    Re: @ Ghoste

Actually this wishlist is pretty moot, but continue to post away. The door has closed, game in full production with stuff already given to them months ago. I do know that the SCEA team is working on tightening things up for this year.

Remember, the more stuff you wish for is not necessarily a good thing. More code, more bugs. I don't expect that.

Fine. I thought this was a wishlist. Regardless if it's minor/major, or if the dev team looks at it or doesn't. I'd rather not debate.

Well, there are things that have been posted that people want in the game that's already there. Some people don't know that.

If you would have read back the only reason the thread is open is because we have a lot of new posters, and so that we don't have hundreds of "I want this in the game" threads that have already been discussed.

        It's all good.

This may have been mentioned but I really hope old stadiums are available for season mode. I know it was mentioned in the collectors edition discussion, possibly as downloadable content and Russell had an interesting reaction so I have my fingers crossed.

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

            <hr style="color: rgb(57, 57, 57);" size="1"> A couple of things for Franchise:

-Players retiring and coming back as coaches.
-Being able ot select a team captain (would affect team chemistry)
-Player/coach personalities (would affect team chemistry and how likely player was to argue calls/charge mound)
-Being able to create a new stadium for your franchise/change team name and/or uniforms
-Being able to fire your coaches during the season
-having the ability to sign another teams batting/hitting/base coaches as your head coach at any time without them having to be fired by their current team or having their contract expire.
-being able to have a player-coach. It does happen in baseball once in a while. (last one was pete rose)
-being able to call up a rookie right after the draft if you want.
-international players should be able to be signed at any time not during the draft/ that's not realistic. You should be able to sign them as young as 16 years old.
-Game should say all coaches names. I hired Don Mattingly as my coach for the yankees and every time he goes out to pull a pitcher it says "the yankees manager" instead of his name.
-being able to create a coach (manager, batting, pitching or base)just in case the game leaves a couple out like it did this year. (name database would apply just like when creating a player)

********-You should have the option to download pictures to your system to replace player photos. For example, if you trade for a player from another team he still shows up wearing that old teams uniform. This would allow you to download a picture of that player online in his new teams uniform (or photoshop a picture) and then load it to the game. You would aslo be able to do this for any created players and coaches. I think this would be pretty awesome. I'm tired of the cartoon face pictures and having players on my roster wearing the wrong uniforms in their pictures.
This is so good! I enjoyed reading this!

Just Wondering... (stats in the game)

Is it possible for The Show to be able to incorporate some type of "partnership" with www.baseball-reference.com for the game?

Just wondering, it would make the game a lot better for those that like stats and what not.

Re: Put your &quot;wishlist&quot; things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)

                  My mlb 2010 wishlist:

                  1. updated/new player models- self explanatory, aim for realism, go for more body definition, detail, and realistic body proportions

                  2. baserunning awareness- ex. I run a suicide squeeze, the bunt is absolutely perfect, it rolls right on the foul line,
yet when the pitcher picks up the ball, my runner runs right through him and the inning is over. Runners need to avoid the tag,
have some awareness on the basepaths. They need to dodge tags, etc. Also, the baserunning a.i. is awful. They are way to aggresive, as
they will run on a passed ball that bounces right back to the catcher, or a very hard hit ball to the other side of the field. As a result,
esp. if a very slow runner were to do this to begin with, the runner is toast, and could cost that user the game. The a.i. baserunning
needs a complete overall. Baserunning may have been overlooked, and it's time for some real effort to be implemented into the running game.

                  3. collision detection- everywhere, players are running right through each other, this needs to be changed. No doubt, you guys are the most
realist baseball game out there, but I can't say the last time someone has really ran right through another human being, baseball or otherwise.

                  4. double play break ups- Mvp 05 had this, I guess you could tie in this into the collision detection. There was the rare occurance when if the
break up slide was performed perfectly, the ss or 2b would lose the ball on the exchange in mlb 09. This still needs more to it, there needs to
                  be complete break ups.

