re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

    MLB 10 must haves:

    1) Line drives towards OFs should make them freeze before reacting perfectly, so they don't catch EVERYTHING in front of them and behind them. Even the best OFs freeze for 1 second before making a jump, or make the wrong jump first.

    2) When on the mound with a runner on 2nd or 3rd base, have the ability to make a defender run to the base without having to throw the ball to him. Also, the pitcher should have the ability attempt a fake pick off to 2nd base or 3rd base.

    3) When your defense moves to cover a hit and run, it should not ALWAYS be the opposite field defender covering 2B. It should be opposite field defender on offspeed pitches, pull side on fast ball pitches.

    4) Defenders should have a 'hold throw' option. So you can wind up for a throw, then decide to hold it last second.

    5) When stealing, you should be able to run on movement, or let the players base stealing ability dictate when the runner goes. If a pitcher is not paying attention to the base runner, he will get a great jump. But a pickoff attempt will nail him 100% of the time.

    6) Ability to see the CPUs bullpen, without having to use replay and manually peek into the bullpen.

    7) Have an extra hitting option instead of just normal and power. Have normal, power, and the option to shorten up; like when youo have two strikes, or a hit and run, or a squeeze play. The power and solid hits attributes should go way down, and the foul off and contact go way up.

Most of these options were already in older games. Just like all Next Gen Sports Titles, it usually takes about 5 years to catch up to the older Gen when it comes to game play; just in time to scrap it all and go to a newer gen system

It would probably be too much to ask for all minor league systems in the MLB:

That would require going from 2250 players to 5250, which would be an increase of over 100%.

Fielding and the DL glitch are the two biggest problems for me.

The DL glitch in particular really ruins franchise.

I have to play with injuries off and now there is no downside to signing an injury prone star like Ben Sheets.

Fielding and pitcher confidence system needs to be addressed first and foremost. I don't even care about the player models that much to be honest. Also, and this is extremely important to me and maybe a few others, is GET RID OF GLOBAL SLIDERS AND BRING BACK INDIVIDUAL SLIDERS FOR CPU AND USERS FROM '08! No sports game should ever REMOVE sliders from a game and take away options that can further customize gameplay.

What? There's a whole list of separate user and CPU sliders. The global ones are mostly general stuff that would affect both sides anyway (hence "global). You really want user and CPU fielders to field, throw, and react differently and baserunners to run at different speeds? Pitch speed doesn't alter the CPU's gameplay, and wind is, well....

That pretty much covers the global sliders.

I should have clarified my suggestions a little better so I'll use one of your examples. Simply put, CPU fielders, no matter how low I put the fielding sliders, STILL get to balls in the outfield way faster than I can. They can take routes on some hits that result in singles that, if the other way around, would be automatic doubles. A few games back against the Dodgers I hit a shot to left field with Sheffield that I was POSITIVE was way out of Manny's range(for some reason he wasn't playing very deep)Anyways, he takes off as if he had a pair of rocket skates on, reached out and snagged it. Now normally I would have no problem with it, but the INCREDIBLE speed burst he displayed, especially after such a poor jump, was actually hilarious. It was like he pressed a 2k turbo button or something. So what I'm saying is, although some global sliders may affect user and CPU equally, some(pitch speed, baserunning)do it well and some(fielding speed) don't seem to.

Also, although I personally wouldn't, some people MIGHT WANT the CPU and user players to react differently, and the option for it was there in '08. I just don't agree with removing the sliders to do so, thereby limiting the customization, is all I'm saying.

Since I'm primarly a franchise mode player, I would love to see them add more prospects to the draft pool. It's kind of strange to me that when you go to the June Amatuer draft to see it start of with 10 rounds, but then see it stop after round 5 or 6 because it's run out of prospect to be drafted. Maybe adding in at least high Single A teams would fix this.

They have to get new commentary presentation for MLB 10 and future show titles. The EA NHL hockey series does a great job of commentary with gary thorne. When i play that series especially with the 5.1 surround you really feel the intensity, are engaged, and it presents a realistic approach while gaming.

I play MLB 09 with the commentary off because of the lack of realism it brings. Its very annoying to listen to and takes away from the enjoyment of the game from a broadcast point of view.

Agreed mucho, here. I don't mind Dave, he needs some more things, but I killed my dog over Rex Hudler and I will always blame him, lol. (just kidding, just kidding). I really don't understand Hudlers constant insults of players "act like you belong up here, etc." It's GOT to go. They can do all the presentation cameras in the world (and I hope they do), but with Hudler chiming in with his garbage, for me, it sort of destroys it. Matt is great, but a little more interaction would be nice (minus the doobie dog).

I'm actually enjoying the commentary off.

                          Here's my suggestions...

                          1) Better CPU management. Especially in RTTS. If you are an ace you should be used twice in the Divisional Playoff Series if it goes 5 games. You should be used possibly 3 times in the League Championship Series and World Series. Game 1, Game 5 and used out of the pen in game 7.

                          2) 3-6-3 double plays.

Please fix the "With this win, they'll bounce back to .500 for the season" commentary. It's just not true, I'm in first place at 59-38, I've been over .500

Other than that, put in a feature to make me more patient and pressing down on analog with the swing on pitches that are up in the zone. (can't break myself of doing that)

And the manager coming out after the first walk of the game, every, single time. Also when you walk a batter often times the announcers will say, he's already given up two walks in the inning... no I haven't.

You all know that the game is in full production for 2010 already, got their game plan, got their priorities. Much of this has been covered a couple months ago and the book is sort of closed, as far as the devs reading this thread and acting on them.

                                Just so you know.
