Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Not if you're using the FMv2 set the lineups will indeed be "correct"(per MLB opening day).
If you are using the STOCK(SCEA ratings)...then yes...of course it's still there...that one doesn't fix the lineups...it's SCEA's! (with my full minors).
Let's keep things accurate if we're going to post things!!
There are enough guys posting some B.S. as it is

i also dont see these fatigue issues you guys are seeing. I guess i should ask, knight, did you mess with the fatigue too?
I am seeing fatigue in the game. But not to the point where i am getting a message about it. I havnt gotten any messages saying a guy needed rest
FYI- previous franchise - 20 games in
Current franchise 12 games inComment

exactly. Knights roster FIXES the lineup glitch. This has been tested again and again so anyone saying they are using his roster and the glitch is still there either is confused on what roster they are using or is just flat out posting false stuff.

I think the guy just was using the wrong set(the set where I set the ratings back to SCEA default) in regards to the lineups.
Yes...I did indeed tweak the fatigue.....I know guys don't like having to rest guys so much(or seeing the CPU do it)...

No it's not, not at all. It's called quit crying like little kids cause you didn't get your way. The SCEA guys are doing the best they can.....some of you act like they're doing this for the fun of it. Like I said, grow up.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Ok guys some good news here: While I was performing the fatigue test I noticed final scores appeared to be abnormal (in a good way. ) One of the problems in simming has been that pitching is juiced which results in pathetic offenses and low final scores.
So what I did was sim a whole season in my Angels franchise and here are the results:
ERA league average: 4.21 (MLB average is 4.33)
Runs scored league average: 731.5 (MLB average is 754)
So this is either a fluke or it has been fixed. In my tests before the patch, league ERA averages were much lower. Also, Bill Abner brought up this problem prior to the game being released. I think his tests concluded league average ERA's were in low 3's. It's possible since Bill brought this to attention so early they were able to put a good fix on it.
Also, thanks Doc for all your hard work and others for keeping us up to speed in other areas of the game.Comment

Knight's lineup fix rosters alleviates the lineup problems, but does not fix it entirely. He knows this. Jim416 and I have discussed it here on the forum as well. If you do some movements, etc. Won't go into it here.
If you don't see any problems, well then, as they say "ignorance is bliss".
Having said that, I can live with the problems there are now. Are they ideal? No. I was expecting more (kind of like I was expecting a PS3 for Christmas, but got a PS2), but it's time to move on.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
When some of you guys grow up and get real problems, issues like lineups and stat glitches won't be that big of a deal. Once that happens you will enjoy this game for what it is and that's a fun hobby to pass the time.
Getting on here and making an a$$ out of yourself, or calling Russell a POS is ridiculous and really makes the whole OS community look like idiots.
Tell me another video game maker that would chat on line with the people that play their game to find out what they could do to make it better.
I've been playing these games for 20+ years.....the last 4 or 5 years these message boards have become popular and the SCEA team is the first I've seen that does more than rely on stock reviews for their feedback. These guys care about how we feel about their game......If they didn't they wouldn't be coming out with patches a month after release.
So quit showing your a$$ and play the game, or don't, whatever, but don't get on here and ruin the relationship we have with SCEA just because they didn't fix YOUR issues. There is still hope for humanity. A voice of reason cries out in the wilderness.