                  5. online play- Please, take injuries out for quick match, or lobby play. It is very annoying, as to see I'm always on the recieving end of the
injury bug, as I have yet to see my opponent have one of his star players go out on an injury. Please keep this on online franchise/leagues. Speaking
on online franchises, please include it, thanks . I like what the gamecast features, maybe you could even further progress it by featuring a
system much like that of mlb.com or espn.com, but also include the ingame commentary of that particular game you which to watch. Last, SCEA, you guys
need to upgrade/buy much faster servers, the online play is just so unpredictable, and most of the time impossible.

                  6. day game transition lighting- I know last year, you guys definetly ran out of time. I'm sure you guys will have it in for this year.

                  7. presentation- I'm liking the post game highlights at the end of each game, yet there needs to be more to it. I'm not demanding play by play on the
booth, but something more in depth. On that, for online leagues/franchises, it would be awesome if the highlights at the end of each game where viewable
around the league. It would also be nice to be able to upload videos or screenshots via a website. Also, get rid of the 10fps replays, just play them
at normal speed, I hate trying to watch my pitcher strike out a batter when the pitch takes 10 minutes get to the plate. Narrow the commentary booth to two,
which will free up more space for more lines rather than repetitve lines from 3 different commentaters.

                  8. catchers- The passed balls occur way too often, it might be just from online, but even at that, catchers should be blocking the ball more ofter, as they
are indeed catchers in the big leagues.

                  9. 2 toned bat colors. ex- black barrel, normal handle

                  10. Have the fans lean over the railings when a hot shot goes foul. It would be hilarious to find some fans lean over and fall onto the field. It wouldn't
be too hard if an animation was used.

                  11. Weather: have rain, sleet, snow and what ever else weather may throw at you. Have cold/hot weather determine how well the ball will carry, which could
tie in with the wind as well. If it rains, have a cut scene with the field crew trying to get the tarp down.

                  12. National anthem. Fly over on opening day/playoff games/world series. Players line up and remove their caps.

                  13. Stadium fake ads, I know the ads need to be fake, but you could at least put a little effort to some what replicate the ads, with a similar font, style, or color. It would be awesome if
we could replace them with our own ads through an app online like a teambuilder from ea.

                  14. Take away old school jerseys for online. They are way overused, and its really annoying. Maybe have a pop up asking: "so and so would like to have a throwback game. Accept?" Just have the ability to select home, road, and alt.

                  15. The crowd attempts the wave. In teh same situation and timing when teh beachball is used, have the fans try to get the wave going. Some should fail, and
the rare occurance of a successful wave. Make sure it NEVER happens at Wrigley Field.

                  16. Ground crew tries to get out the tarp while raining, ground crew gets out the rakes/little tracters pulling the rakes in the 5th or 6th inning fixing up the dirt. Or in
the beginning of the game, the grounds crew could be hosing down the field to prevent dust. Also, adding onto wear and tear, have the dirt a little wet during the beginning of the
game with no dust, and as the game goes on, more dust accumulates, and the field gets dryer.

                  17. I believe the game needs a complete redo on the menu system. It needs a new look. Also, I love the famous commentary calls from last year. Like the Rays walkoff homer, Victorino's throw, etc.
But I believe you can branch it out. Ok, do you know where the different players pop in and out in the menu? The players that cut out, then a couple seconds latter, another player comes in? Well,
I think it would be awesome, when that commentary call is played, a little video screen pops up with that play rolling, and with the play by play calling it like a highlight. And when it is done,
it returns to the normal soundtrack, you could return to the players poping in and out.

                  18. I'd love to see the return of Louisville slugger bats. Actually, I'd like to have both, Louisville slugger, and Rawlings. This would really thrill authentic lovers.

                  19. Player Specific timing mechanisms. This already might be mentioned in the player specific ritual thread. But, I'd still love to see it. Like Josh Hamlinton's bat shake right when the pitch is
thrown, or B.J. Upton's little leg twist, or even Soriano's high leg kick. I'd love to see them all.

