Yeah, don't want the guys taking all that time to make long lists (thinking this is a wish list thread) and being disappointed if something isn't implemented.

Many of the suggestion threads have already been closed (see below)

I'm sure a lot of this stuff is already covered. '

Also, Hop, after my franchise I'll finally download the patch and we'll play some online games.

        Just so you know.
Is there a thread somewhere that lists what they will be focusing on?

I posted the entire forum in the above post. Most of the threads have been closed to further suggestions though as they are already in full production with a list of all things to be fixed/added, etc.

The forum mentioned WAS the wishlist for this game, but it was done with a different format that many people did take advantage of.

How bout hitters and pitchers park effectiveness? (If it isn't already implemented on this game) Players hitting at Petco Park sure aren't going to be hitting as many out as, say, Yankee Stadium.

I think improving the fielding and collision detection need to be the two top priorities. Everything else is pretty secondary IMO.

You're right, but It would be really sad if they don't fix the fielding problems in this game. People have been complaining since 07 about fielding and it's about time that they actually listen to it. Real manuel fielding is a must for the show 10. I'm sure they will fix the line-up glitch as well.

Im sure the team at SCEA is not going to rest on its laurels. I had a few ideas as I was playing on what to do for next year's game:

                      1) Commentated highlights. I love the highlight reels after each game, but it would be extra nice to have those clips narrated in a post game wrapup show.

                      2) Live weather conditions. Have the ability to play a game that is on the real MLB schedule with the same lineups, time & weather conditions.

                      3) Out of Town Scores and Highlights. It would be sweet to have a ticker in franchise mode that showed "live" scores from other games taking place in our season. Perhaps even having a presentation option to turn on/off Out of Town Highlights. When "on" the game randomly cuts to a SportsCenter Update between innings to show what's happening around the league. Having this commentated would be amazing. Very immersive for Frachise players.

                      4) Pitch Tracker Review. Maybe not the best name for it, but to have the game randomly recap the pitch sequence of a particularly crafty or lengthy pitcher/batter battle. Like they do in TV broadcasts, show quickly a pitch by pitch recap of the at bat and analyze what happened. "Lackey uses fastballs up and in to set up the outside changeup." or "Ramirez fights off 4 tough pitches and finally gets the one he wants for a base hit."

                      5) More cameras. The one thing I really love about MLB 09 is the camera work. Looks amazing. Please add more camera options to enhance the broadcast aesthetic. Blimp cam to give those dramatic overhead shots. Improved editing of replay angles to mirror a TV broadcast. Allow the manual "replay" camera controls to have an option to raise/lower the elevation of the camera. Id like to see some of my replays from higher up.

                      6) SportsCenter Shows. What would be cooler than watching a "This Week in Baseball" type show that highlights what is happening around the league in Franchise mode. Review the standings, streaks, show highlights, injuries, upcoming matchups on a daily or weekly basis.

Great work on 09. Looking forward to seeing what's in store for 10.

All great suggestions!!!, I agree. But #3 on you're list is my favorite!

Please SECA, do #3 for MLB10

I would like to see weather. Like having a rain delay or after the rain having a to play a double head. I think that would be very cool to have in MLB 10 The Show! I would like to see all of the Minor League Team (Class AAA, AA, and Single A) for the team that you are playing. Because EA Sports MVP Baseball 2005 have the Class AAA, AA, and the High Single A like the Chicago Cubs (Daytona Cubs they are the High Single A team) for Chicago Cubs!

                        But that's my opinion!

                        Thanks,

                        RJ

What I would love for MLB 10 The Show?

                          Well let me tell you...

                          1. Player Models-The day of the PS2 player models should be a thing of the past. I want the height and weight proportions to be different between players.

                          2. Weather- Give me rain delays, rain outs. I want to have to decide if I need to bring my pitcher out after a short delay, or watch a bullpen battle after a lengthy rain delay in the 3rd inning. I want the day/night double headers.

                          3. New Batting/Pitching Motions and Stances- While I will say that the new batting stances that were included in this year's game are great, I would like to see work done on some new motions and stances. With pitchers, a lot of them just look ackward as if they are just forcing the ball out. Maybe with new player models comes better looking motions.

                          4. New Commentary- The days of Rex Hudler will hopefully be over soon. What I would love to see is a new MLB Network style broadcast with a new 3 man booth that includes Matty V, Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds. I think that a sponsorship with the MLB Network could take this game to the next level and my next point will show you what I am talking about.

                          5. MLB Tonight/Quick Pitch for Franchise/Season Mode- Just think about this, you just finish up a franchise game with your beloved Dodgers, who just smacked around the Giants 12-1. But you are in a division/wild card race and you want to know how the Rockies fared against the Diamondbacks. How about a nightly or weekly highlight show that includes game updates, trade rumors, Capital One plays of the day/week. While the newspaper thing is nice it is a little bland. I think this would add a whole new dimension to any video game, let alone baseball. I understand though that this could be extremely difficult to pull off.

                          6. Daytime Progression- The dusk to night progression is surely a thing of beauty, but how about some love for day games. Just watch as the shadows creep from the upper deck at Wrigley to over first base by the end of the game.

That is all that I have for now.

Sorry about the double post. My computer's internet window keeps freezing. I've had to type this three times, which is almost as frustrating as the issue described below (and that's saying something!)

re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

                              Hitting Window Reprogramming:
The window of time allowed to aim your swing needs to be open longer. In real life, you can (and will) adjust your swing location during your swing. Your swing, or contact point isn't predetermined, or limited to something decided the moment your body initialized your swing.

What's happening because of this, is that most of the swings are straight down the middle, resulting in weak grounders and pop flys -- making a lot of hard work go to waste. I'm finding that I must "preload" my swings, that is making sure to hold the aiming stick in advance of the pitch/swing prior to hitting the swing button -- making this an experience that to me, is very un-baseball.

I know it's not just me, because the vast majority of online games I play (and I don't play with offensive powerhouse teams) result in a final score of 1-0. This makes the game feel entirely unrewarding. (No, the low scoring I've described isn't indicative of a pitcher's dual -- which would be fine if that were the case).

The swing location needs to be open until the bat has crossed the plate, or contact is made. Also, it doesn't help that you can't see the batting cursor online, and even if you could, it's pretty ugly.

This very important issue is probably the only thing preventing me from playing more than once every week or two. This is a beautiful game you've made, but it's almost going to waste on what I feel is a flawed hitting system.

I've listed my only must-have improvement above, but the below would be appreciated additions:

-Swing analysis fixed: Should be available to view analysis in "Guess Pitch Off" games. I don't feel that a review of your swing is related to the guess pitch feature.

-Pitch meter revamp: Location of meter placed differently. It's too far up, resulting in eye strain (I feel like I should be focused on the strike zone). Maybe the meter, or a new version of the meter in the strike zone simliar to the old Xbox ESPN/2k baseball games of 2003-05.

-Pitch meter hidden online: Should not available to see for the hitter during an online game. Not only is it distracting, but it's just not something my opponent should be privy to.

-Hitting cursor revamp/online: Should be available to see/use online. Make the hitting cursor more attractive (not green!, cleaner lines, less like something you'd see in Ghostbusters).

-Hit and Run Broken Online: Can't hit and run online. The runners will steal but the batter CANNOT swing!

-Check swing broken online: Check swing mechanic should mimic that of the offline game 100%. This is the first year I bought the show, so I can't comment on people who say "finally you can't check your swing at will!" I don't know about any of that, but it should work the same as it does offline.

I think I would be perfectly content if the only upgrade made was to have the ability to pull back a sacrifice bunt attempt. Man, that annoys me!
