I just tried moving the second controller over before the game, moving it back, and then starting a game. This doesn't work.
However, one thing that is nice for me now, is that if I have the correct lineups set and CPU roster control ON. All I have to do when I play a team is move the second controller over to the other team, start the game, and then move it back to CPU (the middle) before the game. You could do this before, but at least now, I don't have to put the lineups in every time like before. So at least that is better.
Helton will show up leading off in simulated box scores as well FYI. That sucks because it may affect his simmed stats. Looks like Knights lineup fix may be the way to go for this problem if stats sim out well still.

I know everyone is caught up in the roster control issues (completely understandable), but has anyone noticed, or attempted to check on, other franchise stuff like the DL, staff issues, etc?
I looked back a few and didn't see anything, but everyone kinda jumped into panic mode about roster control so maybe I overlooked the other stuff if it was mentioned.
EDIT: Whoops! Was typing when the good Dr. mentioned creating another thread to sort this out. Good stuff DrUrsus.

Yep, we will just have to live with it for now, and use Knight's lineup fix rosters.
It appears his roster still has the stat glitch from my tests so far as well. The newer SCEA rosters seem fine. I will check out Ridins now.
At least the Cubs schedule is fixed, and the lineups stick better IF you use a second controller.Comment

Really, with the whole "lineup glitch", how is the game supposed to take into account that one day the Cubs lineup is Theriot, Fukodome, Soriano and the next day the Cubs lineup is Soriano, Theriot, Fukodome. No pleasing you.....Then go play MLB 2K9. Alot of you people act like pansies because of a few glitches here and there. I think the game plays great and can overlook a few minor bugs within the franchise mode. QUIT YER BITCHING!Comment

another shot in the dark for anyone willing to try...
Delete the saved data utility from your hard-drive and then re-load it and see if that works. If you want, delete everything you have saved and "start fresh" and see if that works.

I generally dont like to post on issues like this, but here goes.
First, we havent heard from Russel or SCEA at this point, so let's not lose AL hope yet. Granted, im at work, but im pretty damn disappointed also. I appreciate Knights hard work, but wanted to use the stock SCEA ratings, with Knight's minors and RAZR's stuff (Version 3). I figured the patch would update the lineup issue.......no such luck.
The good news is, while the lineup issue sucks, at least Knight has a fix for that if its that important to you.
The historical stat glitch, ugh, that gets on my nerves too.
Thus far the game is good, but has its faults (they all do) and the patch is underwhelming right now. But im willing to wait for SCEA before i jump off a bridge.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

yes, because people bitching or venting is what we want to read....sony hasnt even released any info on this patch and people are crying game killer.
sony may not be able to fix the things people want. Maybe they dont feel they are glitches. Maybe that was just part 1 of the patch.....who knows. But sitting here bitching about it doesnt help anythingComment

I don't have an issue with that when CPU roster control is OFF. But, when it is ON I should be able to set the lineups just like I have in the past.
The other issue is that Todd Helton is NOT going to EVER lead off for the Rockies. This has more to do with his attributes in the game, that is why Knight edited him to get him lower in the lineup. If the lineups were better it would help.
I follow the real season, and make moves and set the lineups that way. That is why I like the CPU roster control ON feature. We all play differently. Many of us play that way. I can live with this, it just is not ideal.Comment

the big issue for me is the historical glitch.
for those of us who are using Knights roster we will never have
accurate stats, the batting order means nothing, especially if guys like A Rod only have 200 HR's. Is there any way to get Knights rosters to work ? or do they need to be redone based on the newer online rosters?
it sucks because the OS community put so much effort into creating these rosters, and to have them tarnished with innacurate historical stats is a real shame!Comment