                  20. Last of my 20 wishes, I'd love to see a new Overlay system. I've created a draft that I would absolutely love to see. It would be similar to fox's new look, as it doesn't take away from your
view, and it can hide small in the top left of your hd screen, with a very nice view of the action.

For the rosters, I would like to see an actual DH position. Any player with DH as their primary position would be forced to have a secondary position, to account for interleague play, trades to NL, etc.

Also, I would like to see Utility or IF/OF as a secondary position for those players that play everywhere.

Definetely, my main wish is the possibility to relocate a team and build up a new stadium (as in Madden) or got the opportunity to create a new stadium for an existing team.

I would love to create my personal ballpark.
But this option must be very deep.
                        We must choose:
                        1) the depth of left field, left-center field,...
                        2) the height of the wall (which can be different in a small range) or the possibility to input "green monster"-like
                        3) the lights
                        4) the type of field (grass or turf)
                        5) the foul territory
                        6) the environment
                        7) number of seats
                        8) colors
                        9) altitude (which can influence long ball )
                        10) wind
                        11) position of bullpen

                        This would be soooo great.

I know this thread is apparently pointless but for me, as an offline franchise player, i think improving cpu trading would be my #1.

I have a lot of my own ideas on things they should change but basically i think prospects should be valued more and key players should be almost untradable in their prime (Hanley, Pujols)...even guys like Jeter should basically be untradable.

An online franchise mode would be awesome too

Agree very strongly. Although it is good, I hate not know exactly what my 40 man roster looks like on a regular basis. Ie...there should be a section that shows ONLY the 25 Man roster, another section listed as 40 Man roster and then a section with the final 10 players in your organization, further more, you should have a section listed for your draft pics. Which I might add, should be able to participate in some sort of BP, Bullpen sessions and so on for the remainder of the year before they participate in the following season.

I know I'm way late but I wanted to share it with you guys anyway. Before I start I want to thank the SCEA team for their endless effort in improving this already awesome game.

My wishlist for MLB The Show 10

                              1. Fix the throwing meter so that it really works like in MVP 05. And if I want to try and throw the runner out on first with the rightfielder I shouldn't be delayed by an animation.
                              2. Day transitional lighting. And night games now always go from a perfect blue sky to dark. Throw some nice sunsets/clouds in the mix.
                              3. Collision detection.
                              3. Being able to see the CPU warming up pitchers in the bullpen.
                              4. Catcher throwing off his mask (when needed) and giving clearer locations where he wants the pitch.
                              5. Pitcher view (like the batting view while pressing R3) this would be cool to check runners on 1st and 3rd for pickoffs. Runner windows could be turned off this way while pitching.
                              6. Give us control over the runner when the CPU makes a pickoff!!
                              7. Give us the option to charge the mound (again like in MVP 05) and argue umpire calls (and the intensity).
                              8. Make the diving/jumping option with one button work well. Pressing the R stick in the direction of the ball when a jump or dive is needed and it should make the proper jump/dive towards the ball. I've got the feeling that there is only one dive and jump animation now.
                              9. Completely redo on the meny systems. Too much going on in every screen.
                              10. Put some close ups of the audience in the mix (like when some dude catches a homerun ball, that kind of stuff)
                              11. Make the ratings numeric. Especially the runners speed, can't tell the difference between the bars most of the time. And incorporate it in the runners windows so you don't have to go in the menu to check how fast the runner is.
                              12. Accurate dugout presence. Now you see players that are actually on base sitting in the dugout as well.
                              13. Give us the option to use the cut off man last minute if we see the throw isn't gonna make it. Now there is only the option to use him or not. And while they're at it implement fake throws as well
                              14. Option to move the batter in the batter box.
                              15. Assign the correct fielder after a hard hit ball. Too many times I misplayed the ball because my outfielder was already assigned while I wanted to dive with my infielder.
That's all I can think of now

I don't know if someone has mentioned this already -

On RTTS have the option to play the whole game. Which might mean standing in Right Field for 4 innings with nothing to do and will certainly mean watching your team mates bat. I'd love this if it was in there.
