A ball teams are a must this time even if we can't play with them. If we can't have A ball teams, we should than have an inactive list with 10-15 players in case someone gets hurt (this will help avoid having to sign FA every time).

I was very thankful for the new additions this season. However, they need to tweak the off-season a bit, especially in regards to FA signings. Players should have ambitions. If an elite player become available in the FA market, he should automatically reject teams like the Nationals, Royals, etc.

Last, but not least, is the ability to negotiate with player agents. It doesn't need to be robust, but negotiating with a hard nosed agent may add a dimension to franchise. Imagine not being able to sign that guy you want because he had a breakout year during his walk year? That would be awesome. Bring on Scott Boras.

I'm sure they'll add few things but Jim is right, they have to fix the problems they have now for next year and if they do that i'm fine with it. The only thing i'd like to see is fantasy injuries during franchise with roster control on. That would be too cool. I have 1 question though why could HighHeat for PS2 do it and so far they can't on the PS3? Weird?>

A couple of things for Franchise:

-Players retiring and coming back as coaches.
-Being able ot select a team captain (would affect team chemistry)
-Player/coach personalities (would affect team chemistry and how likely player was to argue calls/charge mound)
-Being able to create a new stadium for your franchise/change team name and/or uniforms
-Being able to fire your coaches during the season
-having the ability to sign another teams batting/hitting/base coaches as your head coach at any time without them having to be fired by their current team or having their contract expire.
-being able to have a player-coach. It does happen in baseball once in a while. (last one was pete rose)
-being able to call up a rookie right after the draft if you want.
-international players should be able to be signed at any time not during the draft/ that's not realistic. You should be able to sign them as young as 16 years old.
-Game should say all coaches names. I hired Don Mattingly as my coach for the yankees and every time he goes out to pull a pitcher it says "the yankees manager" instead of his name.
-being able to create a coach (manager, batting, pitching or base)just in case the game leaves a couple out like it did this year. (name database would apply just like when creating a player)

********-You should have the option to download pictures to your system to replace player photos. For example, if you trade for a player from another team he still shows up wearing that old teams uniform. This would allow you to download a picture of that player online in his new teams uniform (or photoshop a picture) and then load it to the game. You would aslo be able to do this for any created players and coaches. I think this would be pretty awesome. I'm tired of the cartoon face pictures and having players on my roster wearing the wrong uniforms in their pictures.

Yes. I forgot to add that in. I would like to see the SkyDome (sorry not calling it the...ahem...Rogers Center...zzzzz) use that retractable roof. Same with Safeco Field and Miller Park. Depending on the time of year and conditions you should be able to have retractable domes open or shut.

Yes. I do like that feature in the game. Live scores on the scoreboards are a wonderful thing, but not always the easiest to see. I guess im going for more broadcast/telecast flare. As if the game in playing in Franchise mode is like a game im watching on TV. Maybe have those "live" scores in both places: boards in the stadiums AND scrolling accross a ticker now and then to give us updates.

                1) Commentated highlights. I love the highlight reels after each game, but it would be extra nice to have those clips narrated in a post game wrapup show.

                2) Live weather conditions. Have the ability to play a game that is on the real MLB schedule with the same lineups, time & weather conditions.

                3) Out of Town Scores and Highlights. It would be sweet to have a ticker in franchise mode that showed "live" scores from other games taking place in our season. Perhaps even having a presentation option to turn on/off Out of Town Highlights. When "on" the game randomly cuts to a SportsCenter Update between innings to show what's happening around the league. Having this commentated would be amazing. Very immersive for Frachise players.

                4) Pitch Tracker Review. Maybe not the best name for it, but to have the game randomly recap the pitch sequence of a particularly crafty or lengthy pitcher/batter battle. Like they do in TV broadcasts, show quickly a pitch by pitch recap of the at bat and analyze what happened. "Lackey uses fastballs up and in to set up the outside changeup." or "Ramirez fights off 4 tough pitches and finally gets the one he wants for a base hit."

