Quick question. Well I have been experiencing this as well but call me crazy, but where do I find this option at? I was looking for it last night and didn't find it.

It in the in-game options only (not in the front end).

Thanks to the Mods for finally dealing with this issue. Creating a single thread for this topic was badly needed...hopefully this will reduce some of these "ideas" from leaking into other threads.

Unfortunately the "Victory by errors" glitch was not removed in the patch. I played my first full post-patch game and also my first game with opponent clutch ratings set to 99.

Same set-up as my clutch zero tests - American League All Stars (me) at Detroit. The game is tied 3-3 (only because Sheffield hit a bloop to right in the 6th inning which caused the RF to dive and miss so a single turned into a bases clearing triple.)

Anyway, bottom of the 9th and I have a fresh K-Rod on the mound. I got a quick fly ball out followed by this:

Then I get a strike out followed by a bloop single to left after jamming Everett on a 2-seamer. Then this.....

It's hard to tell from the video but it was an easy ground ball to handle. Wow, 2 errors by Jeter in the inning (and yes I was using auto fielding.) I guess clutch ratings don't impact defense because everyone says Jeter is Mr Clutch.

So now I have the bases loaded, 2 outs and of course a 99 clutch hitter at the plate. All of K-Rods pitches are looking good so I stick with him and toss a nice 2-seam fastball low & inside for a strike. Then I try to get him to chase high & outside and am surprised where the ball ended up. 1-1 count and now I'm thinking I better not try anything risky or God will punish me by issuing a wild pitch. I decide to throw a fastball low & away and end up serving a game losing single to right.

This is getting ridiculous, things like this happening practically every game. It's not losing the game that bothers me, at least the clutch at 99 seems to work. I feel like a cornerback who plays on a team with a lousy defensive line. You can follow your man only so long before someone comes open and you get burned. These late game errors really need to be fixed, sorry but it just feels scripted.

I know, the only thing this proves is that I don't know how to pitch.

You know I didn't really believe there was some comeback code till recently.
Lately I've been noticing almost all my games by the 7th inning or so both teams are tied in runs and hits?
The last game really ticked me off because I was pitching so dominant with Sabathia striking out 7 through 3 then the 5th came around and it all went to hell, they eventually tied in runs and yes hits.
I remembered reading all the posts about pitchers falling apart in the 5th and scratched my head, maybe if this thread never existed I would chalk it up to bad luck but since this thread does exist I'm chalking it up to Aliens, Elvis and Bigfoot :wink:

Yes, I haven't tracked this but I would estimate the majority of my runs have been allowed in the 1st, 5th, 6th and 9th innings.

1st inning - not sure why but the CPU really seems to get a jump on me. Perhaps it's just me getting used to the meter after not having played for a day or so. I've heard of others having the same issue though. Not a huge problem but worth noting.

5th & 6th inning: Starting pitcher melt-downs. In the game I just played Santana only had 68 pitches going into the 6th inning and promptly gave up 3 runs - and his release was expanded in the meter. It seems like anytime the yellow release window gets big then it's a bad omen.

9th inning: Errors, "comebacks" or whatever in full effect.

I beat the AI 14-5 and have won several games by 5 or more runs. I think the comeback AI doesn't exist. I thought it did, but I think it was just my poor pitching as much as anything.

lol...I can see the patch creating a whole new debate (actually, around here "argument" would be the more appropriate term) on this.
