Dont know if you can, I've never done it, is to catch a foul ball headed for the seats.

More stats. Baseball diff from every other sport, is stats are a BIG deal. And DEF fix the check swing. I know umps are blind, but come on.

Ejections fot hitting batters IS NOT in the game. I have hit several batters in a row to see. Its NOT! I hope I dont need to tell you what balls, strikes and at the bag means. NEVER seen the cpu make a catch of a foul ball headed for the seats. Over 200 games. Season, online, exb. NEVER happened

Ejections ARE in the game. It's less consistent compared to 08 (not sure why), but they are there. I would love to see it extended into suspension in franchise though.

As for foul balls being caught headed towards the seat, it depends on what you mean. If you are talking a Derek Jeter all-out dive into the stands, the no, they aren't there. However there are running and jumping catches near the rails and one where you can lean over the rail an snag it. I've seen the CPU do it a bunch, but it's very hard to execute for the user. They aren't very frequent, but I've seen a fair amount in all my games.

I do like your idea from the other post for manually arguing calls. I think it would be better than the cutscene for the player losing it and getting ejected.

Maybe Im doing something wrong. To try it out I just hit 10 batters in a row. Nothing. The foul ball. Same thing. Never seen them LEAN over and make a catch. The little half jump, maybe.

No because they say its "too hard" and that they would need to rebuild the game from scratch. If they were thinking of the long run and not just next years profits they would have already been rebuilding this separately until they get it right. There should be no such thing as a sports game without collision detection. The collision with walls is also embarrassing in this game. I understand that its the best baseball game out there, which is not saying much since there are only two. The lack of realistic fielding completely ruins the game for me after awhile. And how is it that some of these features everyone wants were in MVP 05 and sony can't do it now. Isn't technology supposed to get better or are SCEA's coders just not that good.

Right...but how do you determine when the collision detection sets in?
A certain area?
A certain play?
Isn't that pretty much the same as having a canned animation?

Just look at Fifa and Madden. they seem to have collision detection without having to cut to specific animations. They need to have less cut scenes for fielding and just have real time fielding. They can use cut scenes for the replays.

Maybe if everyone on the field and all the walls are set to be a specific type of object and anytime those objects touch or get within a small distance of one another then a collision animation takes place based on their physics at the time.

I mean seriously, how can a **** game like madden do it but scea can't. Every other post is someone wanting collision detection. You would think they would at least try and not just give up.

they should add the official sound of every stadium like NBA 2k10 did. Also playoff atmosphere should be in the franchise or rtts.