                5) More cameras. The one thing I really love about MLB 09 is the camera work. Looks amazing. Please add more camera options to enhance the broadcast aesthetic. Blimp cam to give those dramatic overhead shots. Improved editing of replay angles to mirror a TV broadcast. Allow the manual "replay" camera controls to have an option to raise/lower the elevation of the camera. Id like to see some of my replays from higher up.

                6) SportsCenter Shows. What would be cooler than watching a "This Week in Baseball" type show that highlights what is happening around the league in Franchise mode. Review the standings, streaks, show highlights, injuries, upcoming matchups on a daily or weekly basis.

Great work on 09. Looking forward to seeing what's in store for 10.

Nice. #2,3, and 6 would make a great game even greater!!!!

If you're having engine trouble, why the hell are you asking the mechanic to shine the rims?

Oh, that's right, because "chicks dig shiny things".

                        - Weather: Rain-outs and delays would be awesome, and for teams with retractable roofs, this would be even cooler.

                        - Realistic Crowds: Dolphin Stadium (er, LandShark Stadium, sorry) is not full to the rafters with 36,000 - that's just the baseball capacity. There should be nobody in the outfield upper deck seats unless it's the playoffs.

                        - Single A Teams: We need these in some form. I'm not really worried about playing with them, but they have to be there during franchise.

                        - Collision Detection: This is probably the most annoying thing in this game - I'm tired of things going through other things!

Yea I agree with you here. MVP 05 has them and they are pretty cool, but unnecessary.

Russell said in page 1 of this thread that glitches will be a part of mlb 10 and I agree with him. Technology has its limit, that is just life. However, I am thankful that SCEA has been able to use their limited rescources and produce amazing results.

So with that said, just fix:
                            • DL glitch (this is huge for franchise players)
                            • Fielding (change it to where we have full control over the fielding, throwing acc., throwing strength, etc).
                            • Tweak pitcher confidence to where if the CPU shuts you out for 2 innings, their confidence isn't completely filled.
                            • Please bring back ability to fire managers, coaches, etc. during season. I actually miss this from 08.
                            Must add in:
                            • A ball teams (as already mentioned, we need this to place our drafted players. If not, an inactive list should do fine).
                            • Manager tendencies-Every team feels the same. I would like to face teams, based on management style, that stock up on power, employ the hit n' run, play station to station, etc.
                            • Player ambitions. It would be cool if players decide to sign elsewhere because they want high exposure, more money, playing for a winning club, etc.
                            • Please please please please please allow us to edit prospects during the season.

                              Things that I want:

                              1. New Player Models: Desperately need to change them. Dispose of T-Rex arms, better weight system and more fuller figures.

                              2. Better Jersey textures: They seem stuck on the players I want free flowing jerseys like the worst baseball game ever has lol

                              3. New Swinging Animations; Not much needed to say here but its awful...the back swing for one handed right handers is just horrendous. Also can we PLEASE get the japanese running swings that MVP had in 2005!!!!!!!!

                              4. New signature pitching animations: These need an overhaul....BIG TIME!!! 90% of the animations are horrible, awkward movment of body and arm motions. Weird releases....what is the mocap for if they look like that?? 2k9, the worst baseball game in the history of ever somehow has the best pitching animtions ive ever seen. If there is one page that needs to be taken from their book its that.

                              5. New throwing animations: No throws from the outfield look like they have any momentum behind them. Tired of seeing the awkward crow hop in place animation.

                              6. Collision Detection....Self Explanatory

                              7. Better sense of weight in players. When players run it seems like they are gliding on their feet and doesnt seem like they are hitting the ground. Diving looks weird because there is no reaction to the ground, they just glide across it.

                              8. GET MLB ON FOX!!!!!!! Imagine playing a playoff series and having the fox theme intro and Joe Buck and Tim McCarver in the booth. Current commentators HAVE TO GO!!! Its so bland, there is no sense of excitement.

Despite being a Cubs fan, I agree with you. Can't stand the throw from the OF that looks like a lollipop to the cut off man and then lazor's in to the base.
