress that game. Sucks too because I had gone back to back with A-Rod and Tex.

Carl Crawford was a Type A free agent on my team. The top free agent as a matter of fact. He did not resign with me after offering arbitration and a contract. No compensation came in the following year's draft. This really takes a way from the new roster system as it's one of the top features for a club trying to run on a small budget.

I've only seen it once, but have heard of it elsewhere.

Announcers said that if my team won, they'd be back at .500, despite being about 12 games under .500. The other team had the exact same record as mine.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Only happened the one time that I know of, though I have heard the announcers also give incorrect stats especially with relief pitchers.

I hear this towards the end of almost every game.
