Yeah, it's stupid, but the game wasn't intended to be played like that. Both Madden and The Show have plenty of legitimate problems, but expecting the developers to code for every style of unorthodox/unrealistic play is a bit much to ask. This is a sim, remember.
I'm playing the game wrong even though I said I have never seen this nor tried it???

This is something that i don't think anyone would expect in the game. And corey was just pointing it out, not necessarily playing the game wrong.

I don't play online, nor do I play against others, but I would imagine that if this holds true to online play, it could present a pretty big problem.

I do agree with you it is not playing right, I would never do it, but it is a simple enough problem that as long as they know about it is probably easy to fix. This is the first I have heard about it.

So you're saying you have men on 1st & 3rd w/2 out...you send both runners and the batter happens to walk. Instead of tagging the runner on 3rd who's "stealing" home he simply throws it back to the pitcher and the run scores?

Does it cut to an animation and you can't actually see the run score?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

If there is no runner behind the man on 2nd, yes - I believe so. I don't recall being in this position however.

Yes. Or, it will cut to the high overhead (announcer booth angle) as though it would when there would be a play to the plate, and the catcher just throws the ball back to the pitcher.

I think he is just saying that it is unrealistic for a runner at 3rd base to be on the move with no runner at 2nd. Unless, of course it is a squeeze play.

I find it strange that we haven't heard anything from SCEA yet. I thought they were going to let us know on Wednesday...

Oh well, as long as the game is fixed, that is what matters.

Alright, cmon, lets get back to patch stuff. It makes it even tougher for people with issues or legit questions to come in here or for Russell to come in and figure out what to do, or how to address it.

(Alright Russell, i paved the way for you to come in and wow us)

Yes, this. There's no reason to be sending the runner from 3rd, and it would not happen in real life. It's still technically wrong (in terms of how the catcher should play it), but asking Sony to think of EVERY possible play you might feel like doing is going a bit overboard. Why not complain that Nick Swisher's K's per 9 isn't high enough? lol..who would have seen that coming?

Call it "occupying ourselves in the meantime". It's better than ranting and waving pitchforks isn't it?

Any chance we're getting an update from RUSSELL today? As of now we don't even know if they're choosing to turn the other cheek and let us go...

See here's the thing, he was polite in his post, you don't see him complaining everywhere. He simply pointed out a flaw that he found. He isn't asking Sony to think of every possible play, he simply found one that was wrong and pointed it out.

I'm assuming you are a franchise player like me so this issue is irrelevent. But again, maybe he plays online, it would be frustrating to play against someone like that and know you have to throw a strike EVERY time in that situation or you are going to give up a run.

I just don't see how him bringing that up in this thread was such a terrible thing.

No idea - his last post was on pg. 76

You know what I know that's all I got at this time. Before yesterday there was no plan of doing another patch. Hence why I stated I would have an update. Well that has changed now and things are in limbo, don't know what we are going to do at this moment in time.
Originally they were not going to do another patch, but now they are not sure. We'll see - hopefully we hear something at some point.
